I would not recommend these guys to anyone! Very poor customer service and they overcharged me! Using police call as an excuse to charge you arm and leg, PLEASE TRY WITH SOMEONE ELSE IN THE AREA !!!!!!
Charged $3000 for a simple winchout on ice.... this is unreal, avoid these guys at any cost. They told me it was a police call, when in fact I spoke with the lady and also dispatched them. Don't trust them, in the end even if it's a police call, why you have to charge $3000 honest people?
I would not recommend these guys to anyone! Very poor customer service and overcharged me! My fiance got into a wreck with our car and they wouldn’t tow it to our house so we had to wait overnight to go get her. When we showed up at the shop the guy asked what I was doing with my pile of junk and then as we loaded her onto our car trailer he kept revving his motorcycle nonstop to the point we had a hard time communicating with each other to get her loaded on. And not only that but my tow paperwork says they charged me for two tows and the whole bill came to $383 and it only got towed to the yard from enterprise and sat overnight I think we definitely got overcharged somehow. I was very disappointed in how we were spoken to and how we were treated by the staff.
This team has helped me 2 times now with getting me into my vehicle ; do to me forgetting my keys in it when shutting my door. Now I am about to call upon them for a 3rd time to rescue my truck to Harry Green Chevy with a no start issue thank you hillbilly trucking, and God bless.
This company is American born and bred! The owner is still living and working and he built this company from the ground up. This isn't a fake review I'm a black owner operator from New Orleans The owner and the men and women that work for him are very kind and courteous. Fixed my issue without price gouging me and I was on my way. The mechanics are locals and very knowledgeable. I'm a military ? veteran and stand by my honor and so does this company. Please don't hesitate to give these guy's a call if you need help for all your mechanical trucking needs. P.S.He has one of the baddest Harleys I've ever seen in my life!!! Keep Trucking brothers
Absolutely 10/10 their employees go above and beyond. There was an employee who wasn't even a driver and heard my fiance and son were in the car after a tire blew on the highway and he rushed to their rescue while I was testing for a new job. Little did that man know my fiancé's mom died the day before and we were going home two hours away. I'll never forget this company and always recomend them. Amazing company with great morals.
We called this morning because we couldn’t find our car keys and someone was at our house to help with ten minutes. The woman I talked to on the phone was extremely kind and the man who showed up was as well. Thank you again for the hospitality and quick service!
Hillbilly’s saved the day! We had a wheel bearing go out on the way from Kentucky to Delaware for my father in laws funeral. After waiting for two hours for a no show and all the others I called couldn’t help, they assured me they were on the way. She gave me the drivers phone number, the number to the car rental and the dealer in town. I broke down crying because I was so relieved by her reassurance that they weren’t gonna leave us stranded too. The driver Charles was fantastic and a great representative of the company. Thank you!!!
This is a fraudulent towing company. They didn’t even ID me to pick up my vehicle & lied multiple times to my face. Absolutely anyone could’ve picked up my car for $165… Do Not use them for anything!!
When my classic car wouldn’t start I was very nervous about calling a tow truck to my rescue. Hillbilly towing took extra care and made sure I was comfortable with everything they did to ensure I was satisfied about what they were doing to ensure my vehicle not getting damaged. Allen Thompson was efficient and showed true pride in his trade. I fully recommend! Personally, I will not call anyone else in the future if I ever need another tow.
This is the worst towing place around my mothers car got towed and she had Christmas presents in the back seat, when she got her car all her things were gone through and CHRISTMAS presents were missing, she called and told them and they told her that’s on her . Didn't use their service but I have a story.
When all hope was lost we called them, our truck had been stuck for almost a week. High centered, deep in the mud, on a slope in the middle of the woods.
We called every towing company around but no one would answer the phone or call back or even discuss the possibility. The ones that "helped" would just recommend someone else because the area to our truck was too far or they just didn't want to deal with it. (I guess the people they help only get stuck on the perfectly paved roads right by their shop ?) Not being from this area that was extremely frustrating, it's not like we wouldn't pay for the service and miles, we just needed help.
We as surveyors work in all conditions and have to take these roads at times. We learned our lesson about driving in the mud though because no matter what we did, it seemed to only get worse. We called them on day 6 before our final attempt to get it out ourselves just in case we still couldn't, because like I said we had lost hope. We spoke to one of the towers who heard our situation and told us the different ideas he had to get us out. That's all it took. We believe that's what made it all happen that night, once we knew someone saw it possible and was actually willing to come out to the middle of nowhere to help, we regained confidence in ourselves during our final attempt to get unstuck and we finally did!
We are still extremely grateful to Hillbilly Towing, they didn't have to do anything physically but they showed they care and genuinely want to help even in the worst situations. We hope we don't have another instance like that again but if we do, we know who we are calling first. We will 100% always recommend to anyone in trouble.
Alan went above and beyond in helping me out, giving me, my partner, and my dog a ride to a nearby hotel. As bad as having a breakdown on the side of the highway close to midnight is, I couldn't have asked for a better tow experience
Personal vehicle broke down two different occasions. Wait time was less than 15 minutes each time. Cost was by far cheaper than competition. Driver Brian L. was friendly, patient & helpful! Big thanks to him & Hillbilly Towing for lessening my panic!
I had driven over something, and my car was severely stuck in a curb/wall (difficult to see) in the middle of a parking lot. I spent three hours with AAA and had no luck getting help. The AAA representative finally told me to find help and said they would reimburse me. Since many other people had driven over what I had, it was easy to get a recommendation from someone--Hillbilly Towing. He was there in ten minutes and got me out in another ten minutes with no damage to my car. The cost was so reasonable that if AAA doesn’t reimburse me, I can live with it. Hillbilly Towing is a great, reliable company that I highly recommend.
Wish I would of found out if that guy was single lol, that waited on me there in Clarksburg. I said my mother in law was paying my towing bill but really my ex husband died I October, so I should of worded that different. Well... I was pleased with the help and kindness, was a bit pricey.
I haven't been in many situations where I've needed a tow, especially outside of my home state. But when the transmission blew on the highway at 3am I'm sure glad I called Hillbilly. They sent someone out almost immediately to get my truck and drive my family and I to a hotel. Then the following day towed it back to their shop to store it for me until I could make arrangements to have it repaired and when I made my arrangements they towed it again to the transmission shop that was doin the work. Every person I interacted with during a stressful couple days was so nice, helpful and professional and really made a unfortunate situation much easier for me. If I ever need a tow or know someone who does in the Clarksburg or Fairmont area I will definitely 100% recommended hillbilly and their amazing team!
The two guys who came out last night in the horrible weather to tow me out of the ditch were AMAZING!!! They even went slow enough in front of me to make sure I made it off the interstate. And when they couldn't see me because they got to the exit faster than I did, they called me to make sure I was doing ok. They were the best! I appreciate them more than they know!
David was my tow truck guy, he was very very nice. Very helpful he came in matter of not even 10 mins when they c allied David to come tow my car after o was involved in an accident. When I went to clean my car out today he was also very helpful towards me and my family. He helped me in any way possible! I couldn’t thank him enough
Owner seemed nice and ready to help. driver said no problem be in a little bit. Never answered again, never called back, never showed. I wont be calling again

Steer tire on the way to a show. The nicest man came to help us and get us back on the road.( It was almost 1 a.m.) We are so greatful.
Our car battery died at a gas station they were at, we asked if we could get a tow since they were already there. They said they couldn't do anything because it was a hybrid so we requested a tow, they said they could, and then they just drove off and left us there. I don't know why they are called a towing service if this is the service they provide.
They did a ok job. They couldn't fallow sample directions so had to meet them ext day and take them to it.. and if it a little tight where u need to put it at you may have to push it we had to.. they did pick up or called you back in good timing and they do go out pretty far out for your car. Some wouldn't do that for me.
