Jason gave me a fair estimate for a drive belt and pulley replacement. Unfortunately he never did it. After two no call/no show cancelations at the shop I decided to stop trying. Jason said he had an emergency and had to cancel without warning the first time. When he called me the day after that missed appointment I asked him to call me if anything else came up for our next appointment. Once again I was left with another cancelation and no phone call at 9AM on a Monday. Very frustrating to deal with, and disrespectful of people's time.
A big shout out and thank you to Jason at Coupeville Auto Repair for fitting this out-of-towner into the schedule and repairing a hanging splash shield on our borrowed car.
My car started making scary sounds on the way to the campground and I was grateful to my friends for driving me to this place. We all felt that the shop and guys put off great vibes (and cool cars!).
They are all booked up and wouldn't have time to work on it for a couple of weeks (sign of a good shop, eh?) but Noah took time to rescue me and came out to give my baby a listen and took the time to figure out what was making the sound -- rust on the new brake rotors, not a safety problem, phew! He didn't make me feel like an idiot for being a worrywort.
The whole wonderful experience made me love Whidbey Island and Coupville more than ever. Thank you, Noah and his boss.
These guys were very helpful. I had a weird tire problem and they gave it their best shot but I ended up having to go up the road to oak harbor. But the guys here were super helpful and good natured.
They fixed our car. But they part of the body of the car and did not even tell us that they broke it. I had to go talk to them about it. Not really sure about letting them fix what they broke.
Had an old pickup. Had a couple things I wanted done. They were very helpful. And honest. Thought I needed brakes done. They were honest and instead of trying to add on more labor they didn’t and where I come from that’s rare. Thank you very much. Will recommend to everyone I know.
Coupeville Auto there's nothing you can really say about them people great service always helpful they are a mom and pop shop I have been going there since 1992 and I do highly recommend them as far as getting your car fixed they are one of my favorites
Excellent service. Made an appointment, since I didn't have an urgent issue. They found something that had been neglected by the dealership and took care of me same day. I appreciated the quality service and great value. Will be back!
Marty and his guys are the most honest mechanics we have ever used. My wife had a Chrysler 200 with recurring issues i.e. design flaws, but not recall worthy. Had it serviced here several times when the mechanic finally suggested we'd be better off getting a new car than continually bringing it in. So we did. Traded in that POS. Marty and his guys are the only ones I let work on my rigs. Fair pricing. Honest men. A rare thing in this day and age.
Once again I found myself out of town and needing an emergency repair on my truck. Marty and his crew kindly fit me into their booked-out schedule. I was in and out in an hour and a half with a new clutch fan at a very reasonable price. Thank you, Marty and crew, for a job well done...much appreciated!

This place is a scam they changed my friends catalytic converter and then kept his old one and told him it was worthless when everyone knows that a lie plus they charged him 2500 to fix his car when it was just the cat
I was quoted $68. for a service, then charged $102. There are no set prices for services, just whatever the old man feels like charging at the time. I advise going elsewhere. Don't waste your time or money here. They deserve ZERO stars!!
Marty, the owner, has been terrific. He's been super patient with me, informative and had been a blessing through the whole ordeal. Definitely recommend giving him a try.
I have had one car that has almost 193,000 miles on it and Marty Robinett has always been able to fix or replace any problem part. I can't ask for more than that.
Everything is done in a professional way they try to find the problem solve the problem and get you back on your way as soon as possible and they let you know was what the problem is before fixing it so you can make the decision if you want it fixed or not
Fast service and exceptional customer support! The owner was very kind. I dropped my car off and the next day it was ready with a new starter! I'm very pleased with the outcome and all around great people!
Marty and his helper were really great taking care of a problem I had with my alternator and two battery system. They gave me lots of help and were able to order an unusual battery from Napa in order to get it to me within just a few hours. Coupeville is such a small town I thought I'd be stuck for a long while but they helped get me on my way and gave me confidence that everything would be sorted out. They are great.
