Steve’s Automotive was fantastic!
While camping at Spacious Skies in Luray for our youngest daughter’s wedding, we had an issue with our tow vehicle. Steve took care of us right away and discovered we needed new front brakes, calipers, and rotors. Thankfully, he and his team got us taken care of quickly and safely back on the road.
Steve, his wife, and the staff are some of the kindest and most trustworthy people we’ve met. It’s hard to find an auto shop you can truly trust, but this one goes above and beyond. They’re caring, reasonable, and don’t try to nickel and dime you like so many others.

We broke down in the National Park and Steve came out to recover us.
Steve, his wife Carolyn and their team, worked tirelessly to replace the clutch and driveshaft on our European truck and got us back on the road. They are genuine, honest people who really care about their customers and their community. Their pricing is incredibly reasonable. We can’t imagine a better service anywhere!
We were visiting from out of town when my check engine and coolant warning lights came on. Steve answered the phone on a Sunday and got me in first thing Monday morning. He diagnosed the problem and found the part he needed… getting me in and out in a day. So thankful that he was able to help me quickly so we weren’t without a car for the rest of our trip!
I was recommended Steve's Towing through a family members coworker and the service he provided was an absolute five out of five stars. I am new to the area and when I talked to Steve on the phone he said he could be there in half an hour and he was on time possibly even a few minutes earlier. This was also on a weekend which was even more impressive to me how he got there so quickly. His pricing was extremely fair because the bill would have been at least twice the amount in the area I previously resided. I recommend Steve to anyone who needs his services. This shop is so wonderful that they are going on my Christmas card list. I have had so many challenging automotive or towing issues, and Steve has ALWAYS come through. He genuinely cares about his customers, and his wife and all of the guys in his shop are stellar humans too.
Steve has helped me with not only passenger vehicles, but with my motorhome and travel trailer too.
I jokingly call him my Best Friend, only I'm not actually joking. He has helped me out of some major jams, gone above and beyond for me, and I will be forever grateful to everyone affiliated with this shop for keeping me mobile when everything around me was breaking down, including my spirits.

Last year I was broke down. There was a gentleman in his car on his cell in the parking lot and he gave me the number to Steve’s and Steve was there in like maybe 10 mins. Very happy with his service.
We broke down coming up 211. I had a feeling our transmission was involved but confirmed our coolant reservoir had certainly cracked. I called our roadside assistance number who set us up with Steve and his assistant, Dennis. They came out with a semi tow truck and safely towed us, our pets and our truck and trailer directly to our site in the campground we stayed at a few miles away. The great thing is we didn't have to pay for the truck since only our RV was covered for assistance as Steve got us a "two for one" deal! When he mentioned owned a diesel shop and could help, I thankfully agreed for him to tow our truck to his shop (ironically only a few miles from our campground). Unfortunately for us, our transmission had failed but Steve and his wife, Carolyn, were able to source us a Jasper transmission the next day. They had us up and running within three days, new transmission, fixed coolant issue and overall check over. Super friendly, professional, caring and compassionate, I will gladly make the two hour trip for Steve and his crew to service our truck again. Highly recommended! My father-in-law was stuck 2 miles from his house and his insurance company said it would take 2 hours to get to him. We called Steve's and he was there in 10 minutes. Highly recommend.
Steve was so so kind and helpful. We had to get towed off the mountain late at night. He kindly helped us not only with our car including repairs but also helped us find accommodations to stay the night. Price was reasonable
Steve's towed me out of a snow bank on Skyline Drive. Showed up when they said they would, courteous and efficient, and stayed on site until I was safely away. I hope I never get stuck in snow in April again, but if I do, I'll call these guys.

He went above and beyond in ensuring that I was given a tow within a reasonable amount of time and that I was given superior customer service. Prices for their services were fair. I would gladly work with this towing company again.
AAA directed me to Steve’s and they came and towed me down from an overlook in Shenandoah National Park for a blown out tire. Got there before the expected time, were extremely friendly, got my tire changed and I was on the road again. If you’re stuck in a jam - I highly recommend!!
I can't say enough about how great Steve's Auto and Towing is! Our van with camper in tow broke down 5 miles from our campsite. Steve answered for AAA, loaded the van, then towed our camper to our campsite. He went out of his way searching for the part that broke, and finally manufactured one! The bill was very reasonable, and I would not hesitate to recommend him and his business to anyone. A true gem who helps restore your faith in humanity :).
Got stuck on a snowy mountain and Steve's Auto & Towing came to our rescue and tow us down. Very friendly and quick service, definitely recommend if you end up in a similiar jam in the Shenandoah area!
They had the truck for over a week and charged almost $300. Then had the same problem within 3 days of getting it back. They towed it and had it over 2 weeks and still didn't fix it. I got it back and the same day I got it back it still had the same problem. All they did was charge alot of money and towing fees and didn't fix anything!!!!!!

These guys are fantastic! We got our RV stuck on a Friday evening and these guys were a life saver. They were very careful with our rig and got us unstuck in no time. Additionally, they could have overcharged us as we were at their mercy and the final invoice was less than I thought it would be. I hope I never have to use these guys again but if you do they would come with the highest rating from me. Great group of guys!
