Top of the Line in every imaginable category!! I can not say enough good things about this business. They not only got me (single woman driving an RV) into their busy schedule when my RV quit a mile away, but but gave me my repair options within an hour, and proceeded on spot to get the parts overnight. I knew exactly what I was dealing with the same day. Super friendly and knowledgeable guys. What really put them over the top was offering for me to stay in my RV, on their grounds, overnight. Saved me hotel and rental car. And, they didn't stop there!! The head guy (can't remember his name) made it a point to check and make sure that I had dinner!! Part came in first thing in the morning, they got right on to the repair, and I was on my way before noon. Oh My Goodness. This is so much more then a super caring, knowledible, efficient and friendly business, this is REAL kind and considerate people. I simply can not say enough good things about this wonderful business.

if i could give this place 0 stars i would. Never take your car there i tried to go here to get a inspection on my car. they failed it because the rotors were rusted and my marker light needed to be fixed.when i took my car to my mechanic he found that they took the marker light out of MY CAR. i tried to schedule an appointment and they told me they were “painting” that day (even though rejections go first) they said they couldn’t get me in after i tried for days to try to come back. EVEN AFTER I WAS SCAMMED i still gave them a chance. By the way this is the girl with the pink hair!:)

I was on vacation when my radiator cracked and my fans stopped working — a stressful situation far from home. Thankfully, I found Wymers Auto Care, and Dana, Justin, and the rest of the team were absolutely amazing. From the moment I called, Dana was professional, kind, and understanding of my situation. They quickly diagnosed the problem, explained everything clearly, and got right to work. Despite me being from out of town, they treated me like a regular customer and went above and beyond to get me back on the road safely. The repair was done quickly and at a fair price. Their honesty and care gave me peace of mind when I needed it most. I can’t recommend Wymers Auto Care highly enough — if you’re ever in the area and need reliable auto service, this is the place to go!

My boyfriend and I , travel with our 45ft toy hauler everywhere. We had an axel bust on our travels. We were very lucky to stop at Wymers. They ordered our axel, and fixed our home .. not only that, but they let us stay in our RV while we waited for the parts to come in.. I thank God we broke down near Wymers .. so thank you from the bottom of our hearts ...

Wymer's takes care of your car, simple as that. Easy to schedule and appointment and they're crazy fast and thorough with their state inspections-even offering to help me remedy a small violation to make the car roadworthy in VA. The techs are up front and will talk through what you need, which is getting harder and harder to find-I'm not an idiot, aim just not the expert with a garage lift so I appreciate the transparency!

I have had a few great experiences over the last couple months with Wymers. Things that I already knew were wrong with the vehicle, they pointed out (even though not what I brought it in for at the time) and were more than fair on their prices. I love the honesty. They got us done in within a few days.. on some major work, where other places were scheduling weeks out. I will now take all of my vehicles here. Thanks Wymers

Great service. Had a tire repaired. Some services in the area wanted more than $150.00 to come out and put a plug in my tire. I greatfully declined their services. I put my spare tire on my car and while I was doing that, my wife found Wymers. I took my flat tire to them and they put a plug in it and charged me only $10.00. Thanks for your great service.

We have taken our vehicles to Wymers for inspections and oil changes and most recently my husband took our older model 70’s truck and they took care of everything and let us know what needed done and how much it would be. Timely, professional and reliable.

For honest, efficient, and prompt service. Wymers Auto Repair is the place to go. My doctor appointment was completed soon than I had anticipated this morning, so not wanting to drive back to Fort Valley and out for my 11 o’clock appointment I arrived at 9:45 just telling them not rushing them. Just letting them know that I was there and I didn’t mind waiting knew my appointment was at 11, 10 minutes later Justin came and got my vehicle and I was on my way. And the price was great. The owner is a dishonest man, who wasted a week of valuable time promising to fix a timing chain. In the end, he never even started. I expressed annoyance upon finding this out (at the time he said it would be completed) - and he parked my truck out front, unlocked with keys inside, and told me to pick it up. Found out later that the price he had quoted was about a thousand dollars more than the standard quoted by other mechanics, so it worked out, except for the wasted week which forced me to take time off from work while grounded with no vehicle. In either case, it is clear that the Wymer group are overpriced, petty minded, and dishonest. Go to Markleys or someone else.

Will not come here again. Wymer himself was rude, unprofessional, and terse, while I was polite and amicable. My VA Safety Inspection itself was completed quickly for a good price ($20), but the staff interaction was horrible. I arrived a minute early for my previously scheduled appointment at 1pm. No one was in the office, so I yelled into the garage to get their attention. Wymer said “He’ll get to you when he’s done.” I heard them loudly complain about me in the garage, and had to yell in again before they told me a time estimate of 15 minutes (1:25pm). At 1:24pm, I brought the keys to the office, but they had begun to service the car of someone who had arrived After me, so I had to wait. Additionally none of the staff were wearing masks during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic (highest case numbers so far), even indoors or in my car, and there were no signs about masking or social distancing. Mainly due to the very rude personnel and subpar customer treatment, I will not bring my car here in the future.

I bought a 99 Subaru forester, which at the time seemed to run great, come to find out during inspection it failed horribly, because the underside required a lot of work. The first shop we went to was a bit out of our range. Someone had recommended Wymer’s for our camping van, because it was too big for most other bays, but wymers could take it. Since they had our van, we decided to bring this lovely gold digging car of mine to wymers too. They not only offered a better price, but he was kind enough to work with us on some of the additional work needed too. after taking her home, we decided to do the spark plugs and air filter ourselves due to budget constraints and it was an easier DIY than the other stuff it needed. When we called with questions regarding some oil we found, he answered them and reassured us that it was fine to continue. there was no telling when they were last changed and they just did the valve cover and cleaned it, so it should be fine. The car feels even better now. the ac condenser is next on the list, but again we reached our spending limit on her (and somehow she still won’t leave). this will be a DIY as well, and again even though they werent doing the work, they answered the questions I had about it. Anyway, these guys are hard workers and very knowledgeable. They will see to it that you’ll get what you need taken care of. I’m pleased with how well my car’s getting on right now (minus AC).

I took my vehicle to Wymer’s for a transmission and transfer case replacement. I purchased used parts with a warranty and when I dropped these parts off I spoke with the owner Chuck. I told him I wanted all the seals replaced, he agreed and said he would get them from ford because they’re better seals. Their shop did the work and the only communication from them was about replacing other parts. Less than one week after picking up my vehicle it has several leaks from the seals that Chuck and his crew neglected to replace after I specifically requested it. His defense is that he personally inspected them.. clearly he doesn’t know what he’s doing. I told him I wanted them replaced and when he finally gave me a quote it was 1275 dollars, he originally quoted me 1200 to completely replace the trans and transfer case in the beginning. So this business if you can even call it that wants to charge me another 1275 dollars to do work he already agreed to and neglected to do! He’s a crook and if Wymer’s was the last garage in town I would go buy a bicycle! Don’t use this guy for anything!

I’ve known Chuck Wymer and his wife to be generous supporters of various community programs and organizations, so when I needed some work done to my car I knew I wanted to support a company that supports their community. I’m glad I did. They got the job done for a fair price and very quickly. No waiting on parts or surprises. I highly recommend Wymer Auto Repair.

The transmission was giving us issues on a road trip…it overheated on the ramp to Loves at 3 in the morning. We called these guys up and they got on it first thing that morning…they had us back on the road within 45 minutes. If you’re ever stranded at this exit definitely come to these guys

I would never recommend this business to anyone.I was given a estimate to repair my car of $ 1520.00 and when I picked my car up it was taken apart and I was charged $134.55 for that and nothing fixed at that point. I went to a different shop in Harrisonburg and got my car fixed for $258.55 for the entire job with a warranty for the window for as long as I own my vehicle. Total rip-off

Riding down interstate 81 our oil pan skid plate fell off. It was making all kinds of racket, because the Toyota dealer in Roanoke had forgotten to replace the bolts to attach it. 😳 Thank God for Weimer‘s auto repair and for the great mechanic names Justin who removed it told us the problem and even did a video explaining it to the Toyota dealership so they would have to pay for it A+ plus. Honest. Good people

I cannot thank this shop enough for all of their help yesterday! I was traveling from SC to PA alone with my 2 kids and my transmission blew. I was JUST able to make it into their driveway when it completely stopped working. They towed me up, checked it out and gave me an assessment right away and then even had Henry come and drive me and my children to enterprise. Henry was a Godsend and went above and beyond to make sure my kids and I were taken care of and in a new vehicle before having me follow him back to the shop to collect my things. EVERYONE was so helpful and compassionate to my situation which was pretty scary to be stranded with 2 kids 5 hours from my home/husband. Thank you again for everything, and to Henry you have no idea how appreciated everything you did is! HIGHLY recommend Wymers!

I had the great fortune of landing here at Wymer's last Friday when my car broke down coming up I-81. The customer service and human kindness shown to me was above measure. Henry, Chuck, and Justin were awesome and helped me in my time of need! Thank you and you know I love you all! Chuck Wymer is dishonest. Do not go here! He charged me $80 to look at my van, and he told me I needed a new transmission. He told me my transmission fluid was full. He told me it wouldn’t drive out of the shop and that I would need to buy a new transmission through him or I couldn’t get my vehicle. I included a photo of his bill. This was a lie! I had it towed… it actually drove perfectly fine.. I brought it to another shop and my fluid was actually very low because my fluid lines were leaking. I had those replaced and it fixed everything. He either never checked the fluid or he did and lied about it. I now have my van and it drives perfectly. Thank goodness I brought it to another shop!

I am writing this review to warn you about Chuck Wymer and his dishonest approach to running his business. I brought in my Chrysler Town&Country because the RPM was going up to 6000 when I drove above 40mph. The car felt and sounded like it was revving in first gear. I brought it into Wymer’s immediately. He evaluated it, called me back and told me I needed to buy a new transmission through him for $5k, and that to replace some brake pads and rotors it would be $600. I asked him if he had checked the transmission fluid. He said “yes, it was full”. He told me that my break fluid was black and that I must have been driving it with my emergency break on. I decided to bring it to Bill’s Transmission Specialist in Woodstock (which Chuck Wymer insisted I must have it towed there, so I paid for that too). Amazing service there — good, honest people. There was nothing wrong with the transmission. My transmission fluid was 2 quarts low. I have recently learned of a few more people I know who were charged on their card twice by Wymer (and he never informed them) and who were lied to by him. I paid Wymer $187 for him to lie to me about my vehicle and to have it unnecessarily towed. AVOID THIS SHOP

We lucked out breaking down so close to this quality repair shop. Friendly and attentive service. Took time to explain what was wrong with the car. Charged slightly less than the estimate and got the job done in less time than quoted. I don’t plan to breakdown in Strasburg again, but if you do, best get yourself to Wymers!

Do not bring your car here, especially for an inspection. I was told I needed rear tires, and after I had new rear tires put on, and brought it back to them, 1 week and less than 200 miles later, I was told I needed front tires too. When I said they should of told me that the first time, the owner/boss lit into me about how it wasn’t like that the first time, and how I’d driven it 1000 miles or “hit something”. All lies to cover their mistake. I quit actually having them fix my car a couple of years ago because I had a terrible customer service experience with them, now I’ll actually drive the extra twenty miles to get it inspected somewhere else too. Worst customer service I’ve experienced in the valley, and that’s saying something.

The team at Wymers is absolutely outstanding. I had a boat trailer break down while I was driving 12 hours north to NY. I limped into their shop on 3 wheels having no idea where I was or what I was walking into. The staff was immediately helpful and started tracking parts down for the repair. They ended up having to work through several different vendors to track everything down to get me back up and running. I can’t thank them enough for making a nightmare situation as painless as possible.

I took my aunt's car in for an oil change. She had an appointment and they took her car in right on time. They were quick and professional. Although an oil change is something fairly simple that I could have done myself, I would go there again. This is due to the fact that they charged $30. Considering that isn't much over the cost of the oil and the filter and that they check many other things while your there and let you know of any other issues you may be having it is well worth it to let them do it while you stay out of the grease and oil that goes along with working on your automobile.
