Clean, organized, and well stocked. Very affordable pricing on food AND liquor. Hubby and I no longer live in Wisconsin but make it a point to stop and shop when we are passing thru.

I had never seen a place like Woodman's Food Market. I was in awe upon entering. The staff was helpful, the aisle were wide. And there were so much of everything. Just aisles upon aisles of the same thing. I can honestly say that, this was the biggest grocery store I'd ever been in. I loved it.
Love the Woodman's Stores. Best grocery store. Lots of choices. Everything's usually in stock. Can find products I can't find in any other grocery stores and products I haven't seen for years. Great prices. Wish there were more Woodman's around.
Had great difficulty finding staff to help me find an item that was only labelled as being within their very large dairy section. I spoke to two people who were stocking but were apparently only vendors and could not help me find the item I was looking for. Ended up giving and finding it elsewhere
Like anywhere else some prices are high and some are lower. Produce always seems to be the better price. Meats are way up there. That’s why I shop different stores to get the best prices for items at different stores.
A lot bigger than the stores around me more fruits than mine just a better store products had more quantity than by my store overall a good experience would recommend you try it yourself.
First time being here. The store is massive, You need a directory when you walk through. Great selection on everything- Food, drink or vegetable wise. The staff was hard to find but friendly after you found them. I think they had 3 bathrooms in the place. The liquor store had about 8 aisles of everything you could imagine.
This my FAVORITE grocery store. They always have everything that I am looking for when I shop. Their prices are phenomenal! My husband loves their clearance section by the front doors
This review focuses on the self checkout experience. The selection of products is not an issue, the self checkout however is something that needs improvement. There NEEDS to be more than one employee working the self checkout, at least for the first few months of their opening. They do not have the conveyor belt self checkout which wouldn't necessarily be a problem, but their current setup requires a employee to "clear" or login to the kiosk to confirm that you're using your own bags. This drastically slows the the check out process and is made even worse when you're forced to wait while the singular employee is assisting other customers.
We spent the same amount of time or more in self checkout than actually shopping.
We live in Kenosha, but equidistant from both Woodman's locations. We would prefer to shop at the Racine location as there's other places we'd shop as well, but until the self checkout experience is improved, we'll stick to the Kenosha location.
I'm giving them 4 stars because I would like to see them have more self checkout lanes. The self checkout lanes that have those long conveyor belt like, I feel like they should get rid of those and put in the normal self checkout register areas like they have that's right in front of the customer service area. If they got rid of those ones you could fit at least 4 more self checkout lanes without taking up a bunch of space, that they already don't have.
Always a huge selection...they usually carry different items than all the other grocery stores and have a lot of speciality items you can't find elsewhere. By far one of the best places to go and the employees make good money so they aren't super crabby like other stores.
I don't mean to sound disrespectful or be insensitive to anyone when I say this, but this particular Woodmans is like the Mecca of grocery stores in my opinion.
This store is the size of a shopping mall and has just about everything food related known to exist here. The Woodmans store closer to where I live, in Buffalo Grove just pales in comparison.
We average about 3 trips a year here and I've never had a bad shopping experience.
Like I posted in my review for the Buffalo Grove store. I wish Woodmans would have better and more personalized coupons and promotions. But I'm not sweating that.
The cheese aisle is genuinely one of the most impressive things about this store. It has just about everything Mars sells, at a fraction of the price.
Also of note, the store is slightly cheaper than the stores in Illinois. That shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.
Normally I dislike choosing favorites on things, but there is no question here. This store is number 1 for me and my favorite trip here is always my next one!
This review is long overdue. I shopped here on Sat. 4/12/2025. I was in the area for the Outlet Mall, the person I was with wanted some Spotted Cow, so we stopped in.
I picked up a few items for myself, I was actually the guy that spilled the Distilled Water case at the Self Checkout, I apologized to them but I promise next time I'm in the area I'll pay for an extra bottle because even though it was an accident it was 100% my fault.
This is a great grocery store, huge, tons of selection, and the employees we interacted with were all very helpful and kind. The true definition of a 5-star visit. A+++. Thank you Woodman's K-town!
one of the best grocery stores in the usa. MY husband like phillips light vodka and cant get it in indiana where we spend the summers. Our grandson lives in northern illinois and my husband calls orders it and grandson picks it up. Great service and the liquor department takes care of him every year thanks
This store is the stuff of nightmares. It’s Home Depot-sized. Impossible to find anything with signs in the middle of the aisles. If you buy alcohol, you must transact twice- this may be a weirdo WI thing but to have two costco sized stores to get a few things for a weekend trip is not a good idea. also! no Visa / MC! This place takes cash, debit, and discover. …discover!!! The whole experience took years off my life.
When ordering online I have ordered meat on two separate occasions now and received meat that was going to expire the next day. Who can afford to buy meat and not cook it immediately or let it spoil? Pork chops had distinct odor from opening package like it was not kept cold. Also ordering food 24 hours in advance should not require a service fee. I called not for refund but wanted to voice the issue and waited over 20 minutes on hold to speak to manager. Also coffee mate creamer in 66 oz is always out of stock. How about keeping ordering up?
Does not accept credit cards except Discover. In 2025, you need to post stuff like that on the entrance so people know not to shop there.
People are tourists sometimes, especially if you're setting up a big display of New Glarus for people from out of town to pick stuff up.
And as I'm complaining next to the ATM about it, locals just think I'm funny for not knowing the local customs.
I left with my money and without my beer, sorry I came.
I’m so grateful for Woodman’s!! When another retailer canceled my delivery order for dog food the only place open was Woodmans. Good the dog feed and a new store to shop at! Thanks for being 24 hours!

Their produce section is one of the best I’ve ever seen — fresh, colorful, and fully stocked. We recently organized a Teacher Appreciation Week at our elementary school and needed specific-colored items for themed days. After visiting multiple other stores with no luck, Woodman's came through with everything we needed! We couldn’t have pulled it off without them.
If you’re looking for selection, quality, and reliability — Woodman’s is absolutely top of the line.
Just the best grocer around.ore variety than you ever knew that you needed. So much fresh produce, meat, cheese, bread. My favorite grocery store to shop at. Prices very reasonable. Just be aware they only accept Discover for credit cards. I did not know that my first time and had to use the ATM. No visa or master card
I'm not from this area, just decided to check out the store while passing through, and it's incredible! So. Much. Stuff. It's the store I never knew I needed at home.
They have everything you could ever imagine and everything is set at a fair price. I’ve been to grocery stores and supermarkets all over the world and I was VERY impressed with Woodman’s. I wish they had one in Florida. It’s amazing!
