I have been ordering from Autozone here in Stanwood for some time now and with an issue with my car to where I can't drive it, I paid for same day delivery and I did the same the previous day and parts came with no hiccup. I was called by the store and told I can pick it up whenever. When I told him I paid for same day delivery he told me they don't have that and wasn't exactly pleasant about it. I waited for him to talk to the store manager which then said its done by an outside service which I totally et but when I started to ask questions he got defensive and told me he has no control its not them its not their problem. Thankfully whatever delivery service showed up to pick them up for delivery showed up while I was on the phone. Just a terrible experience and not a nice individual to talk to or deal with. Instead of talking through it with me from the very beginning he was adamant on telling me I was wrong from the get go.
Went in with my grandpa and one of the older employees came up and gave me a tight side hug saying “oh hey i’ve seen you here before” i laughed it off assuming he was just being friendly. A moment later he says to me “next time come back without him” referring to my grandpa and i once again ignored it (i’m a 16 year old girl who looks 16). Then after finding the part we needed he proceeds to AGAIN say “Come back in without him” i responded this time saying no i’m 16, he didn’t take that for an answer and said it AGAIN adding “ it doesn’t matter im 63~ (i forgot how old he said) so i cant do much”. We left immediately after i said for the last time im 16, this needs to be dealt with it’s disgusting.
Twice they gave me the wrong part not even close I need a transmission filter for a 92 f150 4.9 2wheel drive first they gave me a tf129 which is for a 80s Japanese car then they gave me a tf128 that is for a toyota not a ford cant trust them to find the right part
Ken has helped me on multiple occasions. The team is great but I have mainly dealt with Ken and he always goes above and beyond and listens to my dumb stories. We need more Ken’s in this world. Thanks Ken!
UPDATE! 1/23/2026 My Mom's headlight went out on her 2020 Honda Civic. Of course, I took the car to Autozone Stanwood because they're always wanting to help. Jeffrey, a new team member, went above and beyond and took care of me. He even went so far as to replace it for me. I'm so very grateful for this group. I didn't even know to ask for an LED bulb. Cars are not my thing! THANK YOU, Jeffrey! You made a big difference for me today. Keep up the great Team work!
INITIAL REVIEW... I ADDED THE NEW ONE HERE TO KEEP IT SIMPLER FOR ME... My wiper blades on my Volvo, split and cracked. Both Ken and Mark, were SO very helpful. And of course, it was raining to boot. This is why I always choose to use Autozone Starwood. The prices are great. Their expertise of installation is always appreciated. The customer service is always above and beyond! I drive everyday thru Standwood and I always visit this specific Autozone because of the employees. Mike, Ken, Herb, and John are the greatest! They're all well experienced gentlemen who has years of mechanical work under their work. They are all knowledgeable too and willing to give you tips and resources for your vehicle. These guys are wonderful I highly encourage swinging by just to ask them about your vehicle and they will give you knowledge you probably didn't (or did) know about mechanics and car products. I want to give a huge shoutout to Ken for going above and beyond with customer service. My car battery needed to be replaced, and not only did he take the time to help me, but he did it out in the pouring rain without hesitation. He stayed positive the entire time and made sure everything was installed correctly before I left. It’s rare to find someone that dedicated and willing to go the extra mile. Excellent service!
If I could give less than one star I would. We bought a battery for our company van from this store less than 2 years ago, it said it had a THREE year warranty. So it was still under warranty and went bad. They refused to honor the warranty and wouldn't listen to the fact that it wasn't keeping a charge. They tried to blame it on our van instead of just replacing the bad battery. Next, they tried to sell us a new battery and tried to tell us that the new one was the one we needed despite the fact that it was much bigger and wouldn't fit the vehicle. We had to insist on the same size battery as we previously had. When I need my next battery I WILL NOT buy from them. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and the staff is not knowledgeable.
Today my battery died way across the street from Stanwood AutoZone in a shopping area. I walked over to AutoZone and Mike was there with a smile to greet me. I explained the situation, and Mike immediately drove to my car and jumped the battery, so I get get back to the AutoZone and get a new battery. Not only did sell me a battery I could afford (instead of the hard upsell), he came outside and installed it for me. Mike made such a stressful situation a breeze. This kind of customer service has won my business forever. Thank you Mike!
In the early morning, I encountered a motorcycle issue and left feeling thoroughly cared for. John J. went to great lengths to identify the problem, offer viable solutions, and ultimately resolve it within ten minutes. Notably, he did so in a relaxed and composed manner, which conveyed a sense of expertise that belied his apparent lack of knowledge about cars and motorcycles.
I have to say this store has some amazing people working there. Mike always remembers me when I come in and always has gone out of his way to be helpful and answer all my questions. Both Mike and John have gone above and beyond my expectations everytime I come in and I won't go anywhere else now based on that.
These guys are rock stars. They found the part for me even though the system said it was available. They went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I was able to leave with what I needed, these guys are very knowledgeable in what the store has to offer and also where everything specifically is.
Autozone almost always had the parts I needed. They are cheaper quality parts, but I have never had any parts fail or break on me. I had my starter checked by them, and they said it was good when it ended up not being good. So, the machine can be inaccurate as it only checks to see if it spins, not if it's actually capable of cranking the engine.
Great customer service! Very helpful and honest, going above and beyond the call of duty! Best auto store we've been to in a long time! Ask for Weeda in the Stanwood store, he's the man!
I would like to tell the managers how knowledgeable Aiden is. He diagnosed the problem with my car, knew exactly how to fix it, explained to me what he was doing (which is not easy sometimes) all the while maintaining a kind and professional demeanor. This young man is definitely a credit to AutoZone. Thank you very much, Aiden. I was worried when I came into the store and you knew exactly what to do, how to fix the problem and smile. You are a credit!
Store 3724 Stanwood- 1-3-2023 Michael and Mark went beyond professional in hearing my issue with an AutoZone battery I previously purchased. I had just broke down and got a jump so I could go to AutoZone. It seemed the battery was given me alot of starting issues and they understood my fear of breaking down with a baby in the truck and being an instant emergency. Thank you for listening and exchanging my battery for a new one and a free installation on top of the initial testing. I was amazed at the service and professionalism they both offered me. UPDATE!!! I HAVE ONE MORE PERSON TO ADD. David Taylor went above and beyond for us tonight. My heater went out in my truck. I was short the cost of new blower and he gave a discount to us so that we could walk out with our part. We are very grateful. Especially since its below 32 out. Thank you!!!! The people who work here... Amazing. They go above and beyond to get a person what they need.. Michael the manager is amazing. We needed a loaner tool and I was short the deposit. He made sure I walked out with the tool needed to get the job done and remembered my name and just went above and beyond every time me or my husband shop there which is frequently and the only auto parts store we go to!! Highly recommended!!
The Stanwood AutoZone is a nice place to be for an owner of aging cars. They might not be able to break out a dusty old parts book and cross reference random bits to order from the distributors like some of the privately owned stores, but the small store feel persists. I feel that my patronage is rewarded with happy employees, and cheery chats when coming up to the counter. Michael is a great guy every time I talk to him, and several of the other staff members have expressed interest in my projects, which always makes me feel welcomed. To me, there's a few ways to buy parts. Some stores are purely for very commonly held parts, and the staff isn't very knowledgeable. Some stores (few and far between) offer a lot of specific and hard to find parts, and the staff can help you find workaround solutions. Sometimes the part you need can only be found at a dealership or online, where they specialize in offering solutions first. This specific store falls somewhere between the first 2, but I always come here first because of the people
My car has been acting up so I came here to find out what it was. I found out it could be a couple things both could cause the problem that is happening. The employee sent me the report through email & printed it out for me. He let me know that I needed to have a mechanic check out since he didn't want to sell me parts if they might not fix the problem. I really appreciate the honesty & it's one of the reasons I come to this location because these guys go above & beyond to help someone. I'm definitely coming back!
Tonight I went in to get my cars check engine light scanned and the young kid working prints out the report and has the audacity to say “wow your cars pretty beat up”. My car isn’t shiny and fancy but I bought it with my hard earned money and has never had a problem until tonight. He’s lucky he didn’t get knocked out. Kid better watch who he disrespects and learn to keep his little thoughts to himself
The staff here was amazing! John went out of his way this last Independence Day to get me back on the road. I stopped for gas in Stanwood on my motorcycle ( I was visiting friends for the holiday) and found that I had a dead battery when I tried to leave. I was so happy to find this place open on the holiday and how helpful these guys were. THANK YOU!
Everytime I go here I always easily find what I'm looking for, for a great price. The customer service is awesome as well. I had my break lights replaced by them a few months ago, one of them went out so I came back and asked them to check it out and see what happened. An employee, Geo helped me and replaced the one that went out for free and gave me a new second one just in case that one went out as well.
The staff are knowledgeable and efficient. I brought in a battery for recycle as well as pick up some parts. I did not even know they give a $10 gift card for the old battery. Highly recommended.
