As with many other reviewers have noted, the pricing here is skeevy. Called about a dehumidifier, and the lady on the phone told me $15 to dispose of it. Cool, no problem.
I get there (same day) with the dehumidifier and now it’s suddenly $40. The receipt with the schedule of fees has $15 crossed out and $40 written over it with a sharpie. I paid it because I just wanted to be rid of this thing, and where else can you get rid of a compressor.
I hope you enjoyed ripping me off once, because next time, I’d drive 50 miles to get rid of the next one, just to avoid this place.
Absolutely horrible customer service by the owner! He’s a terrible businessman, completely rude, belligerent, aggressive, argumentative and arrogant! Only kind people are the employees. Unfortunately, because of a tyrant owner, they have to keep their heads. If you wanna have a bad experience, by all means go there, but you might want to think twice and take your business to someone who actually will appreciate it other than this guy. I guarantee that if you go somewhere else the owner will not argue with you, call you names, yell and swear at you…..that is just an inkling of the experience I had to endure. I’ve spoken to others of gotten there and they have had the exact same experience if not worse. Don’t waste your time going there. Thank you for reading.
Wish I could give them negative stars. The only reason I sold my brass here was because I was out of gas and they are the only place open. The guy was trying to turn me away 20 min before they closed. Then shorted me on the weight. Then shorted me 50 cents per pound on the final price. Didn’t write me a ticket and I got no receipt. Never again.
Don’t go here!! Apparently they only take copper and aluminum the only worth it money making metals , I tried to take some scrap metal from my shop and this really rude Asian guy idk his name instantly turned me away and was extremely rude not sure if it was because was an hour before closing but still.. they just seemed to be sitting around waiting to go home, but I asked where then can I take this he replied idc not here! So I waved him off bye and was on my way, not before he seemed to talk smack beneath his breath .. I would go to schnitzer steel in woodenville they’ll actually pay you for the aluminum/ copper and even all other metals that these guys just take off you for free . I wouldn’t support this business seems like they’re only in it for the money and will snark and belittle you if you don’t have what they want.. great business model.. after reading other people’s reviews it makes sense these guys are crooks and screw a lot of people over seems like don’t belong in our good city of Mukilteo whatsoever 👎👎👎
Customer service is kind of rough. Would be very helpful if the website said that they only received recycling. Not a good place to purchase reclaimed material..
Don't waste your time or gas getting there. Rude customer service, tried to charge me to drop off scrap metal. Told me to see their "non" working website for fees.
This is by far the best Recycle Center around! Not only is the owner and the staff so friendly and kind, I can tell they take care of their business and make sure everything is well organized. Bad reviews were most likely left by greedy people. Not only do I feel great about making some bucks but I also feel like I had a wonderful experience! Everything was so quick and easy. Thank you so much for all the help! I'll definitely make this my recycle spot!!
Pay attention to what they are doing. They will try to get away with whatever they think they can. I had 81 lbs of copper wire. Th man there slid one of his bins over to the scale like he was going to load up the wire. He threw 3 large rolls in the bin. I was picking up my buckets. Then he was going to fill out the ticket and he said 71 lbs.. I said it was 81 and he said no, 71. I pointed to the bin and he said "oh". Sneaky!
Easy to find, right by Gerber. U-turn at Shell if northbound on Speedway. Big sign directs you inside gate, nose-in parking for offload. Gentleman on site brought forklift for easy tube-tv offload. Quick signature in book. No fees and left old tower motherboard+ for computer recycle. Good, fast service.
These guys are super nice. Very friendly and helpful. My kids stripped a bunch of copper wire and they bought it for a good price and we’re not jerks at all as compared to what some of the reviews here say. We went in with a good attitude and they treated us the same. The gentleman that helped us gave a lot of advice about how to recycle the metal and beat seperate to get good prices. My kids are going to continue to save metal to recycle here. They even sent them out with candy.
The man who attends at this establishment is so rude! I parked, apparently, in the wrong spot. He went on and on about how I was supposed to park between the lines!! I would if their parking lines were VISIBLE! It’s a recycle yard, there weren’t any lines!! This business is just up the road in a convenient location but I would drive twice as far in order to avoid giving this man any of my money….would rather fund the gas companies by buying more fuel to drive further!!!!
First off- I do not like to leave a poor review. But this is to help anyone considering patronizing this establishment.
I live in Edmonds and figured I would go to the place near my home; what a waste of time. I had a lot of mixed copper and bronze, nearly 1000 Lbs. collected from my business.
The rude person started telling me it was nearly worthless and said the most he would pay was .80 cents per pound. I knew that was BS because I've recycled in the past south of Seattle. I left and drove to south of Seattle where they paid me $1.60 per pound.
Don't waste your time with this rip-off rude business.
Yard guy talked very condescending to me. Tries hard to make what you bring have little value. Won't take any steel, even for free. Total waste of my time. I highly recommend you try somewhere else. They'll make you feel like you shouldn't be there.
Their website says they open at 8am but I got yelled at that they don't open until 9am. There is no need to be rude. Change your website to indicate the hours you are actually open and don't yell at your customers when they are going by your own website.
2 stars for offering the service of recycling. -3 because the employee I interacted with was rude. Their website says they are open until 5:30. We called before we left the house to double check but no one answered the phone. When we arrived, just after 5, an employee walked up to the car, with his mask off of his face, and told us that they close at 5 to have everything finished up by 5:30. I asked him to put on his mask and he brought it up to the bottom of his nose. With an employee who doesn't value the safety of others and gives attitude, despite a website that is giving incorrect information, I do not recommend this facility, if you can avoid it.
My first time experience was great! Friendly, courteous and helpful with information! Didn't know they were there and so close to home! I'll be going back!
I am a 22 year old full time medical student.
Not only were the copper prices low, I went in and got money STOLEN from me from one of the employees. They lied to my face about it. To top it off the guy who took it also tried to hit on me after. They have no cameras in the back so I have no proof, only the fact that I am missing my rent money ($1000). I know it was dumb to go in there with that kind of cash, but I was getting the money for the copper and going straight to the bank. I am so furious as to the managers response. He gave me his 'personal number' to call if I got home and couldn't find the money. After 10 minutes (I live right up the street) I gave him a call knowing that I didn't leave it at home, but going to check just in case. It was a fake number and I had no one to get a hold of and by this point they closed and everyone left.
The next morning I called and talked to a woman manager who wasn't there that evening. I explained the situation and told her who had handled my things and explained what he looked like. She said, and I quote, "I think I know who you are talking about, and he is sketchy." She apologized and was very sweet and kind to me.
I think the other manager was involved in some way and convinced me to leave. I realize now it is cash and was a HUGE mistake of my own.
I know I won't be getting it back, but to look at a crying girl, begging for someone to fess up. I told them I would give them $200 of it if they returned it... But still no-one stood up.

It’s a metal recycler, they take your metal and pay you cash, it’s awesome! Save those copper wire scraps from your electrical work and if you strip off the NM sheathing it will increase your $/lb payout. Also they two TVs for free and recycle them for you.
No customer service. Came here, asked a guy where do I pull in to unload, he said he didn't know. Came to front desk area, they said they were in a meeting and closed the door. Few moments later a guy came out, said our bins are full and we don't have a scale currently. "You can leave it here but we're not paying anything now". Their website doesn't reflect this at all, which I told the guy. No sorry, nothing. Strongly suggest future customers go to the Lynnwood or Woodinville locations.
The positive reviews for Ace Metal Company must be fake because the place is a nightmare. Here's how they try to cheat you. They will tell you one price over the phone. They will try and get you to unload the metal before the per pound value is assessed. Once the Metal is unload they will drop the per pound value. They are betting that you will not reload all of your product. They will try to negotiate you to 50% of the initial price settling at 70%. They did this with myself and a friend of mine. There initial offer was $.90 a lbs they cut it to $.45 a lbs, We got $1.10 from Lynnwood recycling just up the road with no games and no troubles.
