We were traveling when a brake failure warning light appeared unexpectedly. Despite being very busy, Tina/team accommodated us on the same day for a quick diagnosis. During the inspection, the owner also identified a tire issue that we had been trying to resolve for some time. Professional and attentive service throughout—highly recommend.
So I've been a customer for around 3 yrs now . Always have had great outcomes they have always found the problems at hand .. Was professional on warrant work no hassle . Just brought in a bucket list car and explained what I'm looking for Lead tech Yawn I believe is his name has been awesome willing to tackle projects normally a garage doesn't want to do. Been taking my car here for a year now and for some reason ended up getting screwed over, got my money back thank God but my car is still not running correctly.
Took my truck to a few different shops they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with. It ended up with some very costly diagnostic bills took it to the shop. They had it fixed and back on the road within a week hands-down an amazing shop would highly recommend.
Just moved to the area and ran into car issues. Turned out to be just the battery but the folks at Trans Tech were kind and quick! The price was extremely reasonable too. Highly recommend!
We have been going to Trans Tech for over five years now. We used to live near the shop but have since moved to Bellingham (over 25 miles away). We still bring our vehicles back to Trans Tech because of the professionalism and customer service. Jan the owner and head mechanic consistently explains the repair breakdown before and after the repair. Trans Tech doesn’t leave you guessing after you get the bill like some shops. Michele who works the front office has the schedule and parts ordering down to a science. We highly recommend Trans Tech if you’re in need of a trustworthy family owned auto mechanic.

I am MORE than pleased with trans tech automotive!!!! I was vacationing 4 hours away from home to visit family when my car unexpectedly broke down. They were very busy but knew I wasn’t a local and needed to get home to my kids. They squeezed me in and repaired my car in a day, and at such a reasonable price! They were quick, honest, polite, and didn’t try to sell me any unnecessary services. I made it home safe, so thank you trans tech!!!

I would give more stars if possible! I live in Everett and was going to Mt Baker for a ski trip when my car decided to misbehave when we were passing through the area. It was New Year’s Day and thought for sure I was not going to find anywhere open. I called around and Transtech auto was friendly, quickly fixed the spark plugs and coil! I am sooooo appreciative. Thanks again!

One of the better shops in whatcom county. Never had any issue with their workmanship. They’ve always been fairly priced and had a good turn around time.
They did an absolutely amazing job on my Dodge Ram 3500. Best prices around and got right to the job and even cleaned my transmission to where it looks brand new. Will definitely recommend this shop to anyone.
Probably the most knowledgeable technicians I've dealt with and I've been a racecar mechanic for 26 years. Solved my issues the other 3 places couldn't figure out. I only wish I'd been taking my vehicles here my whole life. Would have saved me LOTS of time and money. I likely won't be taking any of my vehicles elsewhere. I'm pretty impressed

I recently lost everything in a forest fire in Santa Cruz California. While helping my neighbors evacuate i ended up driving threw 1/4 mile dry burning forest. let’s just say I didn’t baby our family truck on that stretch and damaged was done. After driving way north to visit family Took it into les Schwab in Port Townsend and told the to do a full inspection of the under carriage. After pointing out the front end damage and missed the fact that the drive shaft bolts were backing out. They even test drove it..
Glad to have a master mechanic on the job.

Loren is a great mechanic, I took my truck in with a blown motor, he found me a replacement for a fair price and got the work completed ahead of his schedule. He also went above and beyond. The truck runs better than it ever has and I couldn't be happier with their work and prices.
I brought my F-150 in to have the clutch replaced. They knocked it out in less than 3 days. Extremely professional and courteous service. I will recommend them to everyone!! Oh yeah the price was good too!

Brought an 02 Mazda Protege there for a grindy manual transmission and got the clutch replaced. Brought it in on a Thursday morning and it was ready to pick up on the following Monday afternoon. Very quick turnaround. Very fair pricing since it was only $700 for a clutch replacement. Fast, cheap and good. Thank you Loren.

I take my vehicles to Trans Tech in Kendal because I know the job will be done right at the right price. Well worth the trip from Bellingham. You can find a WTA bus stop nearby if needing to leave your vehicle for the day.
We were visiting Mt. Baker from out of town, camping with a travel trailer, and experienced trouble with the truck while headed up the road to the Heliotrope trailhead. Loren and Trans Tech were recommended by the guys at the fire station in Glacier. Loren fit us in that afternoon, quickly diagnosed and repaired the truck and had us back on the road the same day. Couldn't ask for better service!
Loren is a transmission expert! He does everything from brake jobs, to cv axles, oil changes, & even rebuilding transmissions. He is by far the most knowledgeable mechanic I have ever met! He really knows what he is doing and does it for very affordable pricing. Best mechanic in Whatcom County, proven time & time again. I would highly recommend him for any vehicle repairs you need!
