My car already has enough beauty marks, but Cool Green Auto and Tire Inc services managed to add more and didn’t even mention it. Communication and accountability matter, and this was really disappointing. Also makes the “discount for a good review” feel questionable.

Let's start with the fact that it cost me over 200 dollars for a brake fluid replacement. Now I am spending almost 1000 dollars on new everything involving breaks. A CALIPER has seized. All the pads are wearing unevenly and the discs are now warped because of it. I love having my car broken by Cool Green Auto.

I took my 10-year-old car to Cool Green to check on items I was concerned about tires, battery, brakes, etc. They took the time to check everything over, brought me in and showed me any concerns. I was extremely impressed with their thoroughness, their knowledge and professionalism. They showed patience with my numerous questions. I would highly recommend a Cool Green to anyone.

This shop is not budget friendly at all. I took my car in for an alignment and they came back saying it needed a third brake light and a request for new tires. The tires i understood they were old but they quoted me some of the most expensive tires in the market with a warranty for a sixteen year old car. The third brake light was also fine I was going to change it myself however when I checked it all the leds were lighting up and it was good. I wouldn't recommend them for working on any older car.

Literally dropped in for an oil change. Everyone was super nice. They squeezed me in. When i got home, i shut my car off and the engine fan continued to run. Which it has never done before. I called over to the shop and spoke with the first guy, super nice, said if I continue to have problems to call back. Then Cory calls me back and immediately starts covering himself, saying that The fan was on when I pulled in to the shop “so the car was like that when i got there”. I was never accusing them of anything in the first place, just calling for advice because when I googled it, it said that thermostat issues can be triggered by recent oil changes. I told him, no it definitely wasn’t because I would have noticed, nothing like this has happened before & he continued to argue back saying “he doesn’t scam people or lie blah blah”. Which again I wasn’t accusing him of, to that point I just said I’m not going to argue with you, and he finished with “oh i’m not arguing because i know i’m not wrong.”. I hung up. Can we say guilty conscious ?

Had an emergency issue with my sunroof. Their mechanic Al, was extremely competent and professional. He resolved the in a timely and cost effective manner.. A big thanks to Al and all of the staff at Cool Green Auto and Tire Inc. They also gave me a 30% discount for being a veteran. Recently widowed and no idea what to do. I was told by a dealership that I needed front brakes and possibly back brakes. My son told me about Cool Green Auto. From the moment they picked up the phone, they were pleasant and professional. After their inspection, I didn't need brakes at all. It's so easy to be taken advantage of for car repair. I’ve been going to Cool Green over the years. They’ve helped me so much and get every detail to resolve whatever issue it is you have. I recently went in for brake service and gave them the details on what was happening and they fixed it with ease. The time they quoted me to have it complete was way beneath the time that they said. I walked around town for about two hours and came back to it being done. Amazing job! I refer anyone that needs work done to come to them!

Everyone at the shop is engaging & personable. After patiently listening to the "it sounds like" description of the problem at hand, I was assured it would be resolved, and it was; fast, efficiently and economicly. As a survivor of dealership twists and lies, I found Cool Green to be concerned for the customer with fair prices. Cool Green is that mechanic every family needs in their Rolodex under "indespendable".

Growing up in a family of mechanics, I know the ins and outs of how shops usually work. Cool green was a pleasant surprise! Corey was the mechanic I worked with, and he was amazing! He had actual empathy and listened to everything I had to say! And when I thought a major repair was needed, he was honest about what he could do for me and saved me a bunch over other local shops! Everyone there is amazing though, and it’s always a great experience. They even offer loaner vehicle if they have one available and lines of credit through another program, which can be a huge help and relief when unexpected repairs come up! They now have a customer for as long as I’m in the area. Thanks so much for the team at cool green, you guys truly are amazing!!!

I have been a loyal customer for 4 years. I have brought all 4 of my vehicles here for inspection, oil changes, and other repairs. Until yesterday. I made an appointment for a state inspection for my vehicle. I show up to my appointment 15 minutes early and they didn't take my car back until 35 minutes after my appointment time. The technician comes to tell me that unfortunately my car did not pass state inspection and would require at least $4,000 plus in repairs. He tells me that he took my car for a test drive. Why would he take my car for a test drive for a state inspection? The tech indicates that when he took my car for a test drive, my air bag light appeared on the dash- which is an alert that never appeared before. He also indicated other repairs- which I did not dispute. However, the air bag light that never appeared until he test drove my vehicle for a state inspection would cost $3,000 to repair. They slapped the big old rejection sticker on my vehicle, charged me $250 and told me to have a nice Friday! I woke up this morning and found another state inspector and not only did my vehicle PASS state inspection- I still do not have an airbag light or need any other work that was indicated. I will NEVER go back to this place again in my life. I do not want to drive an unsafe vehicle, but I also don't appreciate a state inspector going out of their way to fabricate an air bag sensor issue to fail my inspection and then try charging me $3,000 to fix it plus an additional $250 for labor to diagnose. They spent HOURS trying to diagnose an air bag sensor light that was not even appearing on my dash. They literally went out of their way to make up an issue with my vehicle. Then when I told them that I can't pay $4,000 right now to fix it they recommended that I "just get rid of the car"!!!!

Cool Green did a fantastic job on our older car that needed a lot of work!!! They were thorough, and they explained everything well. They were honest in their dealings which counts for a lot! Will be using Cool Green for future car care.

I refuse to take my blazer anywhere but to Cool Green. They have treated me with the utmost respect as an individual vs any other place I’ve ever gone to. From one day dropping me off at home to then sending me an uber to pick me up to get the car, this place is where customer service does not lack. From being able to finance car repairs in a jiffy to now having rentals for their customers, why would you want to go anywhere else. Corey, is amazing, very patient, kind and dos not try and screw you over. He will explain things rather than talk down to you as if you don’t understand what he is talking about. Brandy, the receptionist, she is a sweetheart and she invests into conversation when not on the phone with a customer. I’m thankful for this place for more reasons than above. This place is amazing! They were super kind and wonderful customer service. They fit me in last minute and just went above and beyond. Added on a tire rotation for me and still got me out super quick since I was on a tight schedule!! Thank you guys! You're awesome!! ? I'll tell as many people as I can about you!

Cool Green staff and mechanics were kind, communicative, and efficient. They got my car back on the road quickly and saved me money and time by fabricating a fuel line because a new line was a two day wait. Very satisfied.

Yesterday, I dropped my truck off to figure out what the banging sound was. Within a few short hours I got a call with a suspension problem. I expected a massive bill and a few days without my truck. Not only was it so much less expensive then I thought, I got my truck back the same day, and every single person I spoke to was absolutely amazing. Thank you Jonah, and everyone at Cool Green!

We're brand new to Shepherdstown and went straight from the DMV to Cool Green Auto. I had a strange request, because my registration had fallen into an empty space right behind my glove box when I put it there for safekeeping. So much for safekeeping. We all got a good laugh, as I'm no doubt the only client who asked them to find my registration. They found it and completed the state inspection quickly and efficiently. Kudos to Cool Green!

As a mom with 5 boys I value my car so when it went down I was stressed out and worried bc of previous experience. Well I called Cool Green Auto about it and they were so accommodating when I needed to move my appointment they called to find out any concerns I had about the car and they called me before they did any work. They worked with me every step of the way.

Excellent customer service. All the help goes out of their way to accommodate you. The installation of a new windshield was done quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend this company.

Just had my transmission fluid changed with a top tier experience. I had planned this a week out for a drop off in the am. They were there ready to go and offered me a ride home or in town. I declined but they were very courteous and extremely helpful. I will continue going to Cool Green Auto with the great service and price. THANK YOU!

Cool Green Auto came highly recommended by a friend. I stopped in for an oil change and tire rotation. I was immediately impressed with the staff. I didn’t have an appointment, but they graciously worked me in with the time frame I had. They told me it would take about 2 hours to get it in and get the work done. I got a call in a little over an hour telling me my truck was done. When I got back to the shop my truck was parked outside and ready to go. When I saw the bill I couldn’t believe it! Great work, reasonable pricing, friendly staff… what more can you ask for?!

I can't say how pleased I'm with the service I received on my old BMW. They did an amazing job doing the repairs that were needed to keep her on the road. Highly recommend Cool Green for your repair needs.

Update - I was so impressed by the call I had with the manager that I decided to update my rating. With her leading the ship, I'd give this place another go. Thanks for taking the time to provide excellent customer service. These guys get five stars for convenience, five stars for the ladies at the front desk who are the sweetest, but low ratings for everything else. Last year my husband had a few issues with bearings on his truck , we had to go back multiple times and it was always a new problem.... Seemed a bit suspicious at the time but it eventually was resolved so I didn't think much about it. Last week made an appointment for a state inspection - arrived at my appt time, it took almost two hours which they did apologize for - on the way out the door was handed a pamphlet of recommended services mostly recommended, one necessary being a new oil filter, totalling over $500. Shortly after leaving my check engine light comes on - I finally have a chance to call back and ask them if it's possible it had something to do with the inspection to which the man said they don't really mess with anything like that for an inspection but they can check, so he got me in the next morning (which was nice). Fortunately, my husband got back from a work trip that same night and pulled the computer, checked the code, and found it was an electrical short.... Popped the hood and turns out, they left the intake air sensor unplugged. We plugged it back in and the code disappeared. I called them shortly after my appointment time to let them know and they didn't offer an apology - I think they thought telling me they would cancel the appointment and forward to the owner would suffice, but honestly, it just didn't feel apologetic. This was a really small issue in the realm of things but coupled with our experience from last year, it has left me with zero faith for any services from this place, especially when I'm left feeling crazy for thinking my engine light had something to do with an inspection (when it did all along). They're too focused on the upsell to take care of the basics, and being a small business owner myself that depends on her vehicle, I don't have time for rookie mistakes like this.
