$120 in store or $16 online for the same parts. Staff were not very helpful when described the problem and the needed parts to fix my issue.

I went to the Platteville Advanced Auto Parts yesterday 05/27/24. I walked in and asked the young guy at the counter if they had a tailgate latch replacement part on hand for my 2015 Ford Edge, or if I needed to order one. He then refused to acknowledge me and would only address my boyfriend who walked in behind me and was quietly standing next to me. He would only ask questions to my boyfriend (who wasn’t answering him bc he didn’t know what I needed, and repeatedly looked at me to answer.) I continued to answer his questions and he still would not acknowledge me. Again, and I cannot stress this enough, my boyfriend was NOT the one asking him any questions. When he brought up the replacement part on his monitor, he asked “is this what you’re looking for?” I said “yes, but that price is way higher than what I saw online, so I’ll probably order online.” He then said “hold on, I’m trying to turn the screen further,” and then asked again “is this the part you’re looking for?” directly to my boyfriend, totally ignoring me and everything I said. Pro-tip: you should probably address the person who is requesting the parts for their car. Regardless of their gender. Don’t assume that females don’t know what they’re doing, and don’t assume that males DO know what they’re doing. I understand trying to be helpful if you think someone doesn’t know what they’re talking about, but this was just blatant disrespect. You didn’t even offer additional assistance, you just looked up the exact part that I asked you to and then ignored me. Do better.

Cheerful and knowledgeable staff. Patiently, educated and demonstrated, even close to closing time when surely they must’ve been ready to close up shop for the night. Will shop here for all future needs.

Higher priced on what I needed, so I went elsewhere... very unknowlegeable staff....not going back anytime soon....

Would have been 5 stars, except I had a difficult time finding the driveway at night.

I was having some issues with my SUV and it’s battery and I had about a 100 mile drive to my next location! Devin was willing to help me check it out and answer any questions I had! I really appreciated it and it was great customer service on his part! Thank you again!

About the same as other similar auto parts stores. Kind of dark and dreary as far as the interior goes

Tried to be helpful but suggested a more expensive part after I explained I was on a budget and was okay with the cheaper stuff.

Called them up, made my order, ready to go when I got there.

This is where i usually go for car parts. They are faster for what they have in stock than online, you get to talk to a human about what you want or need, there is immediate help on the rare occasion of getting a bad part. The quality of their parts has generally been quite good, usually the best average of the available retail parts dealers. The people working here usually have a clue.

Worst customer service experience ever. We were running late and called the store when we were 5 minutes out to tell them we'd be there a few minutes after closing time, 7 p.m. to pick up a pre paid order We were told "If we get here while the door is open, that's fine, but if it's locked, there's nothing we can do." Pulled in the parking lot at 7 p.m. and the door was locked. Employee at the desk tapped his wrist and threw his hands in the air. No choice for after hours pick up when prepaid either. Very disappointed. Was relieved to find O'Reilly's next door open with friendly and personable staff to assist in our needs. My husband has used Advance Auto for months, but will never go back.

(Plattiville wi advance auto parts) at the moment they rate verry low. I purchased rear break pads and rotors also front pads from the dubuque Iowa store. I ended up not needing the front pads. since the Plattiville store was closer I tried to return the parts there. Now when I purchased the parts I paid cash. The Plattiville store would only refund me in store credit and said if I wanted my cash I had to go back to Dubuque. Their reasoning was they are moving away from the carquest brand and going to be more of an independent. If this is the case how can they call themselves advance auto parts? By the way I drive to Dubuque and less the 5 minutes had my cash.

This store is small, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely return if I ever need to.

Good people nice place competitive prices quality parts

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They are one of the few places that refills LP tanks in town. Would definitely recommend.
