We ended up here by accident actually. We were headed to a fundraising event and our antique fire engine ran into transmission problems. Thinking we were low on fluid we stopped off and they helped us out to get the right kind and amount. However the problems were far more severe than we thought and a high pressure hydraulic line had blown. The folks here saved the day. Not only did they have the right tools and equipment to remove the line but they also custom made a new line for us! Without the help of these great folks bending over backwards to help us make the right parts and get the right tools, we would have been out thousands in a tow bill and instead we were out around $500 in new hoses, new tools, and new fluids. Today I just needed wiper blades, nothing big, but I want to particularly thank Isaiah for being so helpful & kind to me. You asked me right away if I wanted you to install the wipers I needed. Normally love this store, but I asked for OEM brake Pads and Rotors for my Subaru, and exactly ONLY 7,000 miles (mostly highway with very little braking) both rear rotors have deep groves in them. The original brakes I got exactly 100,000 miles out of them, so these are very poor, and are also making the vehicle make a droning noise. Furthermore the manager said any warranty on these would require me to pay labor to have the old one removed and possibly replacements costing me a boat load of money more to get re-installed. So I can no longer recommend NAPA in Port Townsend. See photos. The front rotor seems to be doing better, but I wonder how long before they go bad as-well. These rotors and pads they sold me are trash. Note the last photo was the back rotor bought from Napa having to be replaced less than 2 years after it was installed, with less than 15,000 miles on it, in a rural area that is mostly highway and not city. Those rotors are a joke.
5 stars is not enough for this team who helped a lady out today. My 2017 Ford Escape has a terrible engine design. The battery had died this morning and needed replacement. But some genius stuck the battery in the back of the engine in a very difficult to reach spot. I couldn't access it myself and needed assistance. After much effort Nathan and his two coworkers managed to successfully replace the battery. My heroes!
My initial concern was I would have to go to another repair shop that shall remain nameless. This unnamed shop has cost me much hassle in the past. They seem to be more concerned with separating people from their money and often "forget" to fix the issue I came in with from the start. The three guys at Napa not only fixed the problem it saved me a bundle too. I am relieved and a very very happy customer. Please ask for Nathan if you need help. He didn't judge me or see me (a woman) as a target which is what I get a lot in the world of autos. I am very grateful. You guys made my month!
*#•# NAPA. Everytime I go there they are closed. I’ve went there 6:45 and they were closed, they close at 7:00 for heavens sake. So I’ve got no use for them. I’ve been very disappointed from them
Another job was completed with the help of the team at this location, but Isiah, made the problem disappear and found the correct part to make the truck happy.
Man at the counter had no clue what he was doing. I just needed a rear signal light for a 2008 Chevy truck. O’Reillys auto parts took 2 seconds to give me the right bulb.
I want to support this place but after a few times getting poor customer service I'll stick with the corporate O'Reillys. A couple of people here are great, but if you get one that's not, they just want you to get a move on.
I love the service at this store! Everytime I've been in need of automotive assistance, this is where I go. I'm always greeted quickly with friendly customer service. They have the knowledge, advice and usually the answer. Not only was Nathan very helpful through my transaction, he was kind enough to help install the part. Top notch staff, thank you NAPA, especially Dave and Nathan!
THANK YOU ISAAH! After a looong day at work, he singlehandedly turned what could have been a nightmare scenario into a relatively minor inconvenience. He helped me out BIG TIME today. He knows exactly how to treat customers and what it means to do your job with a smile. Customer service has all but disappeared in this country but I rediscovered it today. Seriously, promote that dude to Regional Manager. Or at least give him a raise because whatever you're paying him is not enough.
I go here often, there is an older gentleman who is pretty helpful. Asking anyone else a question, about anything, is kinda like the time I asked my dentist why my tonsil was swollen; he looked at me puzzled and dismissed my question by telling me his job stopped at the last molar in the back.. it would be nice to go to an auto parts store and have some level of confidence that the person slanging auto parts knows more than I do about what they are selling. But hey, the parking lot is large and easy to park in.
When I last visited here they were very professional very helpful and was able too get what I needed. If you need auto parts they can usually get it for you or recommend you to were you can get it and they are very knowledgeable. And thier prices are reasonable.
Update the high success rate remains Nothing to improve.
The best in every way. Outstanding customer service, product selection AND were masked. Not true of my local NAPA store. My new go-to for car stuff and worth every minute/mile. Update went for a new battery pleasant but insanely slow service. A little confusion on exactly which one.
Sarah is amazing. She's so helpful and has always worked so hard to get me the parts I need. I consider myself an amateur, but I feel better after talking with and working with her. She deserves a raise. Some of the other folks are also great, and the stock is excellent. I think I've only had to wait for a part once.
This is where I go for parts, every time. Never been given the wrong part, returning parts, if needed is easy, and they almost always have the part needed in stock. And the sales team are the greatest!! I was stuck on something and the advice given worked better than I ever imagined. Just a great store all together.
Went to pick up a 4wheeler batter for my grandad. Shoulda called first, but they had it in stock. Was helped quickly by a knowlegable guy, transaction was quick and seamless and I was in and out.
RJ was very helpful in finding the wheel bearings needed for my vintage camper. Professional and courteous the entire time. Excellent selection, especially the more industrial side of things. Will definitely be back.👍
Mostly good, they had my wiper blades in stock and dug them out without me having to dig through the book looking for the part number, that's helpful. Waiting 10 minutes while the counter guy tried to figure out how to input the weekend deal from the flyer, not so much.
I've shopped at Westbay in Poulsbo and this location in Port Townsend. Both stores are exactly the same. If you're a good ol' boy friend of theirs, they'll treat you exceptionally well. If they don't know you, expect to feel like you're inconveniencing them. Shop elsewhere.
Reliable help from a good crew. Never a problem with warranty from this store. Plenty of knowledge and not afraid to recommend someone else if they don't know a particular problems solution.
Really knowledgeable staff and very helpful... found what I needed a battery for my walkie lift and where the only store around to have that. Awsome customer service.
