We have used these "Tall Guy Small Guy Automotive" for 20 years, my father would get work done here, I get work done here, and my children do the same. Honest, local and fair priced, now not every repair was working 100% the first time back, but they will make sure to continue to fix the problem until it is working 100%. For Car SHOP TO DO THAT --- That is above and beyond what you can ask for.
I really appreciate TGSG. They do a great job taking care of all of our cars. They explain things clearly and I feel their prices are reasonable. I am able to get my repairs and updates done quickly and overall they are a no hassle place which is a HUGE for me!
We have been regular customers of Tall Guy Small Guy. They are the best of the best. I have not seen or heard anything negative about them. The business gets training for the employees so as to keep them up-to-date on technical issues. We have sent more people to the business over 20years.
We bring all the family cars here for all our needs. They are quick honest and have fair prices. Would highly recommend. There are some limitations they have since they are not a dealer but in general they meet all our needs.

I was told my brakes were bad. I made an appointment with this place. Took my car in ansld they told me I don't need them. But I will need rotors at some point. I'm glad they were honest and up front. Will definitely go back when I do need new ones.
I usually wait to give 5 starts until someone really goes above all a few times. Vince is just the best. Everytime i call him, full of anxiety about a car issue, he puts me at ease. Very professional, kind and intelligent. Very grateful for this company and hope they are around for a long time ! Not to much quality left in this world but this place has quality. And kindness. I was taking my son to Kung Fu and my power steering started acting up. They topped it for me without a second thought and didn't charge me anything. I would definitely recommend them to any one in the area. This definitely made the drive home to Everett a lot easier than it would have been with lack of power steering. :-). Thank you!
Vince is absolutely amazing! My brothers truck broke down and we were on vacation not knowing what to do. Even though they were booked out 2 to 3 weeks he diagnosed the problem and fixed it on the fly within the hour.

Had a grinding coming from my passenger side, turned out my E brake assembly had fallen apart inside of the drum.. they were able to get it replaced, including new drums.on both sides, and had it all taken care of and had me back on the road same day.. Very friendly, very professional, highly recommend them
Plenty of street parking out front. I chose this establishment for a second opinion, and I am so happy I did. Their initial assessment was a pricey replacement part with labor. When I asked for them to show me where to replenish a particular liquid, they didn't hesitate to open the hood and guide me - very patient and great customer service there! Upon guiding me to my power steering portal, they realized they made a mistake with their initial assessment, and quickly informed me of their mistake. They could've taken advantage of me as I am not mechanically inclined, but they chose to be up front. 1. Great customer service, and not just with me, but with everyone who called in while I waited, and everyone in the waiting room. 2. No negative vibes upon entering establishment. 3. It's always a good idea to have the mechanics physically show you what is what under the hood. They are still human, after all.
Yesterday, after waiting 6 weeks for an appointment, I paid the dealership $300 to tell me that my car required a part that was no longer in production and that there was nothing more they could do. A friend recommended Tall Guy Small Guy Automotive. I called this morning and left a message. They returned my call 30 minutes later and said they had an opening this afternoon. I went in hoping there was a chance that a part could be found somewhere and that the car could be repaired eventually. They found a part nearby and repaired my car this afternoon. I was extremely lucky to call today and get the open spot on their schedule. The typical wait for June and July is 3 weeks and 7 to 10 days the rest of the time.
These guys are amazing and their prices are reasonable! They fixed my door which had been broken for over a year and found my battery leak. Edit: Lowered the stars simply because I've been trying to talk to someone for ages, no one is calling us back. Which sucks, cause I really liked them.
Top notch service. Thank you for last minute repair! Needed brakes and turned to google for nearby help non les schwab. Map showed .4 miles away so we rolled into his place greeted immediately in the yard and told he could get us fixed on the spot. Very reasonable rates. Great communication.

This was the first time I used them. They came highly recommended from a local auto parts store and they lived up to it. They got me scheduled quickly and got to my vehicle right away. I was impressed at how organized they were and how smoothly they ran their business. It was very busy yet they were right on top of things. Their being that busy also told me that they are a trusted business. The price quoted was the price I paid and they didn’t try to sell me anything. I will definitely use them again.

Great mechanics shop imo. Many shops today upsell you for little to no reason. I have personally had 2 different positive experiences with the guys here. In today's age to get solid advice from and honest mechanic who knows his stuff is priceless. I would recommend this shop to anyone. I drive 30 minutes to get work here done, it's worth it.
This is my third visit for car repairs. 1 new transmission in my husband's Impala..1 replaced heat shield...and some minor maintenance today to replace some worn parts in my Escape. Highest level of professionalism I've ever encountered taking my truck to a shop. I got my clutch replaced and my heater fixed & it came out to exactly what I was quoted-- even less because they were able to just fix the wiring to my blower. Highly recommend as your local shop! Will be returning.
One of the hardest things to do is find a good car guy. After moving to Washington from out of state, I started searching for mine. Initially, I chose Talk Guy, Small Guy just because of the great reviews.
My first visit was to replace my front brakes. Vince gave me my quote, and since I didn't have that trust in him yet, I called other shops to compare prices. Everywhere else charged more, tried to talk to me like I wouldn't understand their explanations, or both. This reassured me that I chose the right place, not only because of the lowest pricing but also because Vince treats you with respect, answers any questions you have, and explains things with the goal of you understanding the what's and why's behind his actions.
The second time I came in, I unfortunately found out my car had a blown head gasket. Not cheap. Because of the steep price, I decided to make some calls again to get other quotes. This time, the quotes I was given for fixing just the head gasket were higher than what Vince charged me for doing a diagnostic, replacing the head gasket, replacing my rear brakes, and doing a tune-up.
Needless to say, Vince has earned my trust, my business, and my high recommendation. I won't take my car anywhere else and would recommend him to anyone looking for a place to take their car. I honestly can't say enough great things about Tall Guy, Small Guy or Vince. Just know, it's rare to find any business, especially an auto repair shop, that offers a friendly face, high-quality service, and the best prices around, but that's what you get with Tall Guy, Small Guy Automotive.
Took my car in on the recommendation from someone who has been going here for 20 years. They were able to diagnose my issue for free, brought me back and showed me the exact problem.
I anticipated the problem being rather expensive, and of course there's always at least 2-3 additional problems once they get under the car.
I went in for a strut/spring fix and wound up needing rear brakes, rotors, shocks and my differential serviced, and at the end, all of that work still amounted to being several hundred less than I had anticipated spending on the single fix.
And then they fixed everything SAME DAY within 3 hours and had me back in my vehicle.
Staff were super honest, kind and professional and I don't feel like I was overcharged or taken advantage of.
I would highly recommend any service you need done, should be by this shop.
Top notch mechanics! They are not interested in upselling and just making money. They seem genuinely caring for the customer and their needs. Vince was easy to talk to and very responsive. They got me in and out quickly and the price was very fair. I will now bring all my work trucks here!
Was quoted $125 to change just my front brake pads. Went in to drop off my car, with friends waiting to pick me up so i wouldn't be stuck there waiting.. walked in to be informed that i was quoted the wrong price, and its actually $180 for each axle. Ridiculous. Brake pads are about $45 for the front pair. It's a pretty simple job, should only take an hour, possibly even less, and he wants me to pay $180....yeah right man. Especially when I was already quoted a different price. Whatever. I'll just do it myself. Thank you for wasting my time, as well as my friends. Who ever I talked to on the phone was a really nice guy...but be careful if you get the other one. He doesn't stick to quotes, and obviously doesn't care about his customers. Never going back there again.
