What clients say about Airport Road Recycling & Transfer Station in Everett (WA)

Well labeled self-serve drop off locations for many different kinds of recyclable materials. I brought old burnt-out ring fluorescent lights here and found the right bin for them quite easily.

Great facility but fees bumped up from Jan 2026 with the lowest at $30 it was $20 before, I dont remember seeing the fees increase info on their website nov/dec of last year. Good facility though

Staff always friendly! The line moves really fast and they keep the vehicle unload area very clean!

Very easy to recycle the mountain of Amazon boxes. You can recycle batteries, cooking oil, motor oil, and lots of other stuff.

We use this facility often and it is fantastic! Very conveniently located, efficient to get in and out, Staff is friendly, they even provide hoses to spray out the back of your truck when you’re done on the hydraulic section only not on the hand unload section. They’re pretty strong hoses which make it really helpful for getting loose debris out of the back of our trucks, they have a recycling center too, which helps us having everything all in the same place when needed.

Best transfer station ever. Open every day so no need to coordinate dump runs. Quick and easy entrance, same with the exit. It's a win/win all the way around!

1.86 tons of family trash is gone forever!
This is a very clean and organized operation!Nov 30, 2025 -
The guy in the booth was extremely disrespectful and rude towards me and my dad. And we shouldn't have to pay $42 to empty one garbage can!!!! AVOID THIS DUMP AT ALL COSTS!!!! GO TO SILVERDALE INSTEAD!!!! THEY'RE WAY NICER AND THEIR RATES ARE FAIR!!!!

Extremely unprofessional organization they told me they do not take copper wire that's one of the highest paying medals for a metal recycler now they tell me they do not take dimensional lumber the rules keep changing the prices are going up if this was a private company they'd be bankrupt a long time ago yay to see my tax dollars not working

It is amazing what it costs for the first 360 pounds. Well worth it.

I've been here so many times, every time its been a great positive experience. One thing I would request for household waste is please do not dump organic compostable waste in here. Those things smell horrible We're probably here only for maybe 5-10 mins, but the staff is here for the entire day. Please consider their health and don't drop organic waste in here

Quick and easy to dump your trash. Open everyday. I think its up to 350 lbs of trash for 20 bucks. They weigh you when you enter and exit

Always awesome throwing things out at the dump! The workers are so sweet and have the best customer service

Smooth flow even in early afternoon on Labor day. These folks have it dialed in.

$20 to self-dump up to 350lbs of household garbage. You unload your vehicle yourself. They DO not supply tools or help. We had a positive experience. They DO NOT accept refrigerators or freezers - in any way, shape or form. It does NOT matter if it's been drained. They WILL NOT accept it at this facility.

Staff here are very professional, it's fairly cheap to drop off a load, setup is good, so that in always in and out quickly.

Just moved to the area and had a van full of boxes and packing paper. The attendant in the recycling area and also the attendant in the garbage transfer pay booth were very friendly, informative and made the visit a very enjoyable experience. Thank you!

I paid $20 up front tell the worker what was in the bed of the truck to throw away we drive through back in start unloading the yard debris just to be told that they don't recycle yard debris and I had to find some where else to dump it. Go back to front to get refund just to be told no refund. Not right

The line was not too long when I got there. I went to the scale and they took my weight and license plate number, then sent me down lane 2. I had my Sierra full of garbage and it was only 20 bucks including tax. The smell while throwing the garbage out was about what you would expect, but that was the only downfall. The staff were courteous and helpful. The price was absolutely reasonable. It is also easy to find on Google maps and was reasonably close to me.

The folks running the recycling were kind and helpful since it was my first time there!
On the other hand, patrons can't seem to read: "flatten your boxes" (so they can get more into a dumpster)! Also, "flatten your CLEAN cans", for the same reason. They may not tell you to remove the labels but think of the added pollution if the labels have to be burned off!!
Dirty containers is the main reason China no longer wants to recycle our stuff (per an owner of a recycling facility in WA)! Which reminds me how lazy many Americans are. PS, I grew up recycling in the 1960's in Snohomish County.Feb 09, 2025 -
Recycling center makes it easy to recycle metal, cardboard, mixed paper, batteries, etc. at no cost.

There's no sinks in the women's bathroom & Deitrch Coffee wanted to charge me $7.50 PLUS TAX for the tiniest croissant sandwich I've ever seen. Not o mention it looked like it had been on the case for several days.
CLASSIC EVERETT. Filthy.Dec 13, 2024 -
pulled up, got weighed, dumped oversized objects, left, got weighed paid, fast, easy and loud...so wear ear plugs.
It's all indoors, undercover so no need to bring rain coats.
The only thing I wonder about is why we pay for it and not them paying us to bring stuff in...b/c other wise the state pays waste management to drive out to our place and pick it up...we're basically doing them the favor.
tips: always use a tarp or netting, they may charge you extra and no tv's.
Overall I'm glad we have this facility close by and open on the weekends.Jul 22, 2024 -
PSA: Please throw your junk away and stop hoarding stuff before you pass, because if you don't take care of it before your day comes, the burden becomes someone elses!! Just say no to clearance racks and retail therapy, and put that $ into high yield savings account instead of box stores. I PROMISE, You don't need more junk.
Personally, my outlook on possessions and misc. material junk has changed since losing many family members in the past 7 years, having to clear out/toss 95% of their posthumous belongings. I will NOT be putting that same burden on my family in the future, and you shouldn't either.
Junk removal companies in the Puget Sound Region may serve their purpose for certain jobs and scenarios differ on case to case basis.... But after spending thousands of dollars on 3 different 'Full Truck' loads vs. RENTING 10 foot boxtruck for a day and doing it myself + Dump fee, I've come to realize that those removal companies mark up their services by 800%-900%!! Which is great for them, but not so great for the people in similar positions to mine.
No wonder I keep see new JUNK removal companies pop-up every month.... easy profit and there's never a shortage of junk to throw away.
So PRAISE THE LORD for public transfer stations, like the Airport Road location.. you guys have always been courteous, helpful, save me money. Much cheaper than paying a company to come do the same thing I'm capable of.Apr 20, 2024 -
Favorite things about the "dump"? It's clean (you're not going to step on fallen bits), it doesn't smell, the employees who take your money or guide you backing up are proficient and polite. My favorite feature is their website where you get a live cam as to how long the line is on weekends or in good weather when more people seem to find reasons to go to the dump.

This place is a dump. Luckily, that was exactly what I was looking for. the staff are nice and seem to have a good sense of humor. The facility has areas for light loads in pickup trucks, big loads in trailers, even large box trucks. It's fun to watch them crush all of the garbage with their large loaders. They were also kinda enough to tow me out when my ranger broke down. The facility also has a place for free recycling. Anything from Tin, to cardboard, to Automotive fluid.

The friendliest staff ever. Every one is nicer than the last. I was fined $5 for not having a secure load, after the explanation they were absolutely right and I was happy to pay it. Super quick, a car load for $20 is so worth it.

The entry area is easy to access. The folks at the cashier aisles are really helpful and easy to work with.
Sure this place is a dump...that’s why we go there. Sometimes customers get away with leaving overflowing diapers on the floor. But in the times we’ve been there, the facilities have been in good shape—for a dump.
The staff are responsive and easy to work with, but I’ve seen some customers who would be a challenge.
A smile as one drives up with a wave of the hand goes a long way. Never had any problem in getting answers.Sep 21, 2019 -
Staff here is wonderful! From the women in the scale house, answering questions, and giving me pamphlets with the information. To the gentlemen whom helped me back my truck into a stall. Rules were posted on the wall. Acceptance policy was too. GREAT GREAT GREAT facility. Will use again and again and again. Oh and 33% cheaper than king county.
