The dude there will straight up cheat you. And if what the other guy said about his scales being light is correct, i really got burned. Basically he gave me less than 10% of what he should have paid. Stainless prices today at $1863/ton. His scale showed 244lbs. He paid me $20, and then I said something so he handed me another $5. I have at least 10 more loads to take ….but it won’t be back there. At today’s prices that load should’ve paid $227.89. His bad business practices will catch up with him soon enough.

To his place. Show scale receipt from the scale house. He did nothing but denied that his scales were perfect and that the DOT scales are off. They were only gonna pay 85 bucks a ton. When 3 miles down the street pay 165 what a rip off. Can’t even understand him. Don’t ever go to this guy he will do nothing but take advantage of you and laugh in your face while doing it
Everybody keeps saying the owner is a crook, he doesn't have to pay the national scrap price, he can set his own prices at whatever he feels like. It is up to you to ask what his prices and percentages are on different metals before you throw them on the scale and it's also your responsibility to know what metal you have, how much it weighs and what the national scrap price is that day so you have an idea how much what your bringing in is worth. If you do those things and you talk with him he is more than fair, but you can't just walk up with a bunch of random misc.scrap and have no idea what it's relative value is and complain when u don't get the amount you thought you would. Plus he is running a business and has to make money also.
Once you get the feel of the place and figure out how they operate it's really a great place and the owner is a nice guy.
Just make sure you separate your stuff and verbally tell the owner what's what, so he can inspect otherwise it will all be treated as general scrap.
The guy running the scale is a thief. I had 1 lbs copper 1 lbs brass and 4 lbs aluminum. He paid me for 6 lbs of aluminum. And told me to make sure I save up more for next time. Next time LMFAO there will be no next time. I only went to your rip off place because Sutter's was closed. Would give -5 if I had the option.
I had a giant steel scale made of 1/4” steel plate in the back of my truck. There was an older man working on Saturday and he helped us in less than a minute. Just glad to get rid of that thing and his forklift made getting it out super easy.
This place is just starting up and they sell to a recycling place like calbag I get it but come on they can pay a more for material brought to them or they have no business considering themselves as a scrap recycle entity let alone a name like mega metals, however the only positive thing I consider is the location
This hit is horrible 70 cents a lb for copper is insane. He's preying on the ones who need money instantly. Doesn't give receipts. Ever. And smokes dope.
Looking to scrape a catalytic converter and these guys offered $30 went to another place and got $225. Customer service was awful and he tried to rip us off!!

1 of 2 of the worst places I've been you sold 400 pounds of excision aluminum and wire they gave me .10¢ a pound on my aluminum and 31¢ on my wire South sound said they would pay .75 on wire and .55 on aluminum mega metals ur a crook it should be illegal what you guys are doing to your customers
Cool place to take metal that you may need to get rid of including metal hangers I know a lot of people actually get paid for the metal that they bring in myself just appreciate the convenience of being able to drop stuff off that you do not want-
Downfall is the parking lot is a huge land of metal very tight fit and quite busy loads of druggie waiting to sell their metal finds.
Poor owner works his butt off day and night.
The place is okay if you want to make a quick Buck this is the place to come but don't expect to get paid a lot that you think you're going to get a lot for your scrap metal cuz this place doesn't pay that much
