Don't take your scrap to this business! They are NOT honest! Hubby took a large load of heavy steel there and they claimed he brought mostly tin and paid him the lower tin price. RIP OFF!!!
RESPONSE TO SCHILLING AUTO SALVAGE COMMENT:
The load was 95% STEEL, not the other way around! Only tin was two stove pipes. Paint cans were punctured. You should have paid us the steel price for the steel. Bad way to do business. You definitely lost ours.
2010 Impala parts at junk prices to fix gas cap, visor and child lock system of 2006 Impala. New gas cap, new lock system and new windshield visor though used but new to us.
I was given money to purchase a suv at schilling auto from friends and my church. I was told there was one bad wheel bearing. It turns out a $300 fix is a $700 fix. My father suggested to just get the hub from a junk yard and it would reduce the cost. Ryan from shilling auto told me no problem they have the part and would have it by Wednesday. Also for free!!! Sounded amazing butI called Thursday to find out if I could pick it up because repairs had to be made Friday. The owner said they don't have one. Can't help you

Wonderful place, although I haven't done any salvage, their auto yard is pretty nice. Lots of budget friendly cars with minimal work , if any, needed to be done. Bought 2 cars from them now, no complaints on either. Hidden gem area for buying cars, friendly staff too.
Really like doing my recycling there they are all very kind to me and as a woman going to a salvage yard I have found it common place to get ripped off I don't have those concerns with Scillings they treat me right and I am always happy with my experience.
They did me a great service by picking up my busted truck from a parking lot after the engine started knocking. I decided that itvwas not worth fixing. Three days later i got them the title so they could do what they needed, and asked if i could grab a couple things before they scrap it. But they had already scrapped it before getting the title, interesting liability practice in my opinion, but they were nice enough about it.
Service was cool. Enjoyed the approach of the employees. Super down to earth. Cars are available at reasonable prices although its a salvage yard and gotta keep that in mind. Large selection as well.
They have always been decent enough to work with in my opinion. More willing to take things that some scrap yards might turn away, such as junk cars with tires on. Reasonably sized used car selection, most of which are on the cheaper end of the used car spectrum. Typically no high end or gently used well maintained cars in the lot.
Beyond expectations. Looked at several vehicles to find what I wanted. They were very helpful and polite through the entire purchase. Left there with a vehicle that was better than what I was expecting to buy. Fair on price, honest and what you see is what you get.
Friendly but office is quite "interesting". Hanging dirty shirt in corner of small high traffic area ... Hhmmm maybe not so much.
Great prices tho; very fair in the area. Will work with again.
Some vehicles for sale are OK, but most looked fairly rough compared to what I have seen for used vehicles in the market. Prices are set high for my liking.
