I had a troubling experience at Advance Auto Parts in Mason, WV (29 Mallard Ln). I waited in line for 20 minutes for a simple product i had in my hand, even the customer ahead of me left after 20 minutes. During that time, an employee was told to go to the back and stock shelves, by the woman managing the front, who spent most of her time flirting with a male customer instead of helping those waiting. This display of favoritism and poor prioritization left me frustrated and devalued. Customer service should be the priority—even basic professionalism was missing that evening.
A huge shout out to Sean and Cheyenne at the Advance Auto in Mason West Virginia.
Unfortunately, we broke down on our way home from Florida. We got to the store just before they closed. Sean helped us with a list of parts that we needed and lent us some shop tools. We were running out of time before the store was closing. He waited to see if we could get it fixed before leaving for the night. He waited with us until 11:30! He sat and waited two and a half hours for us. Gave up on his own time to try to help us get back on the road. We were unable to fix it and needed another part. Sunday morning Cheyenne came in and was able to get us the part we needed and checked on us regularly to see if we needed anything else. We were able to get everything fixed and get back on the road and back home.
I can’t say how amazing it was to encounter two very selfless people in a time of need. We were 8 hours from home with a car full of kids on a weekend. Sean and Cheyenne were kind and generous people. In a crazy world that we live in we are so thankful to cross their path. Advance Auto should be very proud of them. They are great representation for your company.
We will forever be grateful for the kindness you showed us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Awesome people and great help!!! Try to exchange a part that was defective at Athens advanced. They accused me of being a liar and trying to get free parts because there was no way I bought that part from them. Went to Mason they said this is absolutely our part and it is defective we will replace it.
Train these employees to have phone etiquette! I was treated very rudely!
There is lots of competition out there and this is one problem no retail establishment needs!
It also is a dire t reflection on management..
I buy parts online to save cash. Whenever I have a question about a part i call them and they help me with any questions or concerns i have about it before i buy them online. Another good thing about them even though I get the parts online if i don't need it or it's not the right one i can just return it to the store and they refund the money back on my card.
Just went looking for a simple 12 volt auxiliary plug. I couldn't find it, but the employees were too busy standing around arguing politics from Ohio. On my way out another employee asked if I found what I was looking for, I replied yes and was forced to go to Walmart to get what I need.
Autozone didn't have the part that I needed, so I stopped here. Unfortunately, the computer system crashed as soon as I walked through the door, so I couldn't check out. Waited about 10 or 15 minutes before I could leave. Still satisfied with my experience, though.
I love going to Advanced Auto in Mason, West Virginia. I judge an auto parts store on how they treat me, being a female, I have had some places treat me like an uninformed woman. At the store in Mason the treat me with respect and actually listen to me. It makes these trips to get parts for my Tahoe bearable.
