Service Manager here at Parker Buick GMC, in Morehead City NC. Both Donna and Amanda (shoutout to the tech as well, whom I don't know the name of) helped a customer of ours in that neck of the woods (almost 500 miles away), to get their truck sorted after a fuel gelling issue. Wanted to leave a line here and for all those who see it. Nice to be able to reach out across state lines and have professional, helpful staff to reach a common goal. We were out of town up at Snowshoe. Had issues getting my 2024 Gmc sierra to run. Found out it was so cold the diesel fuel had gelled up. In calling my dealership back home, they suggested that I find a nearby gm dealer for my gm roadside assistance. It turned out Mitchell Chevrolet was the closest. I called them to ask about picking my truck up and putting it in their garage to warm up, they were extremely helpful and the price they quoted was about 1/3th of what other businesses had quoted. They right away sent someone out with a rollback. While waiting, I went out and started my truck, it seemed to run fine ,I'm guessing the additive I put in earlier had worked. I called Mitchell Chevrolet, talked to Amanda and understanding that she had sent the truck already, I met him shortly after leaving Snowshoe. I stopped by the dealership to pay them something for their efforts and to my surprise they said I owed them nothing and they were happy my truck was running good again. They also instructed me on what to do to prevent this in the future. I'm not sending in this review because they didn't charge anything (which I think they should have). I writing this because of their quickly answering the phone, promptness and honesty in helping me with my truck. It is as if they put themselves in my shoes. I highly recommend them, for this one act of kindness from them goes a long way in my book. I shared my experience with my dealership in Mt airy Nc and Terri one of the service advisors suggested I write a review to share this with others. For she was impressed as well.

Vacationing from out of state when GMC 4WD service indicator light came on. Stopped by Mitchell Chevrolet. Front desk staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Had us back on the road in a couple of hours. Great place, great service! Thank you!

Just had an oil change and tire rotation on our '21 Colorado. The service included a quick inspection of the major systems, lube all hinges and the windshield washer fluid was even topped off. All of that for a very reasonable price. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and knowledgeable. I am extremely happy with my experience at Mitchell Chevrolet.

Great people to help you with your cars and trucks. I’ve never owned a brand new car but they were able to get me in own and I love it. Shout out to Jane!! 3 years later and I still only buy my cars through Mitchell’s. I just got a brand new 2022 Midnight Edition Trax awd and I can’t say thank you enough for the staff that helped me. Jane is great! So is the finance department. 10/10 for customer service and support.

I was traveling from Nashville TN to Snowshoe WV about 2 hours from Snowshoe my truck went into power reduction mode. I called Mitchell's and they said to stop by. Luckily I got there before they closed. The service department was amazing, they dropped what they were doing and worked to get my back on the road asap! Super friendly and they fixed my truck and no problems since. Thank you!

Sam, Joe, and the entire staff at Mitchell’s are professionals. You will not find customer service at another dealership like you will at Mitchell’s. Not only are they an outstanding car dealer ship they also rent well maintained small equipment for most any needs. They go way above and beyond in the community addressing things that no one else will….example being: Sam was out sweeping the streets of Marlinton clearing heavy gravel and cinders from winter time build up off the streets with there machine/fuel/time. We are lucky to have a business like Mitchell’s in Marlinton WV.

I HIGHLY recommend Mitchell Chevrolet. My alternator died 40 miles outside of Marlinton. I pulled into Mitchell Chevrolet late on a Saturday afternoon when the shop was shutting down. I had another 45 miles to go to our lodging in Millsboro, VA and the owner, Sam, confirmed my car wasn't charging and likely would not make it back to Millsboro. The part was not in stock and could have taken days to get. Sam hooked me up to the charger to get the battery back to the level so I could get back to out lodging. He also gave me a battery pack for the trip back in case the battery died. And, he wouldn't take anything for his services. He just wanted to see me get back safely. Sam is a genuine decent guy who I would trust servicing my vehicle and to not take advantage of a customer. All which he could have done to me easily given my situation. He even gave me a tip on what to check when I got back and it worked. I was able to get back home in SE VA without an expensive tow or repair bill. Thank you Sam!

I bought my first vehicle that I ever owned from them and they gave me top dollar for my trade. They also worked with me to find the best rebates and interest rate that I could possibly get. My sister got her first car there too and I was with her in the appointment. The computer system was “taking long than it should have” so they ended up giving her $100 cash to go out to eat afterwards for her trouble. Jane Hunter is who we always have worked with and she’s AMAZING. They do so much great things for the community as well.

This company is a value to the community, I know from personal experience they’d rather lose money than have a unsatisfied customer, everyone customer and employees are considered extensions of there family. If you read 98 percent of reviews reiterate what I’m saying, family owned franchises are dying off and I’m glad to see they work so hard to keep this one alive. I would buy a car here for my daughter and trust that it would be the safest on the road means a lot to me.

Knowing the family of this company i know their customer service is top notch! As a current active duty member of the armed services Sam and Joe have treated me with the highest respect and appreciation. A family company that has dedicated their lives to serving the community in more ways than just selling and servicing vehicles! The impact Mitchell Chevrolet has had on the community they serve is more than most people would realize. In a town that has been devasted by floods and economically distressed for decades, they have rebuilt and continued to provide employment and excellent service when many would have just closed the doors. Our community is certainly better off because of the existence of this business for over 50 years!

Mitchell’s Chevrolet has supported me since I was 16 years old. From my first job, to today. Although I have never purchased a vehicle from them, they’re always ready to give me advice or input when I have any issues. When I make it back to Marlinton, Sam Mitchell makes sure I have a rental car to get around in. I have been serving in the US military for nine years, and have three deployments. There has not been a year I haven’t felt the support of the Mitchell’s from messages to care packages. Mitchell Chevrolet feels like family, because they run their business with the morale code to treat everyone like family.

When my trucks brake system acted up on our mountain vacation, Donna, DJ and the service techs at Mitchell literally saved my ski vacation. They went far beyond the call of duty to help a total stranger, best car repair experience...ever, I mean it. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

October 2019, I was driving a Church Van from North Carolina through Marlinton. It was early in the day and the tire light came on indicating the tire pressure wasn't right. I saw Mitchell Chevrolet and pulled in to ask for help. The gentleman who came to our aid was an Angel sent by GOD. He took care of the tire issue at no charge and sent us on our way relieved that all was well. If I am not mistaken I believe the man was the owner. I still remember his help and provision. I pray for him often because GOD brings him to my mind as I go about my day. I look forward to stopping by again this October. Just to say thank you.

Joe Mitchell and Mitchell Cheverolet are fantastic! My wife and I travel fulltime in an RV. While traveling through the area, we encountered a long steep grade, our Chevy dually decided to take a break in the middle of the road... Fortunately we were able to let it cool down and found Mitchell Chevrolet was 30 miles from our location. This happened late on Sunday afternoon, so we headed over to Marlinton and spent the night parked near the dealership. First thing Monday morning we pulled into Mitchell Chevrolet and were met by Joe Mitchell, the owner. He couldn't have been nicer nor more accommodating. Although a bit shorthanded due to a few of his folks taking summer vacation, Joe personally ran a diagnostic on the dually, but found everything seemed to be functioning properly. To be certain that we would be safe going forward, Joe insisted on taking, first the truck solo and then hitched to the 5th wheel, for a road test on a long 8% grade local road. Again, everything checked out fine which put our minds at ease. Meanwhile, back at the dealership, my wife struct up a conversation with a fellow named Brian. After some conversation, Brian mentioned that he works at Mitchell Chevrolet in the sales department. He was very helpful in describing the best way to travel in the surrounding hills and grades to our intended destination of Caanan Valley Resort. I too spoke with Brian, mainly about our truck as well as inquiring about what changes were coming on the 2020 Chevy 3500 HD as we are interested in upgrading from our 2015. Brian proved be be both extremely knowledgeable but unlike ANY car salesman I have ever encountered before, didn't try to sell us anything... Based on our experience today, if our travels bring us back to the area around the time we replace our truck, I would go way out of our way to purchase it from Brian and Joe Mitchell of Mitchell Chevrolet. They are that good. For the record, I rarely write a review, but felt compelled to shed a positive light on the great experience we encountered with this dealership.

Was traveling through Marlinton to visit family and had a low air alert on a tire. I stopped in to the dealership and they fixed it right away. No wait at all and the staff were awesome. Thanks Mitchell Chevrolet for the great customer service.

This service department went above and beyond for me. I had some ice form in my coolant lines of my diesel truck and they took me right in and used heaters to help me free to coolant lines. Made driving back to South Carolina doable since I didn’t have heat and it was -2 degrees.

Have only bought one car from them and it isn’t running to good. I found other places have same car even newer ones for less. Will never purchase a used car again from here, and most like never buy a new one either. Everyone I talk to that bought a vehicle there told me they paid way more there then all other places. But they never checked around first, or a few people had to by there cause they do their own financing and let people finance a car that can’t finance one anywhere else. Just check around 1st!

Within two hours of my car breaking down I had a rental car and my car was on its way to the shop. Donna was great in answering my questions and keeping me informed on what was going on with my car. We, my wife and I, were amazed at the fast, friendly, competent service. When we arrived, we were met in the parking area immediately by a member of the service dept. It was the best service that I have ever received at any dealership, and I have been a GM customer since I bought my first Pontiac in 1968 as I graduated from college (47 years). They kept me informed of my choices, the time frame of the work being done, and I was having two GMC cars worked on. The dealership is attractive, automated and everyone is friendly. One of my cars involved a recall, and it was quickly taken care of at this Chevrolet dealer. Since my local GMC dealer closed, I have tried three GM dealers, and this one is hands down the best. I was happy with the former GMC dealer, so I am glad to find one in my county that is so organized and professional. My wife shares my opinion. Bruce McKean
