What clients say about QFC in Port Hadlock-Irondale (WA)
What can I say about QFC, prices have increased but it is not the fault of the Managers or the employees ie shelf-stockers or the cashiers. These people are only carrying out orders passed down from corporate. I don't shop much during the day because it can get pretty busy rather I go at night between 10pm - 1am. The night shift are some of the hardest working individuals restocking the shelves with new product. I've been in thier shoes unloading pallet after pallet also as they do this they are reorganizing the shelf(bring product to front as they put the new product behind it and refacing product as they go. You get to know this night crew when you continually shop at night it reminds me of the TV show Cheers where when you walk in its as if everyone knows your name. They will literally stop what they are doing to help you get to the right aisle if you can't find something and ask them where it is instead of giving you directions and a map there response as always been FOLLOW ME. My overall experience at QFC as a consumer is definitely A+++. Just remember as shoppers it is not the employees fault for what corporate does so stop and remember this before blowing up at a cashier or baker or any of the floor personal this goes for any business you enter as a consumer. IN CLOSING QFC RECIEVES A 10 OUT OF 10
It's QFC, they're basically all the same. They have good deals if you look for them and use your membership card, but It's not my idea of cheap groceries. Staff is beenl nice in my experience.
2025: well here it is 7 years later and you know what QFC still allows the employees to smoke right in front of the store where customers go. I couldn't find any contact us for the local store so I guess I'll have to go corporate. I mean just because you don't wear a name tag but you walk around with a bunch of keys that jingle on your belt loop doesn't make you someone who doesn't have to go by the rules
You may want to talk to the employees who cannot follow State rules. I got out of my car and saw a female employee standing at the side of the building having a cigarette with the door wide open. I was about 5 feet from her and could smell it. Obviously the manager of this store does not enforce rules.
My local grocery store. Easy to maneuver and friendly helpful service. I shop weekly sales and use digital coupons. 4X fuel points on Fridays help me save on fuel too!
Not your standand grocery location outside of the downtown areas. Walking into this grocery store is difficult to not turnaround because of the mazazing sensation and aroma! The insane amount of selection at an incredible price makes this grocery store a hidden gem in this unique community.
Visiting the area and this store was the closest to where we were staying, going through self checkout we needed assistance young man was very helpful but needed to call red vest manager to help. Manager was extremely rude and dressed down the young man in front of us, maybe a bad day but no excuse for acting that way in front of customers.
The QFC is a very busy grocery store. The people who work there are very helpful. Accidentally locked my keys in the car, so we (2 grandkids & myself) hung out in the parking lot waiting for AAA. A local Good Samaritan stopped to help us get in the car. Friendly people in Port Hadloch.
Store is clean and well stocked. But what really stands out is the customer service! I left my ID there, and had already returned from my trip before realizing. I called and Tieryn was kind enough to mail it back to me, and included a very nice note too. I sure appreciate her kindness, especially since it saved me a lot of hassle!
Im honestly unsure how to rate this location now. Id be shocked if ever I found out that management didn't change within the past 2 months. Ive frequently shopped this store all of my life and 2x minimum just recently I've purchased very very bad food . Extremely bummed that I can't depend on them to keep safe and healthy
Typical grocery store. They had what I needed. I was staying at a vacation rental nearby and wanted some food for dinner and a breakfast. Decided to get frozen pizza and some waffles.
A very clean and well stocked grocery store. There's a Starbucks inside it, and a great bakery too. Everyone here has been welcoming and kind to me, even though I just moved here from California. The employees are friendly , professional, and quick to help a customer. I saw one of them, i think his name was Devin? He has a red beard. While I was standing in the checkout line, i observed him as he saw an elderly man out in the parking lot who was struggling with his groceries. He immediately rushed out to help the very grateful old man. It's seeing things like this that make me happy that i moved here, close to this QFC. Y'all get 5 stars plus 50 more for truly caring about all the Earthlings that walk through your doors.
Things constantly mislabeled or in the wrong spot or price is wrong. I bought women products for my wife this morning. A 32 pck was labeled 4.99 and a 42 pack labeled 5.99. I bought the 32 pack and still got charged 5.99. This happens ALL the time at this store (Port Hadlock) all the time. It's so bad that I'm curious how they get away with it. My friend bought razors there, and though they are sold in a box (not separately) they were labeled "per" not "per blade." Very, very misleading. PAY ATTENTION PEOPLE !!!
QFC is a good place to go get essentials and last minute grocery items. I appreciate that they have a propane exchange as well. I would day shopping for the month i would advise going to Walmart or WINCO. I also was frustrated to go in later in the evening to get some scratch tickets abd the machine is shut down at 10pm every night, staff told me it was because the bookkeeper prefers it that way. That doesn't feel like a good enough reason to not allow customers access to this product since there is no where else open at that time of night. That's why i have 4 stars instead of 5.
New store manager Kelly has really made some nice changes, thank you Kelly! Staff are friendlier, the store looks cleaner, well stocked, great overall feel. Jamie in floral has done a really nice job, great variety of arrangements for the holidays. Produce and meat depts are well stocked too. Thanks to all of you, we appreciate what you bring to our community.
Pharmacy service was awful. They told us over the phone that our rx was being processed, but when we got there, in fact they were out of stock so we wasted our time. They then blamed the physician for ordering a medication that was out of stock! Rude and incompetent.
Great to have them a short distance from our home. Pharmacy, too. The meat department has a large selection of seafood, and the butchers are friendly. The produce is lovely. Very busy during the holidays. Prices are fair to high at this time.
It's a fantastic supermarket. The photo shown here isn't the actual store, it's an older building but the store has been maintained fine over the years. We purchased supplies for a picnic from the deli and used the convenient self check. QFC is a long-time, local PNW terrific grocery chain corporately owned by Kroger, one of my favorites.
i love shopping here. the food? GREAT! the service? GREAT! the employees? GREAT! the aisles? GREAT! the cleanliness? GREAT! the atmosphere? GREAT! but.. the !... in qfc... IT STANDS FOR QUEER!!! GGGGRRRAAAAGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Customer service at this store is amazing, every is friendly a d very helpful. I left 2 bags of groceries in a cart and got all the way home to Quilcene to discover 90% of my shopping was left behind. I called and they said come back and if they can't find the lost items and I had my receipt they would replace the missing items as they work on the honor and trust system (can't find that around very often)... Turns out one of the staff found my items and kept them in the back for me.... I was very grateful for them doing that :-)
The store is great. Staff is great. The bathrooms always seem messy. Today the needles container had been pried open, and left. The roll to dry your hands with is on the back of the toilet with no lid and the water to wash with was cold the whole time.
Prices have increased but there are many items- milk Cheerios fruits veggies and others - u can count on to be in stock. We buy all our veggies here. Lots of selection for coffee, many types of cheese, bread. Customer service is helpful. sometimes there are too few cashiers
I am what you would call a regular customer. Over 25 years of shopping here, learning new employees names and faces, even becoming good friends with a few of them.
My only REAL complaint is the occasional 'updating' that QFC seems to do every 3 years or so.
But having to put up with a new layout of products (and trying to remember where things should be)is a small price to pay for an always clean, always well lit shopping experience.
Unfortunately I suffer from a number of public phobias and socially related disorders that has and always will be a factor when I shop, anywhere. Being in a safe, calm and fairly quiet enviroment can mean the difference between finishing my shopping or leaving without even making it to checkout.
The staff are not always as friendly as I want them to be, but they are doing a complex and difficult job and its easy to see why not everyone can be a Suzy Sunshine or Bob the blissful. lol
Bathrooms are never in a state of unclean or nasty. Floors are always well maintained when its muddy and raining.
Keep up the excellent work people, some of us, a LOT of us are very pleased at your efforts.
