What a loooong, challenging day. 🤯 As I was traveling a long distance, my car had a cyclinder misfire, which caused it to shake. I stayed on the side of the road and asked the Napa Auto Parts/V.C. store for guidance. And I managed to drive my car to the store. Everyone was soooo helpful. I was able to wait inside and away from possible danger, while they worked on my car. Thank you so much for keeping me calm and safe throughout the whole experience. I made it home! 🙂🙃🙂🙃🙂 Author A. John and his wife were amazing. Not only did they keep their store open 30 minutes after they were supposed to go to a family function but instead they helped us. They were the kindest people I've ever met that's ran a store that deals with people all day. My husband offered them a $20 for just helping with the warranty company and replacing my battery but they turned it down. It was even after 6pm when we were done! If you're in Prince George or Waverly or neighboring counties and need something worked on OR NEED A PART PLEASE CHECK THEM OUT! THIS MAY SEEM A BIT EXTREME! BUT THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND!!!!!

Van Cleef is awesome! I have relied on them for the past three years and they never disappoint. The prices are just one good thing about this location. They are always so quick to get me in and taken care of! The employees are extremely kind and understanding! I will always call Van Cleef.

Absolute scam with no cares to give. We had a company driver slip into a ditch 1.5 miles from their place of business. Our driver caused the issue and we needed help to get him winched from the ditch he was in. The unit had to be winched from the ditch and then just needed to have the fuel system primed on the side of the road after the winch so our driver could drive away, but they said they had to tow it to the yard as it need to be removed from the road. Total time to respond to the call, winch, and tow to the yard was approximately 2 hours. Vehicle was primed and running an hour after the unit was towed to the yard so a total service time of 3 hours. We were happy with the service in a bad situation and then received a bill for $12,700!!! I had disputed this as professionally as possible and advised I appreciated the help but the charge was a minimum of $10,000 to $11,000 over what could be considered fair and reasonable. Their response was to pay the invoice or be charged an additional $300/day for storage. DO NOT call them if you are in a vulnerable situation! They will take advantage of you and not have a care about it.

I regard Van Cleef as my partner in car care. The mechanics are long time neighbors and friends who treat my car like their own. The folks at the front are friendly and professional. Grateful they are in town!

These scammers deserve a special place in hell!!!! towed my wrecked up right staying truck for 10 miles and charging us $15,000 for it!! This place is worst call anyone but these guys. Clearly they took advantage of someone who had a bad day and made it 1000x worse. I hope you all will experience this same issue and get treated the same way.

I had a blown coolant pump stuck on the road on Sunday morning in the parking lot and the owner and his wife were not open, but came by the store just by chance. They took great care of me and got me a new coolant pump to get me home. I can't thank them enough! God Bless!

I dropped my car at 8am, and they waited til 3pm to look at it, first they told me that they can’t use the part that I bought, they have to buy and use their own parts, I said okay. Then they called me around 3pm to tell me that they can’t find the right door panel needed, therefore they can’t fix the door for me. Yet they charged me 198$ for labor. They charged me 198$ just to tell me that they cannot fix it. I feel like I’ve been robbed. Please be aware of this. This is unbelievable.

I have been using VanCleefs for years for all of my automobile questions, concerns and repairs. I have always been treated very well by everyone there, the service is great, and the mechanics are very knowledgeable and will to explain things in detail.

I had all great things to say about this shop until it was time to fix their mistake. Pray this never happens to anyone else. Thankful for an insurance company who is helping take care of this issue and a family owned business who fixed Van Cleef’s mistake. I work for a auto parts company. I spoke so highly of Napa and Van Cleef.. But never in my life would I let one of my companies team members treat a customer like I was treated by John. Disappointed. He wanted to talk to me until I asked for him to speak to the owner of the shop that fixed their mistake then he wanted to get off the line. So thankful this was an out of town shop I used and I never have to deal with them again!

This is a very nice place to go get anything you need for your car or truck. They have parking place for truck. In sad very helpful people to help you get anything you need. And worth a smile. Stopping in and see what I am talking about.

My car was towed by this company. Called to pick car up and was told they were closed. Website said they were still open. Horrible experience with tow driver. Had to wait 2 days to get my car back and take a day off work. I guess this was there way of ripping me off for more money. I never want to deal with this company ever again. Will wait 2 hours for another company to come from 10 buck 2 before I deal with this company .

They had my car for some work and came in under the quote they gave me. Very honest and trustworthy shop in a small town. Owner works there everyday. Good small town feel. Mechanics know what they are doing and they took care of me on a defective part. Would recommend them.

I was headed to Va Beach for the day and decided to take the "scenic" route down Routes 460, 58, etc. to the beach from Amelia, Va. I was just past Disputanta, Va. when my battery charge light came on in my car. I immediately went into panic mode! Called my son and he suggested I find the nearest auto parts place so they can diagnose the problem. My co-worker who was with me found a NAPA store that was 4 miles ahead. As soon as I try to turn into the NAPA store, my steering wheel felt like it was locked. My son said "Your serpentine belt has broke." John Pearson, the NAPA store owner, came out and checked the car. He pulled the shredded belt from the motor, confirmed it was my serpentine belt and from there he went to work! He checked my pulleys to make sure they were ok while his wife Wendy looked in the NAPA inventory only to find out they do not have the part in the store. Luckily, we found the belt at the Hopewell location and Brian from the Hopewell location had someone to bring the part over to the Waverly location. Little did I know, Mr. Pearson also owned the shop next door and his mechanic was able to put the belt on and get me back on the road in time to enjoy a little salt water and sunshine at the beach! I am so thankful and humbly grateful to the owners, John and Wendy Pearson for putting up with me in panic mode and saving the day! True heroes and really good people to do business with. If I lived closer, they would get all of my auto business so all I can do to help them in return is give a wonderful review of their business and what they did for me. I am truly grateful for business owners in this world that go out of their way to help a customer and John and Wendy are true examples of this! My God continue to Bless them and their business.

Terrible experience! Bought 4 tires from them. One picked up a nail and they plugged it saying it couldn't be patched from the inside. Plug did not last. The tires are 4 years old but only 15000 miles. After 4 phone calls over a weeks period I finally got someone that was to take care and order a new tire. Was given a price 25.00 higher than anyone else, but they are closer by 30 miles. She told me she would order it (Tuesday) but it wouldn't be there until Thursday. She set an appt for Fri at 1:30. I was there, Gave the counter person my name and appt time and what was to be done. He looked puzzled! After 10 min a person picked up my keys and took the truck to the garage. I sat for a half hour and finally asked how much longer and was then asked what is the tire size. I explained that it was supposedly specially ordered and was to be there yesterday. Never got ordered, No one knew anything! I did have a State Inspection done and when I complained about the time frame for installing a non existent tire and inspection, I was told that the insp takes 45 minutes. I have had inspection done annually for 12 years, longest was 15 minutes. Back in Oct I had called them for a tow truck. My truck wouldn't start. As he pulled up it started. Paid 125.00 for his drive, no tow. Took 4 months to get a receipt for insurance. Had many promises they would email it. Finally picked it up along with a bill for the inspection which included 27.38 for 2 wiper blades.

We had a flat on a sea container chasis over an hour from our yard. This was the first time doing business with Van Cleef. They took care of us quickly and provided excellent customer service. Dispatch was quick and to the point. You didn't have to answer 100 questions.

Great small town store with knowledgeable and friendly staff. The owner was there and I found out they are a family owned business. He helped me find what I needed. Also, they have a shop if you need any repairs you can’t tackle on your own. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.
