I took my 2013 BMW X1 to Rutt's Automotive in July for replacement of the wheel hub and bearings.

Just spent $10000 at their shop. And the engine light is still on. I ask them to turn the engine light off force. And they're giving me a hard time about bringing it back and getting the engine light off after I've spent $10000. I don't think this is a place. Anybody should want to take their car and get the kind of service. I got, this is a warning to anyone. That's dealing with these guys not to take your car there. Because you're not gonna like the service when it's all over and done.
They quoted us one price. then called and said they were having trouble and needed the car a little longer. When we went to pick it up they charged $500 more than the quote because of extra labor.
Honest staff and owner. Our GMC had multiple issues that kept us from driving it. They were able to get to work on it right away, and within 2 days we were back on the road! All our issues are resolved and the trucks running great! A dealership would have taken weeks just to get it in. I will refer friends and family to Rutt’s now. Thank you!!
Had some work done on our Scion here. I found that everyone we spoke with genuinely cared about us. A+ customer service. They were timely, kind, and appropriately priced. Would recommend this shop to anyone in the Marysville area.
On our road trip from Oregon to Canada, the starter died in our car. We started calling mechanics, hoping someone could help us. Not only did Rutt's get us in within an hour, they were all very friendly - our road trip has already been burdened with all sorts of trouble, Rutt's gave me a glimmer of positivity that the rest of the trip will be ok. Big thanks to Paul and the other 2 mechanics, whose names I didn't catch.

I was very impressed with the professionalism, friendliness and trustworthiness. They replaced the motor on my windshield wipers, it turns out the motor was defective, I took it back to the shop and they replaced it at no charge, no questions asked! Thank you Paul and crew!

NOTE the UGLY responses these people make to EVERY bad review should be proof enough of their character. This guys wife is something else. They took advantage of my aging father and would not warranty thousands of dollars worth of supposed work they did to his truck with a new transmission and turbo for deisel truck. If you went to these people and you wonder...did they really replace that or have a new problem that keeps you going back, suspect them. They are shady and dishonest and do not back their work. We are contacting their insurance and warning the public.
I have dealt with Shane and the crew over the years and I've found him to be the most honest mechanic I've interacted with. I am not "one of his buddies" or a "regular" but he has been more then fair anytime I have had to use him. There's a reason he's always so busy
Super shady people who aren’t quite aware of how to be professional in a customer service environment. Charged my elderly grandfather hours more labor than necessary. Quoted multiple hours of labor for a job with a $30 part that I took home myself and completed in a hour. What’s even more sad about these people is that they are actively berating people who have had issues with them in their reviews rather than trying to make things right with customers. These crooks aren’t about the people, they’re just about their money.
Response to reply: There’s no excuse for poor customer service. My grandfather paid all that he was aware he needed to. Maybe if you were more kind to elderly veterans, he wouldn’t have chosen to go elsewhere. It’s not up to your customers to be better for you, you become better for your customers. Anything beyond that speaks of your character and how you run your business.
These guys are great. Very fair prices and will give you all the information that you need to make a decision on repairs. They will give you an estimate and explain the reasons behind what they tell you needs to be done. They will give you an estimate over the phone then inspect everything and if there was a change they will give you a good answer to why. Absolutely love this shop. I traveled from. Hamilton Wa to have work done.
I brought my truck in because of a noise coming from the rear differential. They checked it out and they found I was right, there was definitely a problem in the diff. They went through it therally and found it was a mess; even the axels were shot. They replaced everything that "only needed to be replaced" and did a great job. And now it's as good as new. They take pride in there work, and do a good clean job. No complaints here. Thanks guys
Just had my car in to diagnose a knocking sound coming from what i assumed was my alternator. Turns out my assumption was right. Shane and his crew replaced it along with the serpentine belt and she's good as new! They did an oil change on it as well. I dropped it off early afternoon, and it was ready to pick up an hour before closing time! No complaints on my end and nothing but gratitude to Shane for a job well done. So this is a locally owned business. The owner and his wife are amazing people and they are 100% honest. Point S in Seattle in the University District said we needed calipers, brakes, rotors and that the control arms and axel were damaged and needed replaced with a possible new wheel bearing as well. Once we got the car to our mechanic here he had the calipers ordered and ready to put on. Now comes the good part, our mechanic ( the owner ) came and talked to us after a bit and let us know that Point S was trying to take us for as much money as they could. Not one bit of what we were told by Point S was true and I was even shown everything on my vehicle and shown it was all just fine but we did find out that when he drove the car the transmission is what was bad and the transmission lubricant was brown and almost dry which means the car needed a new transmission not all the unnecessary stuff Point S wanted to sell us. We have been here to Rutt's Automotive Repair before and the people truly are kind, caring and HONEST. My wife and I did buy them breakfast since we were there early and their first customers. I strongly urge anyone needing auto repairs to go here, you will be treated right, not lied to and definitely leave not having to replace anything you don't need or spend more money than is needed.
Today for the first time in 6 years being away from Washington state and being back in town. I felt Rutt's was the place go because they did such a good job in the past. I called and set up an appointment with them. I even told them that I was getting OFF at 4:30 pm coming from Everett and if that would be a problem and they said no. I show up at 5:30 pm due to Interstate 5 traffic. The owner turns me away because he wants to leave and drink a beer.. really. I guess good customer service is not important anymore.
A HONEST and excellent mechanic team that will meet your automotive needs! They do light to major work including full engine and transmission replacement and many custom needs also! I have been a customer for over 6 years now.
I took my Vette in to have some work done on it, I get a call from the Marysville Police that my car was pulled over for going 60mph-80mph in a 25mph zone for reckless driving. It appears Shane took my car for a joy ride. I lost all trust on him and will not be using his service any more. I think I'm being generous by giving him 1 star.
To actually trust your mechanic is a great feeling. Anytime we have an issue with one or our cars, we bring it to Rutt's. They are good people. We have family that got quoted incredibly high through the dealer, then went to Rutts and got the work done for significantly less. One time my commuter Honda wasn't starting and it was such a simple fix there was no charge. He said just to come back again. So we did! They are busy but worth the wait. Definitely go to Rutt's.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you take your vehicle here for any repairs. After years of getting questionable repairs for the price far above what could be imGreatagened. I found Rutts, and couldn't believe great service for the fraction of what I have been paying. Rutts is honest, very fair, and does a fantastic job. I was looking for a reliable trustworthy honest place to take my car I had a bunch of people refer me to rutts. Is the only place I'll be taking my vehicles from now on. Thank you rutts for taking such good care of myself and my cars. they even took time out of their day just to look over some things that I had concern about.
First time customer. Last time customer.
My truck broke down in the circle K parking lot right next to their shop. I went in there at 9am to see if they would have time to look at it and they said they would push it over into their lot and have a look. I was concerned about my vehicle being towed since it had been parked there all night, but they said they would have some guys bring it over. I gave them the key and waited for their call. It never came.
At 7pm I went back to the circle K to find my truck nowhere in sight.. nor was it in their yard. I called Dick's towing and surprise surprise.. it had been towed at 6:30pm.
Not only did they never get my vehice.. they couldn't even be bothered to call me and let me know so I could have it brought to them. I incurred another $150 fee to get the truck out of impound, plus a tow to have to have it brought to another shop to be fixed. Waste of time, waste of money.
