I love a good antique/salvage store, but this isn't it. The lighting is terrible, most things aren't priced, and the place smells of more mold and mildew than the salvaged pieces themselves account for. It's clear they don't take pride in or care for their business, and it's in such a sad state. Hopefully someday things change, but atm there wasn't anything good about it.
I LOVED this store! For me, this was the best salvage store I have been in and that includes some cool salvage stores I've seen in Denver, Colorado. I thought this was a great salvage store with a lot of variety of many different cool things. If you're redoing a home that's vintage, I would say stop in or give the store a call and see if they have what you need. They also had some nice antique furniture, toys and some cool art!
Excellent stock of architectural materials. I enjoy the operators and the black cat being there when I pick up items. I appreciate the quality and care of their salvage materials. It’s obvious they enjoy their trade.
Expect more antique architectural salvage then antiques but still a very nice selection. The upstairs is leaking all over the place and mold is growing in areas. It's a really neat place to see, but if you want to go upstairs I recommend you wear a mask or respirator if you have breathing issues.
These people have an AMAZING selection of vintage furniture, much of which has quarter sawn white oak, marble, and/or beveled and stained glass. No junk here. Tons of vintage plumbing fixtures, doors, windows, mouldings, trim, and other architectural details. If you need to match something this is the place to find it.
Stand alone building (used to be an old furniture store) on west side of street. Easy to spot with street parking and some limited parking next to the building. Remodeling your home and looking for a period piece? Trying to find a match to the antique stair banister that broke? Looking for older windows for that Pinterest project? With two full stories of salvage you are sure to find something. The interior is very dim; almost like entering a cave! Hours are limited to two days a week.

This is an amazing find in Southwest Wisconsin. If you are looking for excellent architectural antiques, this is the only place you need to go. The built-ins are rare and in near perfect shape.

You won't find much thrift or glassware here, that's for sure.
Three tips:
1. The building isn't heated. Bundle up.
2. There is a 2nd story. I'm not 100% sure there's an elevator, so if that's an issue, call ahead.
3. I don't think it's open during the week. You'll want to double check hours if you're driving from afar.
Hands down, my favorite place in Cuba City to visit. I wish I had a place to put it all.
Glad to see that great things are being salvaged from demolition job sites and available for the restorers of period homes, etc. Bring a large vehicle for your treasures!
