This is a great service to the community. When he's there he is very friendly and helpful. Not sure why dropping off your junk metal for free isn't good enough for you whiny jags.....
They dont offer any services except allowing you to drop off your metal for free. They dont offer anything else and there isnt even anyone there to help.
Coming from Wisconsin, where scrap always has a bit of value, the setup here is a total shock. In the PNW, it feels like they just expect you to give your scrap away for free, which is pretty ridiculous in my opinion.
The real issue is when you try to buy something back off the yard. He’ll take your metal for absolutely nothing, but then turn around and try to charge a premium price for parts or scrap that he got for free. It’s a bit of a 'sticker shock' and feels like a one-way street. If you're looking for a fair trade or a decent price on used metal, you might want to look elsewhere. It’s a convenient drop-off if you just want to get rid of junk, but don't expect the same 'scrap value' mindset we have back in the Midwest.
