Had a pleasant towing experience today with Steven, way better than my previous experience with Craig’s, truly appreciated Steven and all his help today, trust has been restored.
I was housesitting in Onalaska 18 to 24 January when it was wicked cold & wasn't given garage parking. Thus Saturday when I went to leave? Dead battery. I reached out to my Insurance Roadside assistance who dispatched a tow service.... I was first given an ETA of about 2.5 hours. Talking to my insurer an hour later, she said she had talked to dispatch who said it was at least five hours! I asked: from when I made the request or now? She said "from now". Ok so a 10a call I'm looking at service @ about 6:37p!!! 6:30 came & went....I received a text that the ETA was now about 120 more minutes out. In their defense... it had been ridiculously cold all week....and they were still working on Friday calls. I rationalized as: super bummed having to miss a 90th birthday party!! However, I am in a home.... a warm home, not on the side of the road. I would be upset if I were and found out they rescued some warm house woman before me! 10.5 hours later, they hadn't arrived, so I canceled the call, it's too late to get my truck running and drive three hours home yet tonight. When I called to cancel and ask to be moved to Sunday's list, she said she couldn't do that. Defeated... I cancelled anyways....
I contacted my insurer first thing Sunday morning to begin the whole process again. I immediately after my request, my phone rang. It was the Craigs dispatcher saying she had me on the list for a jump from Saturday and just received a tow request, which was needed? I said the Saturday jump but I did a new request because I was told she wouldn't be putting me on Sunday's list. About an hour later Brandon called, he was outside. I went out to greet him and tell him what had been going on. I handed him the key fob he said "oh you have the key." I replied, no that's a jeep fob it's a dodge, that key doesn't work. I wasn't concerned when I bought the truck this summer because I've never needed the key. Now? I do and I don't Brandon couldn't get the door open so he called over his co-worker to assist w the locked door. They had a BP cuff looking thing to slide between the door & the frame to pump it up & separate. Unfortunately they said it was too cold, the airbags expanded. They would be leaving to help other motorists but I should call back in a few hours... once the sun has been shining on the truck a few hours and the temp has warmed a little, the day shift would be able to assist me. Thank you Brandon and Matt for attempting to get me running and out of town. I reached out later and didn't get the text that they were assisting me, when I called dispatch she said she had bid on the call as a four hour ETA so my insurer didn't opt for their service.
Car wouldn't start in -15 degree weather. Josh came out in 15 minutes earlier than what was quoted to me (while helping other people in the same predicament) and got me going in less than 5 minutes. Very pleased with the quick and friendly service.
Called at 9 am because my car broke down at a gas pump. Got a call about the car not being there at 7:30pm. Gas station towed the car because it took them over 10 hours to even get to my car. Ridiculous. Would give less than one star.
Edit: they did not say they were going to take 10 hours. We waited for the car for an hour and a half and then were told they would get there soon so we could leave. Because it was on private property you would think they would move a little faster. Did not work with us monetarily and made us pay to get the car out of impound (when it’s their fault it’s there) and to tow the car to the location it should have been in the first place had they moved in a timely manner.
Spoke with two reps via the phone today- both super unpleasant, non understanding, and not flexible. Probably just go elsewhere.
TO THE BUSINESSES REPLY; What a professional business model, the only reviews you reply to are to the one star reviews where you blame your customers for your bad service. I asked you to look at the transmission fluid dipstick same day, not perform open heart surgery on the fly.
When i got into an accident, I was fortunate enough to have Craig's tow away my car. They were kind, honest, and helpful throughout the whole process, making a difficult situation a lot easier. Ive dealt with shady tow companies in la crosse in the past, so i was skeptical at first, but I would definitely trust them again if needed. 10/10 experience
Happy customer. Driver was very polite and professional. Got my car started in less than five minutes. Was dispatched to me through my insurance company roadside service, so I’m not sure how much it cost. But it was worth it
Was looking for a vehicle, found one on facebook, customer service 10 out of 10! Bought vehicle, had a leak brought back 2 days later fixed it right up for me. Very honest company. Definitely going back.

Dennis Hale was great. Thank you Craig’s for picking up the pieces when the other AAA dispatched company refused to do their job and literally hung up the phone rather than listen to the alternate and workable route offered to be able to meet the needs and help the stranded motorist who needed to get to work. I appreciate your dedication on a very busy morning.
Got my car towed to Luke’s auto repair because of a bad starter. These guys get it there, coincidentally with a whole slew of suspension and alignment issues that weren’t an issue when I had used it. Another coincidentally 10ft skid mark going from my driveway to the road that shows up after the towing. A lot of odd coincidences. Don’t use this company if you value your car, especially if you have AWD/4WD.
Got to us with all the traffic and the guy they sent out (jeremy) was awesome. Hopefully, I don't have to use their services again but if im having car trouble, ill be calling them.
Truck had a fuel pump stop working after my 10 hour shift. After 4 hours of ooga dooga-ing I decided to tow it home. The wait was a little long. But the driver was dropping off a vehicle, before he came to tow my truck. The wait was well worth it. Drake was phenomenal and backed my truck into the driveway like a pro. I have a second vehicle in the garage so putting my truck in the right spot was important. Not only did he line it up perfectly. But there wasn't a single scratch on my beautiful muddy chevy. If you call Craig's and its around 7 or 8 ask for Drake he is a stand up dude imho!!!!!
Service was prompt and courteous. Tony did an amazing job. Had vehicle towed from a Kwik Trip…Tony arrived before I did. Everything went smooth….extremely happy. Highly recommend!! Great job Tony!!
We broke down in Onalaska Wi. We requested a tow through our insurance roadside assistance and tow truck operated by Robert was there within 20 minutes. Robert was very professional and definitely knew his job. If we ever need a tow again we will be calling Craig's towing! Way to for hiring guys like Robert! Thanks again!
Ben rescued me and my elderly Mom, after my '06 Chevy died. He is very kind, and got us home from an errand a few hours after my oil change at a "big box" store. We are grateful. Insurance covered it all. Be patient folks. It's heavy work, and they are open 24/7/365, so just relax. These are good guys, helping you out of a jam another mechanic should've attended to. 5 stars/donuts! Ha!
We had a work truck break down. I called 4 other towing companies that I was referred to--- they all told me "Not today".
I was so happy when I called Craig's and they said "yes today" They also communicated with me after they delivered our truck to the shop. Awesome experience with them from start to finish. Thank you for that!
Do not ever go through this place unless you want a headache and frustration by the end. Contacting them through my insurance and was told they would be arriving in 45 minutes to 75 minutes at 7:45 for a Tow. 9am I called only to get rudeness and hung up on. Called back again and spoke with the owner got the same amount of rudeness but a promise that they were finally on their way. Only to get picked up over 2 hours after the initial time by an unexperienced driver with a giant crack through their windshield. I was also told that I'm lucky they're even picking it up since I called and questioned them which is rude
I usually don’t leave reviews, but I definitely am with this company because I don’t want someone to get stranded. I scheduled a tow with my insurance company to take me to a shop. They booked Craig’s towing at 11am. I was told it would be up to 2 hours before they could get to me which was totally fine. I was thinking by 130/230 I would have the tow. Nope. 6 hours later, I finally have my insurance company book with someone else because they kept pushing me off. Not once did they call me, I had to call them 3 times to get an ETA and all they kept saying was “we can’t for sure tell you what time”. If you can’t handle being busy, then please don’t accept the clients. I luckily live here, because otherwise I could’ve been stranded in my car for 6 hours with no heat due to my starter going out. (Which they knew about). Craig’s towing, please take better care of your clients. -Sincerely, a young female that this situation could’ve ended up a lot worse if I didn’t live here.
Thank u to Craig's Towing for doing such a caring and excellent job in solving my daughter's car problem. Not only did Craig's towing immediately answer my daughter's call when she needed a tow for a blown tire, but they also discovered that the coils were out of place in the rear of the car. Craig's took the time to help my daughter diagnose this problem while she was stranded in a Walmart Parking Lot. They quickly and freely fixed the situation, gave some additional advice on what to do and sent her on her way. Thank u for taking care of my daughter.
Normally I do not leave bad reviews but the customer service as handled by Ben was completely unprofessional. I can understand being busy but when I’m being told a tow will be at a location at 1:30 pm to take my vehicle to an appointment at 2:30pm I expect just that.( I called them at 10:22am. Not once , did a representative of Craig’s towing call me to tell me there would be a delay, instead hoping I would stay over 12 hours waiting. I called them at 2:30 to ask where the tow was. The receptionist lady that answered said the tow was currently on the way and would be there shortly. I ended up being very late to my appointment because a tow never showed up. I had to drive my vehicle very slowly through back roads to make it safely to the auto shop. I wasn’t called or updated until a 11 hours after I called and scheduled the tow. I informed Ben that I now longer needed the tow seeing as it was 9pm and I had already handled it. Although understandably frustrated with a long day I feel the way Michael handled the phone call was extremely unprofessional, rude, and totally immature. The solution to this problem? Give your customers accurate and realistic wait times AND if you cannot be there at the appointed times agreed upon give them a courtesy call. If I were an owner or supervisor of this organization, to say I would be disappointed, would be an understatement. I wish the company the best but this experience and SAD customer service left me in poor taste. Best of luck, Do better Ben.
I want to thank this company for going above and beyond with my vehicle. They were super quick, careful & polite. They have a grew crew who cares for the people & affordable prices. I would 100% most definitely recommend them to anyone. They picked my car up in Iowa and took it to WI at a 1/3 of the price compared to anyone I called to tow my vehicle. Thank You to the hard working crew you all have do for the WISCONSIN surrounding area's. I love this company.
I have called on Craig's many times. Always great service. Especially the last two days. Had to call for a jump both days. The guys who drive/work for Craig's are exceptional! Very friendly! I could talk with them for hours. Also, friendly office staff and quick service. CRAIG'S IS ALWAYS MY FIRST CALL.
Car started overheating. Called 4 towing services and Craig's had the best price and was able to get to me immediately. Dylan was very prompt, polite and efficient. Got me towed and had a very nice conversation with him on the way. Found out he's a Marine just like my husband. Not that I want my vehicle to need a tow, but I'd call Craig's again, for sure!
Broke down at oreilleys ,Craigs towing was 2 streets away , I called at 7:35 Am , they open at 8 , estimated 8:15 Am. 8:20 I see both trucks fly by, called to confirm and left keys with the store .
Tow truck picked up the vehicle at 10:40am Took it back to their shop . They Looked at it , estimated and called me. Next morning they had the damages fixed. Suggested I have the control arm on other side replaced as well, and I mentioned my ac not working, they looked at that as well towards the end of business day everything was fixed and working !!!!
Parts and labor was half of what I was originally expecting , and I'm just so very happy that my vehicle is as good as new , and I was able to drive to work !

Horrible! Tried to tell us they didn’t do more damage to our vehicle when they did. Since we had before photos and after they towed photos. And you can clearly see that they did damage. Then proceeded to scream at us. Expensive! Worst customer service!
