I highly recommend this establishment. Had a car I needed towed from southern WI to IL, pretty good drive away. I called and got a quote immediately and had some questions that I had to call back about whilst figuring things out and the woman I spoke to was patient, kind and helpful. She scheduled the tow for the very next morning and they were nice enough to allow me to go with so I could go get the check for the sale of my car at where they were dropping it.
The drive was safe and pleasant and the employee, Marty, made it a great, comfortable experience. Great guy! He even waited to take me back to WI as I had to wait for a decent chunk of time for the place we brought the car to to process things; helped me make sure my plates weren’t left on the car, making sure I left with and got home with everything I needed and he didn’t have to do any of that, just drop off a car, yet he was lookin’ out! Made sure I got home safely, too. Very appreciative, he went above and beyond and the experience was professional and smooth from the moment I called them.

Don’t even consider going elsewhere. They will diagnose your problem and fix it. They don’t search out what doesn’t need fixing. Even when you think something needs fixing, they look at the problem and tell you to if it needs fixing. They have definitely saved me money with other repairmen who get as much money as they can out of you.
My mom and step-dad (both are seniors) had a tire blowout on the interstate with their work van. Marty from McDevitt's was there immediately for the tow. Fastest service EVER...in the heat and on the dangerous highway. Very professional and courteous. We appreciate him. Thank you Marty.

Not sure if McDevitt's believes everyone is ignorant, or just me, but being told by the shop manager to "turn up my radio" to drown out a knocking noise my car was making AFTER it was repaired, was NOT an appropriate solution.
After several trips to McDevitt's, my insurance advised me to go to the dealership. The dealership said my car was DANGEROUS TO DRIVE, and repaired the suspension "repairs" that McDevitt's performed.
We had to have our SUV towed twice in the same week. We had two different drivers and trucks. Both were very professional and courteous. The took care to not cause any damage, and were attentive to not getting the interior dirty or greasy. I would definitely recommend McDevitt Towing to anyone!!
McDevitt’s replaced the Cummins in my Ram 2500 . The grid heater bolt broke and toasted my engine. I can’t thank them enough for quality of the work. If your engine needs service or any other maintenance. Make an appointment.

Absolutely WONDERFUL service. I needed a flat tire repaired and Carlos came out and fixed it in about 3 minutes. Super friendly guy who was also my driver when I needed a tow to KNAUZ in Lake Bluff. The lady in the office was exceptionally kind both times and I couldn't recommend them enough. It was raining when I had the flat and she dispatched Carlos super fast! I would give them 100/100 for friendliness, speed, and general satisfaction. HIGHLY recommend them! : )
UPDATE: I was driving by right at close and I pulled over for a quick question. Kyle and Chris were ready to get the heck off work for the night, but they graciously answered a battery question for me and even took a quick peek to make sure my connections were secure. ONCE AGAIN, wonderful service at McDevitt's! These 2 guys were so kind and respectful, and they didn't even have to do any of it. Could have easily said, "Sorry, we're off the clock but you're welcome to come by tomorrow." but no... They took the time to help a damsel in distress when they didn't have to. A+++++
AAA sent McDevitts out to rescue me when my BRAND new tire ( not purchased from them ) literally blew up. Martin came to save me and I must say, he is a customer service expert. My spare tire was questionable and he didn't just leave me there looking perplexed. He literally followed me to the gas station, properly inflated it and assured me I would be fine. If I ever have any automotive needs, Martin is the reason I will choose McDevitts.
Had a flat tire today and road side assistance was able to get us McDevitt's to assist with putting on spare tire. Kyle was great and was able to put the spare in a few minutes. He was also there quicker than expected. Thank you for helping us get this fixed quickly.

Went in due to a grinding noise my car was making and they told me a list of things needed to be replaced. Adding up to several thousand dollars.
Brought the car to several other people for a second opinion and they told it needed none of that. A simple alignment would take care of it. The places I brought it into even went part by part to show me why it was fine and what to look for.
Do not trust this company they’ll cost you thousands in unnecessary repairs. It’s sick what their doing to people. Thought they were a business you trust but it turns out their liars and frauds. Very disappointed with the people here.
I had them tow a 1979 Trans Am that was in 2 different pieces that I'm going to restore. It also had to go into an awkward storage shed. I had been denied by 3 other tow companies who refused to help me tow it because it was difficult. McDevitt's spent three hours helping me tow this vehicle and definitely earned their pay! He was very nice and professional. Would absolutely use them in the future!
Contacted McDevitt's to move a shed. They responded immediately that they would be able to help. I was out of town at the time, they arranged for delivery within a day or two of my getting home. I had been contacting another service for over two months - they failed to follow through. McDevitt's did a fantastic job and also helped out another person who needed a similar service. Highly recommend them.
My car overheated, leaving me stranded about 100 miles from home. After some struggles with AAA, McDevitt's - Brent and Jenny in particular - stepped up and provided some very professional service. They let me know exactly what happened with the car, and what needed to be done to fix it. They then completed the repair quickly, for a very reasonable price. Very courteous and understanding - they made sure the roadside nightmare had a happy ending. Many thanks.
Very nice place to get a tow.. the driver was very concerned about our safety since we were on busy street.. they were very quick getting to me. From the young girl Jen I think that answers the phone from drivers. Everyone that I dealt with is very nice. Hopefully I don't have to use them again anytime soon. If I do that's the first tow company I call.
McDevitt's saved my husband and I after my minivan shut off while driving down I-94 at 8:30am on a Friday morning. Not only did the driver drop me off at the car rental place he took my husband with him to drop the van off at the auto shop. Service was quick and the driver was excellent with his service and nice conversation to boot. Definitely would use them again, although I hope I don't need to anytime soon lol.
To start with we would give this company a 0 star review if we could on this particular day. Cory is a tow truck driver for this company and performed the towing for my client as they have AAA and towing is no charge. I own a small business in Kenosha. When a vehicle is towed in it depends on the circumstances and extent of the repair that the vehicles needs on whether the vehicle can be placed just anywhere or just inside our facility doors and on a flat surface so we can move the vehicle around once inside the shop. This particular vehicles ball joint was broken and separated and special attention was needed. After moving vehicles around to accommodate this situation the tow truck driver became very impatient and was having problems with backing up the tow truck. I offered assistance and moved a vehicle out of the way. I went into the office to hang up the keys and when I returned I could see that he was removing the towing hardware off of the vehicle placed the vehicle half inside my shop door where the door cannot be closed. Yes that is right, halfway inside my shop where the door will not close in middle of winter with 3 degree weather! I asked him why he is dropping it right there and he replied "its not my problem. I have to go and your taking too long" I said that I cannot get the vehicle into the shop without it ALL the way in the door. He again said "it's not my problem." I said when other companies tow vehicle to my shop they will place it ALL the way into my shop so I can move the disabled vehicle around. I said a good tow truck driver would do that. He then proceeded to tell me to "Go F*** Myself. I asked him what his name was and he answered without hesitation "Cory"
I said "ok Cory I'm sure your company would like to know how you are treating your clients" and he said "go ahead call I don't care." I did call and talked to the female that said her position was office manager. I told her the reason for calling. She apologized for Cory's behavior and said she would let the operations manager know also. I advised her to make sure Cory doesn't tow another vehicle to my facility anymore as he is not allowed to step foot onto my property. After talking to the vehicle owner about the situation he had told me he has had issues with this tow company. He said that when they towed his vehicle last time and he rode in the vehicle with the driver he was texting and driving. He said he filed a complaint with AAA as I will be also
McDevitts has worked on several of my vehicles, and I’ve had nothing but the absolute best experience. The repairs they have done are always completed in a timely fashion. They have been super accommodating to work with my busy schedule anytime a repair is needed. I wouldn’t think of taking my vehicles anywhere else. Thanks so much!

I live an hour away. I went to Kenosha yesterday to exercise my voting rights, as that is the only place I am registered to vote, currently. My plan was to go to Kenosha, vote, and head back home right away. Well, imagine my surprise and frustration when my car wouldn’t start after I voted. I waited for the tow truck and called McDevitt’s, as that is one place my insurance company suggested I have it towed. I explained my situation, that I was only supposed to be in Kenosha for a moment and had nowhere to stay overnight, as I didn’t want to go to my parent’s house and risk infecting them with the virus, right after voting (there were people going in and out of the town hall, all day, as I had witnessed, and I could have had exposure there.) Jenny (the lady who answered the phone at McDevitt’s) was more than helpful and gracious and assured me the car would be looked at ASAP, and that she would do her darnedest to get it fixed right away, so I could go home. The only problem was that McDevitt’s was supposed to close for the day, less than an hour after my car was brought there. Not a half hour after the car was towed to McDevitt’s, Jenny called me and told me the car was good to go. I got a ride to pick up my car. Jenny came outside, took my card, and went in to swipe it. She came out with a Lysol wipe and wiped my keys and card for me. I was able to go home. I am beyond pleased and relieved with the service done at McDevitt’s and I am so grateful they actually stayed after their work hours, just to help me. Even the tow guy (Mike) was super nice. I would highly recommend this place and have absolutely no complaints. Essential indeed, McDevitt’s! I don’t know what I would have done without you! Thank you!
Had an issue with a flat tire and the lady on the phone when I called the shop was extremely kind and understanding. Paul came out to help with the spare tire change and was amazing! Very nice and caring guy. He even made sure I got the help I needed at the tire shop that I immediately took my car to after. Definitely going to have McDevitt's number on hand for future emergencies!
Took my car in for non working wipers. They said linkage, transmission and motor was shot and it would cost about $540 to fix. I took it home and took it apart to find it only needed a $5 plastic bushing fix!! Everything was working just fine!! They charged me $50 for assessing it!!!! Highway robbery and bold face liars! Take your car anywhere else!!
Since we had two great experiences with McDevitts in the past, we called them again to see if we could get a good deal on a personal tow. They did not disappoint! They came in lower than the "other guy" which we were thankful for! I talked to Martin on the phone a couple of times and he was VERY FRIENDLY! What a great guy! He went the extra mile to communicate and get back with me! All three times we have used McDevitts from August 2019 to present has been CONSISTANT: Great workers, Postive, Friendly, great communication, Goes the extra mile AND a fair and honest price.

This is by far the best place I have taken any of my cars to in the past 20 years. I called and they got my car in and the brakes changed all within 1 1/2 hours. They even gave me a ride home when I took it up there. They are the friendliest and most efficient mechanics that I have ever met.
If i could give 10 stars i would. Don't hesitate getting work done at this place. Car broke down at pick n save, called McDevitts, and in 10 minutes a guy was there ready to tow it to their shop. Also he was super friendly and didn't seem like he hated me like 90% of these other places. Car was repaired super fast, and within 24 Hours my car is home with me. Reasonable prices at a good value i would recommend these guys 100%.
I highly recommend this company. Tonight I found myself far away from home with a dead battery in sub-freezing temps and an impending blizzard. Normally, a quick jump start and I’d be on my way, but tonight, my hood latch failed, and I could not open the hood to access the battery. No dealerships were open on a Sunday night, and I was running out of time. I called AAA and they connected me to McDevitt’s. I very quickly got a call from their dispatcher, Sandy, and she was awesome. The weather was causing long waits, but her communication was excellent, and they were able to get a truck to me even sooner than anticipated. The tow-truck driver, Mike, was quick to assess my problem, and even in the sub-zero weather he was quick to carefully bypass the latch and open the hood. This was really above and beyond the call of duty, but after that the jump start was a piece of cake, and I was on my way. I could not be more pleased with the way that this company responded to my emergency. I highly recommend this group of professionals.
Called Mc Devitt's when my truck broke down on the side of the road. The said it would be about 30 minutes before someone got there. The driver arrived probably within 15 minutes, was very nice and loaded my truck quickly. He even gave me a ride to the mechanic's I was dropping the truck off at. They seem courteous and professional and I'd definitely use them again if I need a tow.
