This is the place to go if you want the headache free auto care experience. Yes, it is slightly more pricey than most places but the 10% extra I pay is well worth the transparency, the quality guarantee and the level of service you get from not only the staff, but the manager, she is the absolute best I've encountered in auto garage customer service. Give this place a shot, be patient with their process and understand for auto work to be this top notch, things take time. You won't be disappointed by what they have to offer.

Janelle was extremely professional with the situation I was facing and put me as much at ease as I could have possibly been. She went the extra mile to ensure my problem was resolved and I was back on the road fast. Thank you so much for the speedy repair! Highly recommend for the courtesy, professionalism and quality. All rare qualities in business.

Very poor experience at this Firestone. Technicians were unable to effectively diagnose issues with my car, including changing their story multiple times as to the issues and list of services that were needed, including failure to assess the primary issue my car was brought in for. Will not be returning here if I can help it.

Great Customer service!! Came in for Wheel Bearings but there were a few other issues that turned up in the process. Amy and the other service manager (i forgot his name). Helped get things taken care of and me back on the road safe and sound. Despite the long turnaround (like I said issues kept turning up based on the nature of the repair) will still be going back for other service in the near future.

Great service! Fair prices, pleasant associates, and no high pressure. Most honest business - especially for auto care - that I have dealt with. Highly recommend this store.

I am writing this review regarding the extremely poor customer service and unprofessional treatment I received at the Firestone Complete Auto Care located at 8431 Madison Ave in Kansas City, Missouri on November 4–5, 2025. As a loyal customer of Firestone for over 20 years, I have always chosen your company over local mechanic shops—often paying more—because I believed in the reliability, professionalism, and customer-focused service your brand once represented. Unfortunately, this recent experience has completely deteriorated my trust in your organization. ⸻ Background and Initial Visit On November 4, 2025, I had my vehicle towed to the Firestone location specifically to preserve the battery life. I informed the maintenance manager upon arrival that while I was aware the battery needed replacement, my primary concern was a serious misfiring issue that made me suspect a possible problem with my starter, engine, or transmission. The manager advised that I needed to pay a diagnostic fee so the team could fully assess the situation, which I agreed to without issue. ⸻ Unresolved Misfiring Issue & Misleading Assessment Hours later, I received a call stating that my battery had to be replaced before any further diagnostics could be performed. I approved the battery replacement immediately. After several more hours, I was contacted again and told that all testing had been completed, no codes or issues were found, and that it was “just the battery.” I was told my car was ready for pickup. Upon pickup, I presented a few valid coupons, which clearly irritated the manager—an unnecessary and unprofessional reaction that set a negative tone. As soon as I drove away, I immediately noticed the same severe misfiring issue, unchanged from before the battery replacement or the paid diagnostic service. It was evident that the underlying problem had never been addressed, despite my clear explanation of my concerns. ⸻ Poor Customer Service and Manager’s Unprofessional Conduct I returned to the shop immediately and informed the representative that the car was still misfiring, the same issue I had paid a diagnostic fee to have properly assessed. The response was rude, dismissive, and completely lacking professionalism. I was told that they “might” look at it the next day. The following morning, I called to speak with the manager, Kevin. To my shock, his behavior was even worse. He raised his voice, dismissed my concerns, and aggressively defended the mechanic—despite the fact that the root issue had not been identified or repaired. Instead of taking accountability, he told me I could “just come get my car,” and insisted he would remove the battery he had installed. He did exactly that, leaving me stranded and forcing me to pay for another tow—this time to my dealership, where the actual issue was diagnosed and repaired with no complications. I contacted Firestone’s corporate office over two weeks ago to report the incident. I was told I would be contacted by the area manager within two days. That call never came. I called a second time and was informed that my ticket had been “escalated” and that someone would reach out shortly. Again, no one ever contacted me. It is now clear why this specific Firestone location carries an “F” rating with the Better Business Bureau and is not BBB-accredited. My experience aligns completely with the pattern of customer complaints posted online. It is unfortunate to see a company I supported faithfully for two decades decline to this level of disregard, hostility, and incompetence. I will never return to Firestone for any automotive needs, nor will I recommend your services to anyone. I will also be sharing my experience publicly so that other consumers are aware of the risks of trusting their vehicle—and their safety—to this location.

I requested Gideon and his team a difficult scenario to pull off given an unforeseen circumstance with a new tire installation. They adjusted my appt around to fix the issue and got me on the road when I needed to. Excellent work and service.

I was worked in without an appointment since I was able to leave my vehicle there a few days. They had my vehicle in a bay before my ride even showed up. An estimate by the time I got home! I was told when to expect my van to be done approximately. Then it was finished a day early. I was very impressed with Amy. Very communicative on every step of the way, despite being pretty busy.

I was in town for an event and my tire caught a screw in the hotel parking lot I was staying at. I called with the details and they were able to get me right away which was great! However, I get there and then proceeded to sit there for 2 hours for them to come out and say the tire cannot be repaired and I have to get 4 new tires right away so my bill will be close to $1100 and I thought this is nuts I know the tire can be fixed. Told them to put the spare on and throw the bad tire in the back of the truck. They did and I will give them credit they did not charge me for that. I went to another place the next day and they had the bad tire fixed and back on my truck in less than 30 minutes. How about being honest that either your employees have zero clue what they are doing or they don't know how to work with a pickup? I don't usually do reviews but since this place had such great reviews I figure they should get the 1 star review they deserve to warn others to run before they waste time and get screwed over.

Thank you. We brought my wife's Subaru in suspecting a tire leak and you simply did a reset on the tire pressure monitor system and all is well. No charge. That's good business. Didn't try and sell us new tires that we currently don't need. Just good, honest service. That's why when we DO need new tires next year, we'll be back.

Pros: Service work was delivered early, well before quoted time. Cons: 1) Office staff did not correctly apply a valid coupon I presented on initial payment and check-out. I had to discover this myself and go back by with my CFNA card to get the coupon credited. 2) While completed quickly, the job was not completed correctly: 3 ring clamps on two air intakes were left loose and leaking air, and the bank 1 MAF sensor connector was not even re-attached. This made the car very nearly undriveable for my daughter when she picked it up and threw off 9 error codes and dashboard warnings; so I am sure that the car was never test-driven after the work was "completed". I tightened the clamps, re-attached the MAF sensor connector, and cleared the codes myself. These oversights should have been caught and corrected by the shop before the car was released.

I was quoted a certain price for the tires I bought. The price went up $100 after they were installed. The TPMS sensors were not set up correctly, even with brand new tires, brand new TPMS sensors, etc. The light is still on in my dash. So now I have to go back and get them to fix it. This happens every single time this store does a tire rotation for me on any of my cars. It’s incredibly frustrating. I was waiting across the street at Starbucks. They told me it would take three hours. It took them five. They didn’t even bother to call me and let me know if it would take so much longer.

This was by far the worst service experience ever. I signed up online for appointment was confirmed then notified it would be two days laterSpoke to manager to make sure tires were ordered and ready. Showed up and tires were not ordered. Appointment was scheduled for three days later. Dropped off truck and found out an hour later the tires didn’t arrive. Had to leave my truck overnight. Following day my truck was not complete until three in the afternoon. This was my work vehicle and these delays caused much hardship and affected my customers due to the delay and rescheduling. Definitely not going to be backI have a fleet of vehicles and we have used Firestone before with good results, but this experience will give me second thoughts about future service

Update to this previously posted review. I have had nothing but problem after problem after problem and I'm sick of it at this point. I had all this work done in the beginning paying cash for it. It got to the point I thought I just bought a piece of sh car so I ended up opening a credit card with the company to help me pay for the never ending car problems. Just when I think everything is fixed because what else can be fixed after putting more then 10k into it there's problem after problem. First it started with the brand new tires I had gotten - there was a nail in one and uneven wear on the others so I used my warranty and replaced them still cost me over $300 to get the new ones on with warranty. Then a month or so later had to get my oil changed at another location where they tell me my tires are wearing on the inside of the rim something they've never seen before and they needed to be replaced. Again had to pay for that happen even after being told the tires that were put on after my first replacement were the wrong size for my car hence why they were wearing like that. After that I have an oil leak which I've know about but the other issues were bigger at the time so we dealt with those. Finally had to get the oil leak fixed so I bring it in and they 'fix' it. A week later my check engine light is back on bring it back in and there's another leak so they have to fix it. Great get it back think okay cool everything's good no 2 weeks later the check engine light is on again. I go and out source them to have it looked into only to find out that it's something they 'fixed' in march. It's only the beginning of May. Bring it in to have them fix the issue under warranty just to be told as soon as my car is in their possession that there is nothing wrong with it and it's working perfectly fine. Code magically cleared itself even though the check engine light was on when I dropped it off. The car won't start 99% of the time on the first try. The codes clearly state mass air flow sensor but they won't warranty out the issue without solid proof. As if I'm bringing my car in once every few weeks for fun. I'm missing work because it's in their shop so often. I finally found someone else who will work on my car that I can trust to take care of the issue at hand the first time and not play around. So much money wasted into this company. I would only ever recommend this place to everyone but now absolutely not. Don't go there unless you want reoccurring issue after issue. With no fix in sight. Very friendly staff. Informative and detailed. I have been going here for service for about 2 years now and will continue. Quick to get you in and out as well as thorough with their work. 10/10 recommend. Marley and Ryan have been great! Edit to add I've had 4 new tires, multiple oil changes, new battery, brakes rotors and calipers, ball joints, etc.

Five star review has everything to do with Amy, the technician running the front desk. I’ve gone to this location a few times and every time she’s running an efficient & low-stress operation. She always tells me what my car needs without pushing to up sell me. She can be working with five other customers at the same time as me (phone calls and car pickups etc), but I still never feel like my stuff is slipping through the cracks. 10/10 service, super impressive and the reason I’m a repeat customer.

I had an oil leak with my car that I wanted evaluated. Two different people told me that it was just the drain plug that wasn't tight enough (as well as leaking a small amount of oil in a different spot-which does seem valid). I told them that I would look at it at my house as I do my own oil changes. I go under my car to see if the drain plug is loose and sure enough there is a crack that is actively leaking oil next to the drain plug. For more context, I noticed that I had an oil leak with my car which was leaking oil before I just recently changed the oil myself. I quickly googled common things that can cause my make/model of car to leak oil and a common thing with my make/model is that the oil pan can get a crack right next to the drain plug (probably due to manufacturing/integrity of the pan). Seeing this, I knew this was out of my wheel house and contacted Firestone at McKee. I told them that my main concern is that the oil pain could have a very small crack in it as when I changed the oil, I thought the drain plug wasn't tight enough as the oil was coming from the drain plug. I have never had a drain plug not put on tight enough with my other cars, therefore I had a suspicion this was the cause (hence the reason why I didn't get under the car again to evaluate it much closer as I assumed something structurally was wrong). I then set up an appointment to have this evaluated by an oil leak test with dye (or something that they use). They called me the day of the appointment and said that they didn't need to do the leak test as they see the oil is definitely coming from the drain plug. Also a bit of oil leaking from the oil filter which could have been truly my fault which is fair. I asked if they had done the leak test regarding the drain plug as I was concerned about there being a crack there. They said they hadn't done it as it was "quite obvious the crack was at the drain plug". I then said ok as the technicians know more about cars than me. I went to pick it up and the front desk representative also said "I also looked and it is obvious it is coming from the drain plug.". I said ok and I will take care of that at my house. 2 days later when I had time to go under my car with a jack under it (nothing like the air lifts that they use at firestone), using a flashlight and a paper towel, I was able to easily identify a crack about 1 cm long that runs where the drain plug is. You can see the oil pooling along this crack as well in the picture. I am glad I didn't have them fix it as I have read using too much torque makes these cracks much worse. Moral of the story, I am not sure why they weren't able to catch this with all of their resources and lifts where they can stand to evaluate it. I got under my car on my back with my comparatively rudimentary tools and found the crack. Also the technician and front desk representative were both male-presenting individuals so I am unsure if that had something to do with it as I am a female. I know that this crack is small, but also I specifically said that this was one of my concerns at the time of appointment and over the phone while my car was in the lift. It is their job to do a thorough evaluation, which was not done. I would have gladly paid the $50 to make sure that it wasn't the drain plug, but to be honest, I am not sure if that would have made a difference. My concerns probably would have still been shrugged off.

Took my car in for an oil change. Got the recommended maintenance (tire rod replace). Car almost immediately makes noises on the area where they did work. Bring it in again and they said it was a dust cover causing the noise. They claim to fix it but my car makes the same exact noise again. Bring it in a 4th time and they come back with a ton of additional work that they somehow missed the other three times i brought it in. Lesson learned not to go here and to pay a little extra for people who know what they are doing.

Great value and service. The service manager was tops and kept me advised on the progress of my vehicle, and explained everything to me fully with words that were not overly technical, so even I could understand. I got great tires in a very reasonable amount of time. I would recommend the Fitchburg WI Firestone store to anyone who wants great service and a great deal on great tires. Jim Melka

I originally got an appointment with Firestone back in May for a control arm that needed to be replaced. They said that it needed to be fixed and it was urgent matter, so that was taken care of. Then they said that I needed to get a front brake job done, so on May 14, I got that done as well. Ever since after getting the break job done with the rotors and break pads, I’ve been having issues with my steering wheel shaking when breaking. I keep wanting them to fix it, but they won’t change out the rotors and break pads when there is a warranty. They keep saying it’s a tire rod issue and it’s bad when it’s not bad because I actually went to a different auto mechanic shop to get that checked, and they said that the tire rods are fine which I have proof of and they told me to go back to Firestone and get the rotors and breaks changed. Firestone in Fitchburg, WI won’t replace the front rotors and break pad. I keep getting the runaround from them and I spent over $540 on the brake job. They keep saying it is the tire rod end that’s causing the shakiness but it’s not because I took it to a different mechanic shop and they told me that is not the problem. It’s the rotors and how badly warped they are. The Firestone at Fitchburg WI keeps trying get me to repair more things on my van when thats not the issue. I want a refund on the rotors and break pads or I want them to be replaced. I will never go back to that Firestone ever again and they lost a customer if this doesn’t get fixed or resolved. I have spent over 3,500 dollars in the last 4 months on my van. Still my steering wheel is shaking when breaking at slow speeds. I’ve been a part of the Firestone family for over 10 yrs as a customer and I have never had an issue until now. I had trust in Firestone and now I feel like I can’t trust Firestone with my cars anymore. I’m highly disappointed with the manager there and the workers there. This looks very poorly for the Firestone company and extremely bad customer service.

Tires and alignment were done well and on time. Great communication throughout. Reason for 4-stars is poor management of the online booking system as the local staff likely isn't given the time from corporate to keep up with it. See other reviews - call to make an appointment. I did and had my same-day online appointment rescheduled to another day.

Very scammy. Paid $600 for my rear brakes and an oil change. My engine started smoking less than 4 months later. I did this oil change and my front brakes myself in a hour and a half for $275. Turns out they didn’t even change the filter on my car. I understand it’s more difficult to get off than usual, but to charge me for it and not even change it, and to actually nearly cause damage to my vehicle less than 3500 miles later because of just laziness and incompetence is absolutely insane.

I have only used this Firestone location to fix a tire. As long as the tire is fixable with enough tread they can usually plug the hole. Price was reasonable

Great staff, great work...if you can get in. Twice now I've made an appointment only to be told once I arrive that they can't service my car that day. According to staff, the website doesn't check with the store's system to see if the appointment is available, so you can get a full confirmation and still be left with a "sorry, we can't help you today" once you arrive. Same with calling: unless you speak directly with someone in-store you're liable to get booked with the wrong service or not booked at all. It's a shame because I've received nothing but kind and competent service by the staff there, but getting that service usually requires a 2-4 day ordeal between finally getting in and getting everything worked on.

The staff was helpful enough but I think the front staff needs either more help or training on prioritization. My appointment was for 2 pm. I got there at 1:41. I was told an hour and decided to wait for it. I left to walk around and came back at 2:35. When I got there I could see my vehicle was done and waiting outside. At 2:42 I was told by staff my vehicle was done and they just needed to print something and for me to pay. I then had to wait for him to take 2 calls and help 3 other people before taking the 5 minutes to do the things necessary for me to leave. I ended up leaving at 3:15 so a full 33 minutes after I was told vehicle was done.

I think they did a great job getting me scheduled quickly and efficiently. They found the tires I wanted and got them shipped in a day. I don't have anything else but tires done here so I can't speak to their other services. Otherwise fantastic service as usual.
