This is the worst auction I've ever been to in my life. I've been here since 10:00 in the morning, it's now 4:30 in the afternoon, and they still haven't . My appointment was supposed to be 12:00 am at noon. I'm still here now; this place is a dump. Trash
The staff is extremely rude. Absolutely zero customer service skills or communication skills. We called and were told we could come clean out our car and when we showed up the lady completely dismissed us and said we were not allowed the car hasn't been processed yet even though that man on the phone said it had. They she had the audacity to tell us we needed to call ahead of time. WE DID !
One of the workers was drunk on the job and blew in my breathlizer and when I asked for simple paperwork proving the had the car both manger took unexpected leave and who knows when will be back
Got into an accident and had to have my Car towed here. This is one of the most horrible run businesses I've ever seen with incompetent management and petty thieves working for them. Went to go collect the things out of my car and noticed a tablet I had hanging off the passenger headrest was missing. The manager Wanda is almost entirely useless. They said they would be starting "investigation" But they were the ones that stole it so I have no doubt the investigation will turn nothing up. Avoid doing business with this place whatever you can they are lazy, criminals, and not even worth the time of day. I will be filing a police report and if there is any update, I will update this review.
Update* Shocker their investigation turned up nothing and they stole some shoes I had in the back as well. An entire staff of absolute garbage people from the top down.
Copart in Hampton has really done a turn around. I used to dred going there because of the wait time. Now they do a great job in getting you in and out in a quick and safe manor. A lot of that has to do with the loader Chris coming back to work there. He gets us loaded quickly and safely and he knows most of the drivers by name. Always says hi when we arrive. So yeah 5 stars for Hampton Copart staff. Every aspect has improved alot. Keep up the good work
Copart Hampton has a reputation for being notoriously slow with loading vehicles, but the forklift operator "Chris" is always rolling and getting our trucks loaded as fast as possible! He's always a great guy to deal with at this location!

Was forced to work with this company after an accident. They seemed completely incapable of following simple directions. Gave them a phone number to call and they continue to call the wrong number. They don’t respond to any emails. Holding up my claim and payment. I tried to just call them and the person who answered seemed like it was his first day….on the planet. They asked if they could call me back and guess what….they never did. Why USAA continues to do business with this company is beyond me.
This is by far the worse Copart in USA and they know that . Wait time is crazy . not because they busy just because they want . Manager dont care .Brought they attention numerous times . Idk what has to happen but this place never change .
This place is terrible, the employees are rude and not helpful at all. Been here for almost 6 hours and have not been loaded yet. Talked to other drivers and they’ve had the same experience. Other copart around the country are not like this. It’s terrible service, management should be changed or this place should be closed permanently.
The ladies here at Copart have gone above and beyond! They diligently assisted me with retrieving my parents license plates with a kind, and cordial manner! They we unbelievably helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Absolute worst car loading on the planet. Be prepared to wait 4-5 hours if you are lucky. I've never seen a copart ran this badly and it's been like this for years. I wish I was rich so I could buy that location, replace management, and then sell it for a loss.
For the love of God if you work there call another location and ask them for Jesus.
My truck was towed to Hampton Co part to complete the insurance investigation post accident and be processed for a owner retain. After waiting 2.5hrs+ to retrieve my vehicle It was ransacked and had multiple items stolen from it while sitting under insurance investigation in the yard. Upon notification the GM did note that he saw his employees taking items out of my truck on camera. The GM did rightfully replace the items that were stolen. I would avoid Hampton Co Part at all costs going forward until a massive shift in culture, accountability, and discipline has been regularly noted.
I've been here 5 times already. Not once have I waited less than 1.5 hours. I would understand if the issue was due to the excessive workload of Copart by transporters. But the fact is that when there are at least 5 trucks in the loading zone waiting for their vehicles, the forklift operator is nowhere to be found for 20 minutes. There's just no one around. They absolutely don't care about anything. They are very slow. They cancel appointments. Just know this and be prepared.
This place does not deserve any stars, the general manager of this place is very disgusting, they have no consideration for people and they do not care about making truckers wait. It is one of the worst places in Copart. they expect you to tip them 10-20 dollars and the general manager does not take any measures to solve this problem
Slower than slow. This yard is the black hole! Ridiculous amount of countless hours spent to get cars. So many truck waiting next to each other. No space to load it’s an accident waiting to happen. Management runs “full forks operation” which is a waist of time. At the end of the day they still have to load everyone that has appointments. They could load the trucks let them go and then finish up their yard work at the end of the day but they choose to keep it crowded. Sometimes it gets so bad even forklifts get stuck in traffic. Not sure if this review will help anyone one or maybe get some management attention so something will change for better. Hope so PS Fredericksburg Copart branch had same issues before but management over there had it fixed and now it’s quick and easy.
2 o’clock appointment and I’m still waiting at 6. (Supposed to close at 5) If you have nothing better to do come sit in this hot dusty parking lot pondering your life choices while employees mosey around like they have all day. Half the forklifts were sitting the entire time. The operators were moving cars to the back of the yard instead of picking cars for the haulers. Very disappointing experience!
The employees are definitely milking the clock for overtime. I don’t know how upper management doesn’t see this for what it is.
An entrepreneur could make bank setting up a taco truck here selling food and drinks, with an outhouse or 2 hanging off the back
Not even 1 star. Horrible, horrible ,horrible!!!The worst location from all the Coparts! The office along with the supervisor don't care about drivers, don't respect people ,cancel appointments when they want making drivers waiting for another day. If you, office, would be treated this way, would you like it? Be polite and respectful to drivers who work so hard! I am addressing this issue to the state's attention as well!
I came to pick up a car from this copart. I've been waiting for more than 4 hours for it to load. they work very slowly. All staff need to be fired and new ones hired. Don't forget to take food and water so you don't die waiting for loading. here you can open a cafe and make money from drivers waiting for loading. changing business area
It's only 1 star because you can't rate lower than this. This is the most mismanaged Copart location in the northeast. Drivers are required to wait 3-4 hours to pick up vehicles from that place. Appointments are not honored there. Forklift operators are the slowest and definitely enjoy their overtime because this location stay open way over 5pm. No facilities for drivers , no management to adress the issues. If you are a dispatcher make sure you leave 3-4 hours for the pick up there. If You are a trucker, make sure you got food and water because you can't leave while wailting. If you have other appointments for sure You will miss them. Same crew for last year same excuses , 1 good and fast guy who was working there for 2 months already left ,so everything back to normal. Unbelievable that nobody even try to adress this situation at that branch.
Still lack of personnel, and people working here are doing other thing besides helping you, like the guy in the loader, talking to a friend therefore not helping me
Very disappointed with how they treated my personal items. Almost everything was put in the bed of my truck exposed to the weather. Also was used as a trash bin for miscellaneous junk. Not sure why my floor mats had be taken out. They claim to protect my privacy.
Not many of them are that good. They office staff has no motivation and poor customer service. You just never know what youll get. I ve visited quite a few of these and every 1 out of 20 times is a good experience. I AA is much better. If you have a choice dont spend a day wasting time at a copart. They even have an appointment system that they use and still are late on moving the stock. This one even further inconveniences you by blocking the entrance/exit with a vehicle so you have to wait for a tow motor to move it , even once youre loaded you must still wait. I m sure that is some sort of violation, surely a moral one!
I have been trying to put zero stars for a long time, but I wasn’t allowed to do it. Lost here for 2 hours waiting. I think two more to come. mega slow. but if you have nothing to do and need to spend 3 hours of your life. then you are here. you've come to the right place!
