My a/c blower was not working and I didn’t have any air flow inside my car. Steve got the parts and replaced it with an hour!! Best part is he’s a nice person and trustworthy!! His shop is super clean too!! If you’re in need of car repairs this is your guy!!

Had my car for years on an engine swap. Told them I wanted a 5.7ls factory w/ warranty for my car or 5.3 built ls w/ warranty. It took multiple years for them to get the job done with no communication from them. I had to make every attempt at communication and now since my car has sat there so long additional problems have come along that weren't there before. THESE THINGS DID NOT HAPPEN before I took the car to them. I'd say you are better off not doing engine swaps with them. Car ran poorly for about a week and doesn't run now.
Great service and price the auto mechanic I had for 20 years decided to retire and sent all his customers to Steve and that says a lot about his business and a great person.

I can’t recommend this place enough! Honest and go above and beyond! This was my first time here. I went for an inspection and I had an air bag light on. The mechanic looked up to see if it was a recall after scanning the code. Him and the lady up front took the time out of their day to call the dealership to check the recall. When they said it wasn’t covered, they called corporate Kia and got it investigated more. They got it situated and found it under recall coverage. Most places would be dishonest and tell you it was an issue and charge you an arm and a leg to fix it.The mechanic even said if it wasn’t covered and it was going to be too expensive he would search junk yards for a cheaper part for me. They went above and beyond to help! Everybody that works there is so nice, friendly and helpful. I will definitely be a repeat customer!
Many times dealing with automobile problems is not a pleasant task. When I walked into the building for the first time I found that the staff and clients were a community of people who seem to love care and respect one another. I met Mr Richardson and was thoroughly impressed with his character and friendliness. The lady at the desk was friendly and helpful. I was able to see the garage area and it was kept immaculately clean and a neat. They used mats on the floor of the car even though I only went in for an inspection and an oil change. I heard some conversations and the technicians seem to be very knowledgeable in their profession. The waiting area was very clean and comfortable. They charges for more than reasonable for the work that was done. When I left there I felt like I had met some new friends. It was one of the best business experiences that I have ever had. Thank you Richardson's and keep up the good work. I will be back.
Rare! I was traveling through Roanoke on my way to Thanksgiving with family. My Diesel Turbo went out on Thanksgiving Day. The next morning, I called 13 places trying to get someone to look my engine. One of the people told me the only hope I had would be Richardson.
Sure enough, I received a call back from Steve just after my voicemail on Friday after Thanksgiving. He met me at his shop and got me back on the road that very same day. He could have charged me 10 or 20 times what he did and it would have still been worth it. But he was so reasonable that I was almost embarrassed at how affordable and how easy he made it to work with him. A spectacular example of Christianity and christ-like service in action. I wish I lived here just so I would have him available as a friend and my mechanic.
My husband and I were on a road trip from Chattanooga and when we were visiting Roanoke he noticed the battery voltage meter going low. I cannot even say enough nice words about Steve and his customer service. We knew right away that he was honest about the repair. Fortunately, he was able to get us in right away and what I thought would be a horrible experience on the road turned out to be pleasant. I wished his shop was closer, because that is someone I would continue to use in the future!
Steve was recommended to me by another garage due to I needed more extensive engine work, I had never met Steve nor heard of his garage, but I can tell you it is the BEST hands I could have been in. I got everything from battery, roters, brakes, spark plugs, tires to a new engine and all involved with that, I am very pleased with all and everything that was done to save my little 2000 honda, I have been driving the car for 2 weeks now and absolutely no issues at all and the fact that the one thing he requested of me was that I bring the car back in 500 miles that he wanted to check the car over, that told me he is looking out for my best interest! In my opinion that speaks volume...I will be going back to Richardson Mechanical and I Will Highly Recommend them to Anyone....

"PROFESSIONALS, KIND & HONEST" are the words I will use to describe their work and business. I drive a German car and repairs on them are very expensive and tricky. The technical knowledge Steve has is an incredible asset! He actually makes time to look into your car and find a solution. The best part about him is that he wants to learn and work with you to buy the correct parts. I always had to tell the service dealers to be careful with my car but here it's a different story. I never had to tell them anything. Steve had replaced the front bumper protector, Engine splash shield, Inner fenders (Left & Right), Radiator Core Assembly, Trunk Latch, oil change, and performed a correct wheel alignment along with tire rotation. I went to Firestone back in January for installing new tires and wheel alignment. They did an awful job! Really bad! The front wheels would start vibrating when driving over 70 MPH. Steve here added the right weights and made it correct. Customer service is extremely nice. Heather is a real Sweetheart. She will make you feel welcome, very friendly, and responsive. I appreciate them giving me a regular update even late night at 11:54 PM. They never charged me a dime for diagnostics, unlike the Volkswagen Service Dealer who would charge a fee of minimum 200$. Yesterday, on my way back, I got a check engine light on my dash. Steve made time for me on the weekend and cleared the code for free! I am very happy to finally find a Garage that does not try to rip you off like the service centers and other garages. Thank you, Steve & Heather! I'll be BACK!
