We didn’t stay in the resort. Sol Duc Hot Springs open to visitors. So the rate is for the hot spring only. They have three hot spring pools besides a regular swimming pool. We went there during family summer vacation. We had a good time there together.

It is in a beautiful location and was central to places we wanted to visit in Olympic National Park. There were a couple of minor issues, but nothing that would keep me from returning here for another stay. The hot springs were very relaxing and there was a regular pool so you could vary between the hot springs and a cold dip (we visited in September). The staff were friendly and helpful. It was very enjoyable!

I actually love this place. Which is why I recommended so much. I feel really frustrated and tricked Buy the unclear website. My poor friends, who flew out all the way here from Georgia to visit me while I was in hospice care. Wanted to do something special on a day that was their anniversary. So of course, I gathered all the information. Tell them exactly what they would need, they prepared for the cold weather, and drove all the way up there only to find it closed. That’s a long drive on a very special important day to find out that a place that says they’re open with huge big font… And then later I come to scroll down and find super tiny font with an operating season. That is not inclusive of today. So why do you say you’re open if you’re not open?! In my opinion, you owe both of my friends, plane, tickets and gas money and an entire weekend comped at your resort for their anniversary. Gross.

We stayed here for one night in early October and it was over $300. The cabin was really nice and clean, but we stayed other places that were nicer for less money. The restaurant was very basic, overpriced, and the food was not great. The hot springs were extremely crowded and in our opinion over rated. We hiked to the falls and that was beautiful. All in all it was a nice location, but I'd recommend just hiking to the falls and leaving, unless the hot springs are a must do for you.

I only enjoy the hot springs, although the last sesion, the water was barely warm and it was awful. No discounts were given. I would be super upset if I got there and the water was barely warm. We were heading out and this was during our last sesion. The shower water was barely worn. Everyone was cold and miserable! The room is decent, somewhat clean. Not visibly dirty but there was a long spiderweb from our light to the ceiling. I have been there several times so came prepared. The cabins are super expensive with little camodities. Clean bed, table, Basics line bathroom and running water with soap. And a keureg. Not even a microwave. Did not eat at the restaurant, food is decent but everything is pricey. Ok service, cannot complain about anything specific except for the lukewarm water, but nothing great t For their prices. It is a beautiful nature place though and I enjoy it, so go back about once a year or so.

Its a really nice and tranquil place but there is no wifi, no phones, no connection to anyone so it can be really tough if you have a problem and the office is closed. We came in late because I flew all the way from Massachusetts the same day and by the time I got there the desk was closed. They left my keys taped to the outside of the lobby door so that was a releif but when we got to the cabin the keys wouldn't work. It was pouring and there was no one around to help and with no phones, no service, no wifi... it was almost a nightmare and i paid over $300 for one night. I finally had to resort to breaking in through an unlocked window to gain access to the cabin I paid for. It was not very safe to jump up through a window in the pouring rain, pitch black, but there was no other way and absolutly no one around to help. It was espially important because i brought a friend that is terminally ill so we had no other choice... there was no driving back the 2.5 hours to his place... his breathing machine had to be plugged in.... this could have been so bad if the window was locked. There should be a better system in the event something happens like this. It definately had a negative impact on my stay for sure and i think it could be very dangerous to have no way to contact anyone... even the front desk or maintence... in the event of an emergency this could cost lives. The scenery is beautiful and the hot springs are amazing... especially since the pools are wheelchair accessable... but the potetential danger of not even having a landline in each cabin if you are staying overnight is especially concerning. At the very least they should have an emergency landline acessable to everyone 24/7 that doesnt get locked up at 9pm.

I only used the hot springs, but there isn't anywhere to leave a separate review about it. It was perfect after a day of hiking in October when it was still cold and raining outside because I didn't get overheated. Showers/restrooms were fairly clean, there was a lot of foot traffic so I don't expect 100% especially with the government shut down happening I'm sure that affects their staff. However, the staff working the desk were friendly and explained the process to me (easy: shower before, go during your allotted time frame). Be sure to remove any jewelry you don't want tarnished (they warned me too), hot springs have high sulfur content which is what will turn your jewelry black/blue.

Location is unbeatable, hiking in the area is, in my opinion, some of the most beautiful in the world. My grandma and I were traveling together and although she has limited mobility, she was able to do everything she wanted to while at the resort. Service was incredible from everyone that my grandma and I interacted with. The rooms are rustic, but they’re advertised as such. My main gripes are the quality of the food for the price and the overcrowding of the pools. The crowds of shrieking children got a bit intense for both of us.

You get your own small cabin, which is cozy and warm, but zero frills, which I didn’t mind. The location is beautiful, quiet, and dark, and the staff are happy to be there and happy to help. The hot springs were comfortable and friendly, albeit a bit dirty, since they lean into the natural feeling a bit.

Great place to unwind and unplug. It was a stop along our route. The pools are nice but a little dirty- lots of floating things and the sulfur smell is very strong. Clean cabins and nice staff, the gift shop is great too.

I went in Oct. Sunday was busy. Monday was calm and relaxing. I rented a cabin. Pros: the mattress was spotless. The sheets were clean. They provide towels in the cabin and extra for the pools. Lots of trails around. A coffee kiosk is connected to the resort. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The pools are relaxing with nature around. No wifi/phone service, a true get away. Cons: Cabin had mold, spiders, and a pile of dead nats around the window. Pools had hair, mold, and tree items. I did not see "cleaning" during pool closing times. Could use a net cleaning. The policy is no smoking, but I smelt pot at the neighboring cabin and cigarette at the entrance of the resort. The main goal is to relax, so I advise a weekday in October. It is a good place to relax during a weekday if you enjoy the outdoors. Overall, good. I went home relaxed.

The rooms were plain with dirt and debris on floor, corners in bathroom dirty. Bathroom sink missing stopper no microwave or mini refrigerator. For $310.00 per night should be provided in each room. No internet for guests, should at least provide WIFI code, but staff has access. First time in hotsprings, smelled of sulfur lots of floating things in water. We went in hotspring after arriving and were in only 15 minutes and the staff kicked everyone out. Just know the hotsprings are open to general public so alot of people in pools. I will not be returning. I will find a hotspring that you have to hike to, to avoid the crowds and "bigger" people. I liked location next to river and up in the "woods".

We had a delightful overnight at Sol Duc Lodge. We soaked just after we arrived and then again after check out. The rooms were simple, but cozy. It had everything necessary for comfort — a soft bed, ample towels, in-room coffee, warm lighting, and the quiet stillness that only comes from being far off the beaten path. The Lodge has a decent restaurant, but with limited hours, so pay heed! We packed up after breakfast and walked over to the trailhead to hike up to Mink Lake. It was a perfect excursion after enjoying the hot springs and a quick lap in the cold plunge pool. Ideally I think one might want to stay two nights to get more time in the pools.

A few weeks ago, I made a trip with a church group. A number of us stayed at Sol Duc Inn. 2 of us stayed specifically in Cabin 116. Unfortunately, BOTH of us woke the first morning covered with a significant number of bright red, very itchy bites, over body, chest, arms and legs.|A few days later, at home, the bites were diagnosed by my physician, as typical of BED BUG bites. Medication was ordered, and subsequently, I chose to do an expensive , preventative treatment to my home , to be sure that no critters or eggs were carried home in suitcases or bags. ||We notified management. They denied any issues, and stated that they checked the cabin, and provide routine Orkin pest service. ||Just giving advice, and warning..Beware. Check rooms carefully . Read up on bed bugs. ||Otherwise, the Inn was lovely..the rustic old cabins looked clean, the food in the small dining room was good, and the hot springs pools were crowded, but fun to use! But I’m not sure I would return.

I have been visiting Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort since the early 90s. We've always had good experience with what this facility offered. My recent visit to the facility with my relatives from another country disappointed and embarrassed me and my wife. We drove 3 hours to get to this facility which is beautifully nestled in the middle of Hoh Rain Forest and were ready to soak in the hot pools but the facility was not adequately heated to the point where my wife refused to change into her bathing suit because the temperature of the shower room was the same as outside. The upper windows were open so the temperature of the shower room was equal to the outside, 43 degrees F. This was a couple of weeks prior to its seasonal closure but the facility should continue with the provision of adequate heating in the changing and shower area. I was extremely disappointed and embarrassed as my wife and another guests declined to change into bathing suit because the rooms were too cold. It was a very long trip back home needless to say.

The only real downside was the overpriced food, but that's to be expected at this kind of place. It's a really awesome place, but something just felt lacking. Pets are allowed, but I felt bad having to leave my dog in the room the whole time. The restaurant was quaint, but full of cold drafts. The hot springs are awesome and the nature views are fantastic. I would love to give this place five stars, but it needs to improve a little before I can do that.

We had a wonderful time at Sol Duc Hot Springs! In our opinion, some of the best hiking on the Olympic Peninsula is right here — we hiked up to Mink Lake this time and it was another great trip. The hot springs are always a treat after a good hike. For the price of the room, we felt it could have been a little cleaner, but overall the experience was still very enjoyable. If you want to avoid the crowds, definitely go to the earliest soaking session they offer — it makes all the difference!

The hot springs are fantastic..... until you get in and see all the junk in the water. We still enjoyed ourselves but definitely took a shower afterwards. The changing rooms were clean enough. They do provide swim diapers for little kids!

Hot springs were a nice soak, until you look in the water and see lint balls, hair and god knows what else. One word to describe the whole experience GROSS. The pools were packed, shoulder to shoulder with yapping tourists/kids, no room to sit n relax. I wouldn’t recommend. Over priced for the poor quality.

A slice of heaven! We did not go to hot springs but they looked wonderful. Breakfast was delish! Yummy fresh berries over hot oatmeal and fresh orange juice. Would definitely come back! Very comfortable beds and clean cabin.

First time at a managed hot springs resort. Check-in and out was way to do. Staying at the resort gives you an extra clean towel for each day of your stay. The two hot springs mineral pools were nice. The fresh water pool was very chilly, but pleasant once you lose all feeling in your arms and legs. The resort really needs better pathways from the showers to the pool. Stepping on gravelled concrete is hard on bare feet. The room was clean and nice. Stayed in a kitchen cabin and brought some food to prepare light meals. Quiet and a good to disconnect from the Internet while on vacation.

Location is amazing. Rooms were gross: dirty, beds old, paper thin walls, kitchenette with 1 cup, 1 bowl and three plates? Pools were gross: filthy water with hair, debris and don't want to think what else. Showers filthy and no soap. Food was good and waitress nice. Too bad it isn't a better experience... wouldn't take that much to clean it all up.

We rented a cabin at Sol Duc and enjoyed the soaking pools. Our cabin was basic but it was fine. I gave the bathroom and the table a good wipe down. The beds were clean and comfortable but the floors had some dust bunnies on them. The cabins could use a good clean behind the furniture too. (('m a neat nik). We enjoyed the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The food was good and presented in a attractive manner. We wished we had stayed for 2 nights!

The resort is located right in the middle of the beautiful Olympic National Park. We loved it. The hot springs are nice to soak in but as the pools are small they are extremely crowded. The on site store has only very limited food and drinks if you miss the restaurant hours. We didn't plan well with bringing those from home. Also, we should have brought some playing cards or games as there is no TV or WIFI. We didn't realize how isolated you are in that area and there is no WIFI signal around til you get back onto hwy 101. Clear nights are beautiful for star gazing. Overall a great location and would return.

10 out of 10 recommend this resort! We had a great time, the property is beautiful, and being able to sit in the Hot Springs. Every night was a wonderful unique opportunity. We rented a cabin for three of us- we had plenty of room and was within walking distance of the Hot Springs and gift shop. The restaurant had great food and the gift shop had plenty of options. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who asks !

We visited the Hot Springs in August during a three day adventure into the Olympic national Forest and rented a campsite here at Sol Duc. The entire layout was very organized and dispersed well. The location for the lodge was incredible with views of the mountain in the background, and the fog made it look even cooler! To enter the Hot Springs, it was incredibly well priced and featured queen locker/shower rooms, as well as covered area to hang towels outside. The pools were clean and the size of the heated swimming pool was impressive, really did the body wonders to get the hot/cool therapy, felt the most relaxed afterwards! The lifeguard on duty, whose name was Grey it was very nice and helped me out when I had questions. The hot breakfast was well appreciated on our journey. We will definitely come back any time of year as the rain we experienced made soaking in the tubs unique; how cool would it be with snow?!

The scenery is gorgeous. The pools are very nice. The dressing rooms leave a lot to be desired. The floors were slippery and slimy and there weren't enough mats. There were no hooks on the walls to hang anything so you had to put everything on wet benches. There were even any hooks at the showers. At the end of our session there was a long line of ladies waiting to get into the 6 showers. Still, it's definitely worth the side trip. The hike to the waterfalls is stunning.

Absolutely sweet cabin right on the river. All to yourselves! Cabin is clean , beds are deluxe with soft sheets and comfortable mattress, birds sing in the morning and the rivers gentle flow soothes you to sleep at night. We loved the evening pool session, stars twinkled above us as folks talked and reviewed their day with one another. Adult camp in the woods, perfect!!! There were children about during the earlier hours, so it is also very family friendly.

It was such a wonderful experience! We visited with our two young children and only used the hot springs. There were several pools with different water temperatures, which was great, and the one at the far end was large enough for swimming. The first warm pool had a slight sulfur smell, likely because it’s a natural hot spring—just something to keep in mind. The usage time was limited to an hour and a half, which felt a bit short, but it was still amazing to enjoy such pools inside a national park

Hot Springs Only - Overall okay. I've visited other hot springs and had wonderful experiences. This one wasn't great. The pools are wonderfully warm and I enjoyed the small glimpse of the clouds over the mountain. They do limit the number of guests in each timed slot, but we were all shoulder to shoulder in the main two pools (the third hot spring pool is less than a foot deep). The sulphuric smell was strong. Be prepared for that, especially if you have a sensitive nose. The women's locker room was chaos. Way too small for the number of people admitted. I left everything in the car except for our towels. We ended up leaving a bit early so we were able to rinse off without a crowd but it was madness when we were there early and saw the last group leaving. They do have lockers available, but they don't actually lock. It would also be great if they had a large clock by the front desk. Many people didn't have their phones on them and the front desk attendant seemed bothered when I asked the time.
