My friend and I went over to AutoZone to get battery cables for her car, when asking the gentlemen there, they acted as if they had no clue and didn't even offer to at least peek outside to see the car in selecting the correct cables ( you would think they'd know) so, we went over to Advance, and they were absolutely excellent! Not only did they act professionally but was able to correct the problem by cleaning the terminals and made sure there was a secure connection. Thank you Michael Hammer for your help, we really appreciated it so much!
Needed new wiper blades, the gentleman working the counter told me the size for my truck and installed them for me! In 5 minutes I was on my way home with new wiper blades installed. Great service!!!
Excellent attitude of personnel working in this store. Very knowledgeable, scanned my car engine in a few minutes, found the part I needed immediately. I recommend this store.
I'd like to thank Colin and Hammer of the timberville location. I was from out of state and far from home. While traveling my alternator went out and they both helped me find a alternator I could use and a battery as well as tools to get it fixed on the side of the road. I can't thank you enough for helping me and my family get back on track and home!!!!!

The chic working knew what she was doing, as she was workin on some big dudes vehicle before I went inside. I didn't need assistance for seat covers and a window shade, but I was in and out in a jiffy.
I went to advance auto because my rear light was out on my x3 at least I thought it was a light but it wasn’t thanks to Tom that was very professional and very knowledgeable he went above and beyond and helped me figure out the problem... I would definitely recommend this place.
Went there twice already today. Each time i was met with a greeting as I entered the store. (dispite them being busy the second time i went back.) Each time they had exactly what i was looking for. The first time an older gentelmen helped me, he also suggested an additional essential part (which isn't provided by the parts manufacturers.) The second was a young lady who helped me. After given her the car information, she got the part number and went straight to the part no searching.
Overall very helpful. I made two trips because i forgot something nothing the staff did wrong.
I am inexperienced in purchasing parts for my car, so looked up what I needed online before going in. Unbeknownst to me, the information I was provided was not 100% correct, but April was awesome in helping me sort it out. She caught the mistakes before I made the purchase. She also helped me get the best deal, and made sure I was taking advantage of the sales for what I needed. Plus, she installed my wiper blades for me before I got back on the road. April was very courteous, and helpful! I’d definitely recommend coming here.
Love going into Advance Auto parts, just to look around. I shopped here in Timberville, VA and found everything I needed before getting back on the road. Great place to shop for all car needs.

We stopped in the Advanced Auto Center 2 get our check engine light looked at with the machine that they have. They informed us that their machine was broken and had been broken for several months but that we could go to the Harrisonburg Advance Auto Center and use theirs. I was very disappointed since this Advance Auto was only 3 miles from our home and Harrisonburg is about 12. I would think that if their machine have been broken for a few months they would get it fixed. What an inconvenience
Horrible customer service and return policies... We bought a new fan for our son's car and was assured it was the right one. When we got it home, wrong size so we drive all the way back to exchange it and they wouldn't take it back, said it looked like it had been hooked up. It was the wrong size, we couldn't have hooked it up and we explained that. Still wouldn't take it back.. So we are out $70.00 and have to pay another $70.00 to get the right one. Also to go along with all of this yesterday my Husband took his truck there to get his electrical system checked because something is draining his battery, they told him it was his battery so he bought a new $150.00 battery and this morning it was completely dead..
Needless to say, we are driving to Harrisonburg to Auto Zone to get what we need and will never go back to Advanced Auto again.
There service is very poor not only did i have to pre pay for a 30 dollar part they didn't have! I went there two times in a row a hour after the said part was supposed to be there only to be told it go left on the truck....not to mention there are always several people in the back and only one person helping piss poor management
New policy denying return on headlight replacement bulbs unopened mind you is sheer genius if you plan to lose customers as a goal ;( won't go to one again period
My husbands' bike broke down on the interstate about 12 minutes away at 830p at night. He was able to get to Advance but once he got there the employee on shift (8/18/2017) had terrible customer service and was extremely rude about my husband arriving for parts so late. Then, my husband asked for a ride back to his broke down bike on the interstate the employee had 0 sympathy and offered 0 help in the situation and was more worried about closing the store.
Understanding it's late at night, the employee could have offered more assistance or sympathy given the situation. Customer service is everything, especially when it's a situation such as my husband's. If there was any other store open, we would have chosen it over this location. They may be a great company, but they need to work on their employee's mutual care.
I stole all the Elmer's glue l could eat and 😁 coke to drink and they offer discounts if you don't run out the door first or there shoot watch out 2 nd amendment merica'
