I live in Fairmont but this is still my go to store for auto parts. The team here makes it worth driving a few extra miles to get what I need the first time.
I drive a 2019 Subaru Legacy. After an oil change at the dealership the day before, the oil light came on the first time I had my car out. I was close by Advance Auto in Shinnston, WV and went to see if they could provide assistance. The gentlemen working were amazing! They checked my oil, told me how much and what kind I needed and then put it in the car for me. I'm a 70 year old woman. They were all so kind and polite. Henry helped me first and, when it was his quitting time, he asked Charlie to take over. They both provided exceptional service! They told me that I should take pictures of the dipstick to show dealership. Suggested that I get my car back to dealership asap. Without a doubt, they went above and beyond what one would expect. Thank you again, Henry and Charlie!
All I wanted was a headlight bulb. So I show up 15 mins before they closed, I know but I just blew it out and wanted to replace it, but all the lights were out, closed up shop.
Advance auto is my local go to part store with very helpful and friendly staff and if they don't have what u need in stock most of the time they can have it for you same day and there rewards program is great an can provide you with very helpful discounts both in store and online.
Nice store. Helpful employees. But prices about %400 Mark up. Prices 6 spark plugs and 6 coil packs. Was going to be $410. Got exact same thing from rock auto for $78, including shipping
I am by no means a car guy and usually need a lot of help finding or figuring out what it is I need. They always help me find what it is I need and are very understanding. They do install windshield wipers and batteries but will not change head lights or tail lights, but did tell me how to. I can usually be in and out relatively quickly. The store is kept clean and usually has everything you need in stock.
I spent 200.00 o a new battery Die Hard. For 2017 Toyota Tacoma.300.00 for front brakes (not calipers). But they did have what I needed. So that deserves a good review and salesman very friendly and helpful.
Very rude store manager had purchased a part with valid receipt and was sold in the box a used part after waiting 5 days for the part couldn't wait any longer had to get from Napa which had it that day. With a valid receipt he would not return item or make it right had to call corporate and corporate made it right with me but this store manager in shinnston is a joke.
Such a wonderful store! Always clean, always organized, never have a problem finding exactly what I went in for. The staff is AMAZING! Couldn't ask for better service. No matter how silly the question, they always have an answer! 10 stars if I could! 😊💞
Sold and installed wiper blade that was bent. After a week finally got a manager to help and ended up having to put a different brand wiper blade because a second wiper of the same brand did the same thing. So two different blades will have to do. Thanks to the store manager, he was the only one able to help.
There employees were very rude and they kept my battery that I left there overnight for them to charge. They said it was no good and got thrown out without asking me first what I wanted to do with it
Corey and his team are always good to me. If you realize what your getting into when youre buying generic auto parts from any chain retailer, some of the parts are are hit or miss depending on what you're working on. But, if I've ever had a fitment issue or need help fixing some weird problem, these guys always make it right and help out. Denver and the grumpy old guy in the back in particular are always good for advice if your stuck on something as well.
There are guys here who truly help you with any part you need for your vehicle. A few from my experience here, Denver, a employee for advance went out of his way to help take my alternator off my car. Huge help, Corey was very helpful diagnosing my problem with my car and helping me order the right part for it. Gilbert was extremely helpful. All these employees deserve gratitude and better pay for what they do.
These people are always their to help. You might find some items at walmart cheaper but walmart doesn't give the customer service like this place does. This is my first choice for car parts.
Good parts and great warranties but be careful of some employees...you may end up being the problem customer that is the straw that breaks an employee and they quit right there while they drop your part on the floor because they are upset
Bought a battery for $150, came with "free installation" too. Almost an hour later, I ended up doing it myself. I swear the girl doing the install was high.
