This was my first time using their service to throw away some garbage. The receptionist, an large older woman in her 50s, was very unfriendly. When I walked in, she was on the phone and gave me an angry look, pointing to another office. I went to that office and spoke with another worker. She told me to weigh my car on their scale and said a ticket would print out. If it didn’t, I should come back for help. I weighed my car, but no ticket came out. I went back to explain this to the receptionist. She yelled at me for no reason, saying that if I had been paying attention and was listening, I would have done it right. She asked me what kind of trash I dumped, and I told her. Then she yelled again, saying I should have told them what type of trash I had before dumping it, and she charged me an extra $50. They didn’t even tell me this when I arrived. If this is how their receptionist treats first-time customers, I will not use their service again and will tell others not to use it either.

Alway pick up on scheduled days. Also so nice to be able to talk to someone when need to call in.

It’s been 3 weeks since these people have even picked up my recycle. It’s over flowing at this point with literally no more room to go. I called them and they said for me to wait this Friday. This isn’t the first time. Last time they didn’t take my trash even tho it was pulled up to the alley. What exactly is the point of paying these people if the trash and recycle isn’t being hauled away.

Fantastic experience. Came to drop off some appliances on Saturday of Labor day weekend and my truck battery died before I left. Guy working the counter helped get me going with a jump pack. Didn't have to help me but took the time to do do, that leaves an impression.

Used Harter's for quite a few years for garbage/recycling puck up at our home and apartment. Great to work with and so nice when I needed to talk to someone.

Called me and told me I owe them a passed due balance which I was prepared to pay but my garbage hasn't been taken out in over two weeks which I will not pay for those weeks. She then told me I have to pay for weeks they missed my garbage pickup(I made sure it was out there on time i have cameraswith proof). This is rediculous Harters is only about milking you for a dollar if you can find another company to pick up your garbage I recommend you do so. Terribly rude customer service, and ultimately over priced. Far from happy with harters they won't be getting free money from me.

Aside from the dumpsters creaping out into the parking lot the pickup is always on time. Recently used your larger dumpster services and super happy with delivery and pick up. Thank you

Working with an area company that has multiple dumpsters of different materials has been made extremely easy as far as scheduling them to be picked up and emptied in a timely and routinely manner. As well as having them taken to jobsites and picked up from them. The staff is very professional and easy to work with! Thanks guys!!

Rating our service seems like something I would not care about, until it snows, or we ask something extra, or if we had to worry about oil leaks, or any other item that would make us want to complain...and then I think....you know these guys are pretty darn great....equipment to drivers to billing...these guys have their act together year after year!

Very quick and flexible with both delivery and pick up. I was disappointed that I had to get a 20 yd dumpster when a 12 yard would have been enough. The cost is steep, but I paid for the convenience!

The customer service is absolutely appalling. I have never felt so taken advantage of before and frankly, I have never had such rude and reckless communication with company from the jump. Don't expect decent communication if you ever have an issue or concern regarding this company.

Well as of late there residential trash is always prompt and professional, recycling however is another missed last pickup as my son is always good on putting it out on out on Wednesday nights we remind him. Recycling was missed Thursday I called customer service and the Driver lies about it not being out and Harters tells me that story Terrible customer service she begins to tell me there is a difference between can tops recycling and trash. I know this I told her my son is very diligent on having trash recycling out on time. Yet the customer service at Harters still maintains there incorrect belief that I'm the one to blame for not having the recycling out on time. Signed, Poor customer service

Our business also uses recycling and shredding. We had issues with unauthorized trash in our dumpster, Harter's suggested locking our dumpster for a minimal monthly and we have not had an issue since.

Lazy drivers or no communication there's a lot of construction in my town Rushford . The contractions people are doing there best to for Harter's to pick it up and they still don't. I know they have their routes but when there's no road they don't care even when they tell them where they are. They still don't pick it up. That is laziness and poor customer care. .

Harters is a great local company with responsive and helpful customer service and in most cases very reliable and on-time trash removal. Have never had any issues so decided to show my support.

Harters handles curbside recycling in our area and is usually okay. One week though it was very windy so most people didn’t want to put out their bins until morning. Unfortunately by the time people put them out it was too late - the truck had been through already. It had started early and went very fast since few people had their bins out. By the time I called to see if they could swing back and get ours it had left the town and would not come back (keeping in mind this was within 30 minutes of when it had typically been picked up). I was told to wait two weeks and figure out how to deal with more recyclables in the meantime since my bin was already full.

So they came to my house to get a dumpster they drove all of our lawn backed over chairs and then had the audacity to tell me that I broke the chairs. Not sure who they hire for truck drivers but they definitely do not know how to drive. my seven year old daughter could’ve done a better job. They have zero customer service will never use them again. And would not recommend!

Harters has picked my garbage up for almost 2 years at current address with no problem until approx 2 mo ago. My entire alley is being skipped 50% of the time lately. I have to call several times and usually they come back out that day after a little bit of a hassle but this time I was told they will get it next week because my garbage was too far back for the arm of the truck to reach. The driver completely lied if he truly did say it. My garbage is right before the alley line and they skipped the whole alley. None of our garbages move and have never had a problem getting to our cans before

Harters picks up our garbage, it was not pick up today, called and they said it was picked up because the truck scanned the the garbage container, it was not picked up, they said they have to believe their driver, what about believing their customer. Now they won’t come until next week or we can drop it off, worse customer service I have ever seen.

Refund of excess deposit not getting “signed”. It is a small amount but what what would they do if you had a larger amount coming. It has been sitting on someone’s desk for weeks waiting for a signature. Weeks ago they said it was in the mail. Called again and it has been just sitting there. They were very quick to take the money but take their time in getting any refund back.

The brought a dumpster 15 percent full of hardened concrete with holes in the bottoms and sides all rotted out. The truck had a hydraulic fluid leak and leaked all over my newer concrete. I called and asked them to come clean up the mess and two weeks passed before I heard back. The Owner comes out and says I don’t see that much hydraulic fluid. Yes, because I cleaned it up after no one called me back after asking for a clean up.

Harters is amazing, they pick up the phone and had a dumpster to me within a day. I had initially tried to call our normal trash service (large nationwide provider) but they were difficult to deal with on my rush request for a dumpster. After Harters delivered on time and without issue, I made a promise we'd switch our business service to Harters for our regular trash when our contract was up. We did that and we've never regretted it. Even during Covid shutdown they adjusted our pick up schedule without an issue. GREAT A++++ In My Opinion.

Poor customer service in my opinion. I set out my recycling bin last week and it was missed. When I called to let them know it was missed, they said the driver insisted the bin was not out. I have 2 other neighbors that agreed with me, it was out the night before. Then the person I spoke to on the phone said if they had to send the truck again, there would be a $15 service charge.

Harter's has wonderful service! This local company charges half the amount as the competitors. I have never been disappointed with the service. Their drivers are also friendly and accommodating.
