5/26/25. Arrived at my resort Saturday just as my power steering blew, and wouldn't hold fluid. Memorial Day I called Dave's. They immediately sent out a tow truck, and less than 2 hours later called and said it was fixed (damaged hose). I was resigned this week to being stuck without transportation in rural West Virginia. So glad Dave was working this weekend. Fair price, prompt service. Back on the road enjoying the mountain scenery.

What a blessing Dave’s service center was for us! We were skiing at Caanan Valley Ski resort and 4.5 hours from home. Our alternator went bad and Dave ordered us a new alternator on Thursday afternoon and had it installed and done by noon the next day. He also filled up our power steering fluid which was low and put gas in the van since it was very low. I can’t say enough positive things about Dave’s. Highly recommend!

Not all heros wear capes, some drive tow trucks. We ended up high center in a snow ditch trying to avoid another driver coming out of Blackwater Falls. There was no way we could get out without help. It was cold, windy, and still snowing. My husband came across Dave’s Service Center and gave them a call. They were there in minutes and had us out in seconds. They were friendly and professional and genuinely seemed happy to help. The cost was reasonable and we were back on our way in no time. Another testament to the amazing people of West Virginia. Thank you guys!

Needed a tire patched after a long night in the forest. A friendly shop, was able to get me in right away. Got me on my way and on to my next destination. Much appriciated guys!

I had a leak in one tire and got tired of filling it every other day, so I just dropped in to Dave's unannounced. They patched the leak (caused by a tiny stone) and I was on my way in about 15 minutes. I moved here from the DC area 4 years ago and I can say with confidence that the way I was served here would NOT have happened back there!

Hang on folks, this is a wild ride but it speaks to that character of the owner of this shop. My older father hit a rock in the road, somewhere between nowhere and no man’s land in the middle of the night, in the freezing cold. His tire exploded, and he is not capable of changing a tire on the side of the road. My dad called AAA and they informed him that it would be 2+ hours before anyone came. A long time went by and my father called AAA to get an update, they referred him to one of the local tow companies that quote told him “yeah I saw that call I’m not going out there” so here my father sits, alone on the side of a cold dark road in the middle of nowhere - EVERY daughter’s nightmare. A kind passerby stopped, spoke with my dad and recommended Dave’s shop. He gave him the number and my dad called. Despite all of the obstacles, Dave sent his son, Kyle out to put my dad’s spare tire on. He not only changed the tire, but did it kindly. Dave, Kyle, if you’re reading this, thank you. Seriously, thank you so, much for taking care of my father. You may not realize it but what you did means the world to me. Thank you. Sondra Zahn

During a family ski trip, my college age daughters car got stuck at the rental property after a snow storm. The neighborhood snow plow operator gave us Dave's number and said they were the best. He was so right! The roads were so steep that the tow truck initially had to back down the slick road, put chains on, and then reattempt. They got her towed up to the main road in the neighborhood and then stuck around and helped to insure that she made it safely down the road and out to where the streets were cleared and navigable. Talk about above and beyond! We are forever grateful! Thank you to the staff at Daves who kept our girl safe. Amazing!

Highly recommend Dave's Service Center! We are traveling from Ontario, Canada to Mississippi, and are spending a week near Davis, WV. Our brakes were grinding, and we needed quick service. Dave's had us stop by on Monday to assess what work was needed and ordered the parts. We returned Tuesday and in 40 minutes they replaced a rotor and installed new brake pads on all 4 wheels - all for a very reasonable price!

Not good .. my transmission went out on the way back to DC so I had our family car towed there on the account there was nowhere else. After calling multiple times, I was initially told it would take 4 weeks. No one ever called my back and despite calling multiple times a week for 8 straight weeks, it took them 8 weeks in total to get me back running and very expensive. They were so bad, I actually went and bought a new car! When I pushed for timing, they were annoyed and short stating I can have it towed somewhere else. When it was finally ready, I called 2 hrs in advance to share I was on my way but told I had to wait when I got there bc they were having lunch. Overall, these guys were horrible communicators, took 8 weeks to get a transmission in when it was clear they weren’t even trying, unfriendly and charged more than expected. Horrible experience.

My belt slipped off outside the lodge when we were on a short vacation. Lost power steering. The lodge recommended Dave’s. They were fast, responsive, helped us get home when we had no other way. The repair was fast and efficient. They knew exactly what happened before evening popping the hood. They got us fixed up, brought us our car in time to save our last day of vacation and made it safe to travel home. They were kind and courteous. Dave’s would be my first call if we needed help again. I can’t thank them enough.

Dave's Service Center repaired our tire. We were traveling and they took us right away. They were courteous, helpful, professional and friendly. If we need any car maintenance the next time we are in town, we'll go to Dave's.

We were on vacation when one of the cars needed a tow. Dave's service center was professional, prompt, and very reasonable with the cost of repair. We got the car back within 12 hours and didn't need to miss a day of work. Thank you so much!

We were away on vacation in Canaan Valley and experience jeep trouble we called Dave he was very knowledgeable and recognized the problem right away. He went came to where we were and put the part on, we started home and never had a moments problem. We would definately use him again. (Here’s hoping we won’t have to! Lol) We would recommend them to anyone!!! A+++++

They picked up my car after it was totalled in an accident. Extremely friendly people. Considering how tough the situation was Dave was very kind, friendly, and understanding.

These guys are the BEST!! They saved our vacation. First day, I hit a giant pot hole. Bent my A Arm so bad I couldn't drive it. Stuck in the middle of no where not knowing anyone. They came, towed us, gave us a ride to cabin, fixed the car in 24 hours and delivered the car back to us...I was worried I would be able to pay the bill....they did all this for $300. I can't thank them enough!!!

My MIL lost all the oil in her car while headed up the mountain in Canaan Valley. A neighbor passing by called Dave's for us and a truck qas up the mountain and had us loaded within 20min. By the time we woke up and called them the next morning the repairs were complete and we were ready to go. Cannot thank them enough! Being in the industry myself, i can say with certainty Dave's is above average in customer service, actual service and their prices cant be beat!

We had an alternator go out on the way to Canaan valley. Called Dave first thing Saturday morning. He had us on the road by 1:00. He even had to go to Elkins to get parts. Very fair pricing. Very pleased

Great service. I suffered a flat tire but I couldn't lower the spare from under my truck. I used my AAA app and a service tech from Dave's was at my house in 30 minutes. The tech located a nail in the tire, removed it, and patched the hole, all in under 10 minutes. Thank you Dave's!

We had issues with both car batteries in our vehicles on vacation. Dave went above and beyond to help and get both batteries replaced. Great people with professional and friendly service. Highly recommended.

We had a flat tire while staying at the family cabin. I took the tire to Dave's. They plugged and patched the hole quickly despite having a lot full of cars.

This place is a joke! I took my car there a few times but never again, I took my car there this time for a couple of problems and when I called them they said they didn't get the parts in or it would be fixed the first thing the next day this went on for about a week until I had it towed to another shop where they fixed it in a few hours. So if you take your car there and you feel like you are getting the run around after a few days please do yourself a favor and have it taken to another shop. they don't even have a computer to diagnose the problems with your car so what they do is fix what they" think" the problems is and charge you and if your car is still having the problem they will charge you more to take another guess at it again this will go on and on again until they stumble onto the problem or you just give up and take it to another place. Someone told me that they took 3 months to work on a car because they had to find parts for it just to be told that all the new parts they needed was actually inside of the car itself! Also when I was there there was some woman who kept going back and forth down the road yelling things out of the window I asked someone inside who was that and they said it was Dave's ex-wife lol I guess she was another satisfied customer at Dave's! For some of the "Happy Customers" on here check out Dave's family tree you will find some of these names on that very same tree! This place is just sad! For your sake and your car's sake please just go some place else!

My son's car broke down while we were in WVA on vacation. They came within a half hour of us calling them and towed it back to their garage. We had trouble finding the correct fuel pump for the car but ended up finding one in Roanoke, VA. We had it shipped overnight to where we were and Dave installed it that day. He is very knowledgeable and has very reasonable rates. Thank you!!

My husband and I got into an accident on our honeymoon. My car was partially destroyed. They towed it to their shop and fixed it well enough to get us home in less than 36 hours. They didn't charge an arm and a leg either. Eternally grateful ?

They Have worked on my vehicles many times. They try to accommodate everyone. Great work, very, very reasonable prices . they can be very busy at times but that's for a reason ! allot of people go there. That shows you a sign that they are a good garage. I am very pleased with them,,,, I am thankful that they are honest, genuine, HARD WORKING, Great people !
