Its gone downhill some, still a big market though. Problem I have (and this is really with flea markets in general) is that, people, its a flea market! Way too many vendors wanting premium prices for crap that is found new in stores for the same price (or even lower!) or crap that is poor condition. The idea is to get rid of your junk... There are a few good vendors there who still get the idea of what a flea market is....
They do what they can with booth rent as high as it is compared to cheaper booths in Ohio and ac/heat for the same price in ky. The five stars are for the vendors who keep trying to make it happen.
Years ago it was nice to go to now there's not enough vendors set up. We didn't really see anything we even wanted to look at. We did get a snow cone, they were really good and they give you a lot of juice. I think you have to have cash for them and they were $3.00 for a small I think.
We went on a Saturday and there was hardly anyone set up. Most of the vendors have left. They could condense all the booths to probably one building now
This place used to be awesome but upon visiting on Memorial Day weekend of 2025, over half of the indoor facilities were empty and the vast majority of outdoor setups were empty. And we all know that a flea market without vendors is effectively a parking lot. Sucks to see how empty things have become. Hopefully the place sees more vendors coming back to it in the near future.
The Halfway Market has a section in the flea market & is located at the top if the hill as you arrive here at the top if the hill going towards the flea market. One of the vest palaces to do some shopping for fresh veggies & fruits along with the Amish wood work. I location but the location at the top has a bigger selection to chose from. They also accept major credit cards at both which is great for me as I don't carry cash all the time,???. Thank you for a huge variety and various finds in the flea market!
One of the places I enjoyed going as a kid. See all the stuff people hide at home is for sale there. Moved away for 18 years and no one heard of little ol Milton wv, and the ones that did immediately said “oh where the big flea market is”. Yup.
Hopefully as we get further into season, more vendors will open up. They're just for a lot of booths either unattended or closed on the several weekends that I've been over the last month. Otherwise, great merchandise, and even better people.
Every time I come here its a new experience so much variety and the atmosphere is calming and fun. You may find that rare coin you want or a cute gift for the mrs. Ladies you can find something for the Mr as well. Nice little food court area just be mindful its small but you can eat on the move. Nothing but great memories here and more to come.
generally it's better on the weekends but we went on a friday most everything was closed but we had a few open places that were filled with kind people and we got to enjoy our selves for a little while walking around talking and looking. it's wasn't very crowded on friday like it generally is on the weekends but we still enjoyed ourselves
It’s always so nostalgic coming to the Milton flea market! I love stopping in and checking out the fossils. Picked up a new stiletto knife on my last trip here, as well as some old coal script. The man who sold them to me was great to talk to and knew his West Virginia history!
Flea Market building back. Not as many vendors as I had hoped. Not as organized as I hoped either...didn't really see any antique items to buy...mostly stuff nobody wants anymore...poor quality items in my opinion...plenty of free parking tho
It's advertised Fri, Sat & Sun, but there weren't even 1/4 of the vendors there on Friday. Found some good buys on snacks , but there was hardly anything else to see. Very disappointed. We were passing through Milton on our way to our destination, so we weren't able To go back Sat to check it out. Shouldn't advertise Friday as being open at all! Just my opinion.
Pleasantly surprised, typical flea market stuff, adequate parking. Lots of seasonal things, lots of variety inside: antiques to personalized stuff, something for everyone. Decent amount of different booths also. Outdoors spots available also
The place has a ton of potential but opening on a Friday seems to be a horrible idea. The place was practically empty both inside with vendors and outside with customers. It's not the fault of the market owners necessarily regarding who does or doesn't come in but being open on a day when nobody else is coming in just seems like not a great business idea. If they can get vendors in on Fridays then the place can grow more, but it's probably a better idea to just be open on Saturday and Sunday.
