Came in for battery issues and a Check Engine Light. Ignored my request for a battery check and probably-replacement. Read the error code (that was helpful, thus the one star) but only gave it to me after getting all of my car's data to sell. And when jumpstarting my car so I could leave, the mumbling man who "helped" disconnected to positive before the negative! Luckily I have it on video, in case it caused issues.
Overall, extremely disappointed.

Seems like every time I come here.There's some sort of issue. Tonight's was a very fun one there's two entrances into this place.And the one I chose that's on that very steep.Hill had two little d energy trucks, blocking the whole driveway. No signs or nothing, just two idiots parked where they shouldn't be at blocking the driveway.
I get inside, I know what I want. I stand in line, a lady walks right past me that works there. It walks to the guy behind me. And ask if she can help him find anything. I know sometimes it's hard to see.But clearly you can count who's in line first, and who's in line 2nd

Called regarding a dead battery and needing a replacement on a Ford Fusion, several hours from home. Staff declined to install a battery, citing “battery location.” Alternatives were mentioned, but no direct help was provided.
In extreme cold on a weekend, this business was in a position to assist and chose not to. The problem was ultimately resolved elsewhere.Jan 25, 2026 -
Seth, the assistant manager of the store was so helpful in finding new wiper blades for me.He was even kind and came out to put them on my vehicle.I will always continue to come to you guys for my yearly wiper exchange, you guys have great customer service.

The manager, Dustin was helpful, and so patient. Jeep stopped making transfer cases. He made a couple calls, just to ensure me an option to have the part I needed. Very helpful!

Manager at this store is pretty amazing, called him on the way to a job this morning to make sure my parts would be available when i needed them. And wouldn't you know it, the Hub store accidentally sent the wrong ones. He made it right by sending his driver to the Winona store and then out to my location in Caledonia

Had the worst experience with them, went in to get my battery checked and changed as my car wouldn't start today. They put in a new battery and my car still wouldn't start, then told me to just drive it home and that there was a problem with my starter. I ended up driving it to another auto shop store and they tested the brand new battery and the new battery was dead. So I headed back to O'Reilly and told them this and they said its just my car needing to be repaired. I asked them to put my old battery back in, took them 20 minutes to decide that the battery wouldn't go back in and found out they put the battery in backwards. I ended up going to Auto Zone and they put in a new battery that worked. I was treated with disrespect and they made me feel "stupid". Will never be going back there again.

The same dam thing happened again the 2nd time.
The 2 sales men have 0 clue on how to treat a customer.
They tried to pick a fight so they didn't have to give me my refund.
They need to be fired.
I want my refund right now or I can keep going with complaint.
I am sharing with my friends across this country.
They are a little difficult to deal with. I'm glad they did the right thing and replaced my battery. If they didn't believe me I would have had to go thru legal channels.

Excellent help by the young guy. Had a check engine light on and he confirmed it was nothing more than a catalytic converter had worries it was much worse. Thanks for putting my mind at ease.

The customer service is amazing. All the employees are willing to share knowledge about cars and even help replace parts. Steve and Carter are especially kind. Replacement parts are sold for fair prices.

Was in from out of town. Employees were nice, and enjoyed a conversation as well. Even helped replace a headlight on my wife's vehicle, since I couldn't get to it. Highly recommend!

The staff in Lacrosse was helpful in making sure we had everything we needed. The one in Winona didn't have the part we needed, so I wish they could have told us the LaCrosse facility had it. We went to another auto place in Winona, and since they didn't have it, we called the LaCrosse location, and they told us they had it in stock. The LaCrosse, WI facility is much more eager to help. I will go back.

My check engine light came on mid-roadtrip and the guys here very kindly checked the codes and then referred me to a local mechanic who was able to more specifically diagnose the issue. There was zero pressure for me to buy anything from their store. Thank you for your help in getting back on the road quickly and safely!

All but one of the workers were very rude when I went to pick up my parts. Joshua was GREAT and VERY PROFESIONAL but others talked rude to me and didn't want to help me at all.
The day before I was told wrong info on inventory. Went to other store for nothing because it wasn't in stock. Ordered the parts to be at North side store. They had an issue with my mechanic (who wasn't even at the store) but took it out on me. I'm the customer, not him.

Going in just to return a core this morning, and was met with the rudest unhelpful individual I have ever met at O'Reilly's in my life. I do mobile automotive repair all across Wisconsin using all different types of O'Reilly's and this was ridiculous. Instead of trying to figure out the clerical error we ended up just talking about his tone.

I stopped in this past week because my windshield wiper broke on my morning commute to work, making for a stressful drive in attempt to find an auto parts store... When I walked in the door, I was greeted right away by John I believe, who helped me find better quality wipers and even did the work of replacing the old ones with the new ones for me... It honestly made my day and restored the crazy morning I was having back to a peaceful one to have someone so helpful and kind available.
I didn’t know this O’Reiley’s existed and only stopped in because I was in a bind. But in the future I will definitely plan on intentionally stopping here again for service when I need it. Thanks for providing such great service, it really makes a difference!Jan 26, 2020 -
So about a month ago, I went in to o’reilys and was Instantly impressed by the level of care the employees had to diagnosing a potential issue with my car. The level of competence by the staff was impressive given that none were mechanics. Thanks John.

Very helpful. He diagnosed my check engine light and told me it was a worn out gas cap. He seemed like a real knowledgeable auto guy. Very quick and friendly. He had me in and out in 10 minutes with no problems. Price was good too.

Called about a car battery. Was told yes, they have in stock. Went in, purchased battery. Too bad the salesman couldn't read the info on the battery. Had to return battery as it was the wrong one. What I still don't get, us that when you're getting all the info you requested from the customer, HOW can you sell them the wrong part?? Aren't you as the salesman supposed to know exactly what the customer needs by reading the computer screen?? Not overly impressed, as I wasted both time and money running around, when we should have been sold the right battery to start with (and yes, salesman had all the CORRECT info on the phone).

Great, honest service!! We stopped with AC issues on our way to catch a flight. The entire staff was helpful and friendly. The AC needed a larger repair but they did a complimentary quick fix to keep us moving on or way.

The rudest service I've ever received in retail! Not one employee said hello when I walked into the store. When asked where I could find a product, the employee just pointed in the direction. Didn't say a word just pointed. I live within minutes from the store but, will go clear across town to their competitor next time!

Worst service experience at an O'Reilly's to date. Asked the guy if they had their own brand of washer fluid. He points to the other side of the store and says "ya, i think it's over there" so i walk over to look, can't find it so i think forget it. Walk to the register, to have him take my payment not telling me when to swipe my card and hand me my receipt no words and speaks to the couple behind me. "Hey, thanks for your business today. Did you find that fluid you wanted" Lost my business, for all locations.

I was lucky enough to deal with an employee who seemed very knowledgeable and was happy to help with my list of questions. As a female who works on her vehicle and helps her father repair vehicles, it was nice having someone who didn't talk down to me or make me feel stupid for asking questions. So thanks to Dave at O'Reilly Auto Parts all of my questions were answered and prices for parts and tools I would need. Even if the price of a part is a few bucks more at O'Reilly's I'll happily pay that for knowledgeable staff.
