Unique place to stop. They literally have everything you could want/need for your motorcycle/sports vehicles. Also a cool man cave to check out while there. Nice owners who always welcome visitors when open.
If you call this gentleman, 1: he takes the time to verify stock yes may take a few for a call back, but it happens every time. 2: If he doesn't have it, he can order it for you. He has a cool museum and plenty of others to ogle at if you're a bike nut.
Rick knows his stuff, have dropped off bikes with the weirdest problems that multiple people in highly regarded shops couldn't fix, Rick figured the problem out very quickly.
I was so lucky to find this place. Rick is so friendly and knowledgeable of old motorcycles. Always willing to help you solve any issues you may have and teach you fix it if your interested.His shop is full of amazing antiques and rare finds you won’t see anywhere else.
Stopped in on a ride to explore the area and had an amazing chat with Rick. He showed me all the amazing things he had to look at. Definitely worth the stop and when I come back to visit i will make a point to stop through again
I only wish I would have gone there sooner! Rick is very nice, awesome to talk to. Had what I needed in a flash and I didn’t have to wait for delivery from China! Going back and taking my brother with.
Took my 1978 hondamatic there for carb.work . Got it back running like a champ. Now I'm taking my 1995 Yamaha there,I'm sure it will be just as good. Thanks Rick, your the best motorcycle mechanic around!
Rick has a very unique shop.. it's a working shop with not only all the tools and the knowledge but parts for older motorcycles .. and imagine this when he fixes it it works and stays working imagine that a guy that knows what he's doing really a good place to stop if not just to look around and maybe buy something because there's a lot of some things, Rick also has a lot of knowledge on Harley-Davidson and every metric bike you can think of kind of reminds me of the Johnny Cash song I been Everywhere.
My wife and I were traveling up from Illinois to road america. We got a flat after hours Friday ruck came and got us after much deliberation about the safest way to get us on the road again he put a tube in our tire. Spent a couple of hours walking us thru his incredible museum. Hate to go anywhere else. They were a great family made us so welcome. Well worth the flat tire. Thanks to you all.
So hard to find a good motorcycle mechanic . I taken my old '81 Honda there twice now. Both times got it back and it runs like a watch. This is really the only place I would take my bike anymore even thou I now live more than 50 miles away.
Remember bringing my 4 wheeler here as a teenager and being very happy with the price and work. I now just bought an older motorcycle and made the mistake of bringing it to a shop nearby my house just so they could insult me and my bike and I will still be trailering it home after paying a ridiculous bill... Then my brother reminded me of dodge county cycle from our teenage years needless to say I will make the hour drive this weekend to take my bike to you guys and I am confident I will be driving it home.
Dodge County Cycles is so much more than a motorcycle shop. Packed full of cool memorabilia , rare old motorcycles and scooters. The owner Rick is a friendly guy who enjoys giving tours of the place.
They might know about motorcycles. They don't know about snowmobiles. I had mine there for pretty much the same problem twice and it still isn't fixed. It's time to move on to a different snowmobile repair shop
bring plenty of cash, chances are very good you might see that one perfect bike you want. The question is, will they sell it to you. It's the greatest operation I could imagine owning. Everything in there is special. I don't believe Rick worries about not making a sale, but he will help you out with anything. I even said to him one day, " I don't think you care if you sell anything" he just smiled. It looks so good on the entire property now. well organized. And Rick, kudos on the security system. I've seen many, none like yours. Remember, shoot first, ask questions later. Sorry, that's my policy.
