My wife had the misfortune of going into a steep ditch to avoid an oncoming vehicle crossing the center lane. Needed a jump for a hybrid battery, called several other tow companies that all either wanted to tow instead or charge extra for hybrid. Fat Boys was recommended by the car dealer. Mike came by and got the car started up in no time. Reasonable fee and answered my questions as to buying a new battery.
Excellent experience with this company, especially Seth. I live back in the sticks and my car was unable to start so it had to be towed from my house. Seth came out TWICE and made sure he had the right equipment to get it done. I was super impressed with his determination to solve the problem and get the car up my driveway to my road. I honestly do not think anyone else would have had the success he did. Such a job well done!

So I used Fat Boys the first time maybe 10 years ago and it was the best towing experience ever. I can't describe how perfect that call was. Perfection. Based on that, they have always been in my mind when towing is involved. Recently I recommended them to a guy that bought a non-driving car from me. Day of the tow, the driver was prompt and ready to go except, he "Don't drive on grass". The driver informed me he could only tow from the road. Ok. I know better but let's go with it. I asked if he can winch it out of the "Grass" but he didn't have enough cable. We are talking about 40 feet here. Not sure how a towing company can set such limits but let's assume they do now. Businesses can change the way they run sometimes. Next, I offer to use my SUV to deliver it to the road and the driver is good with that. He then lent me a 50 chain to pull it out. Think about it. Anyway, I move the car to the asphalt and he used his rollback as expected. So here is the perfect review, pro-rated for the not perfect service of the 2nd experience. I assume wrecks are frequently "in the grass". What do they do for those? Anyway... I may or may not use them again. Not sure.
Excellent service!! I needed a jump for my battery. Called Geico and was put in touch with Fat Boys Wrecker Service. The mechanic called when he was a few minutes away, arrived not too long after I requested service, and got my car going in no time. He was also quite knowledgeable and answered all my questions, providing helpful advice. Will definitely be using these guys again.

Called Fat Boys towing late on Thursday night to tow my McLaren since it went dead on 81. Came out in a timely manner and James was a very nice experienced and knowledgeable tow truck driver. Towing a car this low is not easy and he was very patient and good. Absolutely no scraping getting it on and off the rollback. Best experience I have had with a towing company. Price was very fair also. Would highly recommend. They definitely made a bad night a whole lot better by being so good. Thanks for getting me off 81!
James and Fat Boys were great to deal with. They came and got my Expedition out of a tight parking lot, then safely delivered it to my home, backing their large flatbed into a very tight driveway. The tow truck couldn’t be fully backed into my narrow driveway to deposit my truck beside my garage, where I could repair it (it was no longer starting), but James the driver, a seasoned handler, got it off the inclined flatbed with enough rolling velocity to get it back to where I needed it parked. Perfect! What more could you ask? James himself was simply a great guy and a pleasure to meet. Friendly, careful, cool, and an expert. You can rest assured you’re in good hands with Fat Boys. Flat tire on Sunday morning. Roadside assistance notified me 1 minute after contacted that Fat Boys was on the way. Less than 30 minutes later Noah arrived and had me on my way in 15 minutes. Great service!
I was in a panic today when my truck broke down! I was scared and didn’t really know what to do except for call a towing company. I called Fat Boys and the woman who answered the phone was so nice and helpful! She was able to get someone out to me in 25 minutes!!!! Everyone was extremely nice and professional! I hope I never have to get a vehicle towed again but if I do I will always go back to them!!
Wish I could give them more than 5 stars! From the dispatcher taking care of us on the phone at midnight to the driver getting our RV to the shop, it almost made our RV breaking down worth it just to interact with these folks. I was having a great day, and then my day went straight downhill when my vehicle stopped. I called fat boys towing. Loaded my vehicle to the auto repair shop. They were very professional and very reasonable in their price. I'll plan on using them in the future for all my vehicle towing needs. And I would highly recommend them to anybody that is having a bad day. Awesome job. Unfortunately I did not catch the driver's name. What a big shout out to him too.
These guys saved us. We thought we had an issue with a key fob that the car didn't recognize anymore and had to have our car towed to the dealership. That would have left us stranded in Roanoke. Instead of just doing that, they had a look and found out it was the battery terminal. Towed the car to Firestone, who fixed it the next day. Made our lives SO MUCH easier. Thank you, Fat Boys!
Locked my keys in my car after work and couldn't get into my home because of it. It was 12:30am and they sent Aaron to come help me out. Getting into my car was a bit tricky so I give this guy a big round of applause. He was determined to get in there and I'm for real very thankful. We had a situation at 7 AM on a Saturday and needed to be at a cheer competition early that morning. All of my daughter’s cheer gear was in the locked car. I think it was Mike from Fat Boys who came to our house so quickly and in less than 10 minutes the car was unlocked. Fast, professional, efficient and reasonable. Highly recommend.
