When you steal someone’s car when they need it the most, hold it hostage, charge them $207 to get it back, and ruin their whole day… the least thing you can do is be nice when they talk to you.

I called them to tell them that a car was in a disabled space and they weren’t disabled to be towed and they basically hung up on me. Said no we’re not coming and hung up on me. If you rent with a apartment company that uses this company then you should stop renting from there and look into who is enforcing your parking at the next place.

Absolutely wouldn't have chosen this agency!!! Unfortunately I was in a bad accident and the police department is who contacted the towing company. Charged $$$ for the towing PLUS convenced my family member to sign over the car them....so they will make $$$ on the scrap. Absolutely Preditory!!!!

update: it has been 4 months, & i still haven't been contacted by their damages department about the $2500 in damages they have caused. i have done further research because i am in the process of seeking legal action... the research has concluded that this is a janky business in multiple aspects. Such as their registered agent address is someoe's home in Chesapeake, VA, & there's no information about that agent anywhere online. Beware of this company!
if i could leave ZERO stars, that would make this review much better. (i will say the guy who opened the tow yard for me was very sweet, but everyone else i encountered was extremely rude). it’s obvious that a bunch of imbeciles are employed here. everyone you talk to gives you different answers or the run around hoping you will just give up. i’ve been told so many different things in regards to my car, who to talk to, whether or not i can dispute the charge, when i can talk to someone about the damages done to my car, etc. they’re also not accredited by the better business bureau. everyone needs to report them to VA dept of criminal justice services with regulatory affairs so they can lose their license to tow; their behavior & how they run business is unacceptable & is close to illegal.
& the women who are working in the office on Monday, September 1, 2025, are extremely rude & nasty. they lack customer service, and sound severely uneducated.
my car was towed by this excuse of a company on saturday because they claim i was parked “illegally” in a cul de sac in front of my cousins house, but according to chesapeake laws, it’s only illegal if i’m parked perpendicular and obstructing/blocking traffic. that was not the case with my car. they also have my car listed as a 2010 & black. my car is a 2017 & brown. two completely different body styles. the address where they claimed to pick up my car is not the location my car was. seems like it was made up to justify the towing.
when i needed to pick up my car, i had to wait at the tow yard for 2.5 hours for someone to come to the lot. my car couldn’t & didn’t make it all the way to my destination because severe damage has been done to my car by whomever towed it. my front bumper is coming off, & some other parts from the underbody are damaged or have fell off also. they have refused disputing the claim. & says i have to wait until someone from the damages dept can get back with me. the supervisor wouldn’t even acknowledge my concerns. she tried to argue with me saying if my car made it out the lot, there’s no damage, BUT I DIDNT MAKE IT HOME. that should let you know the car is damaged.Dec 03, 2025 -
Absolutely the worst towing company ever. Illegally towed my vehicle when I clearly had a parking sticker displayed. The woman office manager is rude and a liar. We have video of her employee opening the gate to the impound and acknowledging there was a sticker but wouldn’t release my vehicle till I paid $240.

My car got towed from my house that I pay mortgage. Correct decal, visible in the day and night, right location on my car. Decal should be displayed either Rear or Front windshield. Have videos that my car does have my decal and videos that he did not check my rear windshield. Went to location to pick up my car on a Sunday.. was told to display the decals when I get there to the tow person. Tow guy took a picture and sent it to his company to get a free release but was told that the free release place was closed and they could not get in contact with anyone then told to get in contact with my association to get in contact with the company to free release my car but they told her there was No decal on the car at the time which it clearly shows it was there. They stated they will not release my car with no payment. Even though it was their mistake. Worst company. And will be sued for stealing my car and for extortion

Absolutely the worst towing company I’ve ever dealt with. My vehicle was towed from my own residence immediately after I returned from active duty military orders. I didn’t even have time to get my parking pass because I had just gotten back from deployment, and the rental office was closed for the weekend. Instead of showing an ounce of understanding or basic human decency, they towed my car without hesitation.
When I called, I was met with zero empathy, zero flexibility, and the attitude of “not our problem” from every person I spoke with. They showed no respect for the fact that I had just come back from serving and did not even have $200 on hand because of the government shutdown impacting my pay.
This company operates with no compassion, no professionalism, and clearly no integrity. If you want your day ruined, your wallet drained, and to be treated like an inconvenience—this is the company to call.
I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone

This company is the lyingist outfit I have every endured. My daughters car was wrongfully towed from her place of employment, not their fault. Upon delivering it back to its assigned space the tow truck operator did alot of damage to the front end. There are cameras showing the driver having difficulty placing her vehicle into it's spot. Long story short. There was over $2000 worth of damage done, at no fault of her own. This company is refusing to pay for the repairs to be done. Beware, of using or recommending this tow service.

Illegally towed my boyfriend’s car. They were too lazy to check the parking pass sticker near the VIN, yet they still GOT the VIN so not sure how that works. Straight up wrongfully towed, and they STILL made him pay.
Lady on the phone said they don’t have a list of people who are authorized to park in the apartment complex and that they only check for parking decals… well if you got the VIN, then the parking decal is right in front of your face. Straight up just scammy behavior. Surely, they’re nice to people who actually need their car towed for specific reasons, but they’re rude to people they wrongfully tow.Oct 21, 2025 -
They steal your vehicle under the disguise of "illegal parking" while parked in my paid for parking spot at my apartment with sticker. I arrived there around 7 am waiting till 9 am for someone to show up. Once I was able to get to my truck. I find that my truck was unlocked and robbed of all of my power tools around 10,000 dollars worth. I will never use there services willingly. I'm almost certain it was an inside job. This company is all lies, deceit, and theft.

Waiting 2+ hours for the truck driver to give us our keys back. We’ve been sitting outside on the street, cold with no security or safety. First we were told that the driver was in va beach, then was told he was 5 mins away which turned to be a whole hour. Disrespectful and no regard for any person whose car has gotten towed. Do better.

After speaking to Scott today, my opinions changed drastically, whether it was still lack of communication which caused the bad review, however to explain explaining to him the situation and him listening to me I changed my mind on every view to a five star the only thing they need to do better is the communication other than that. I’m very happy with them to continue using them as a towing company

Affordable Towing is a fraudulent scam — they illegally towed both my cars, lied on the receipt, damaged my vehicles, and left me waiting 2.5 hours.
They took my cars from visitor parking, even though the property manager confirmed no decal was required. At first, they claimed I didn’t have a decal, then changed the story to say I was “double parked” — which was completely false. To make matters worse, the receipt they gave me lied about where the cars were towed from.
I had to wait 2.5 hours just to get my cars back, pay $415 plus $18.93 for an Uber, and also lost wages. When I asked for proof of their claims, they had none. My camera footage proves they were in the wrong, and my cars now have damage from their reckless towing.
This company is dishonest, unethical, and predatory. Avoid them at all costs.Oct 06, 2025 -
Bad Experience all around.
Left for work at 5 am to find my car missing out of the apartment parking lot. Mind you i’ve been staying here for months and have a recognizable car that is also registered with the apartments by plate. Check my tracking device to find it’s been towed 8 minutes away. I call the towing company (5:05 am) to be told that I did not have a parking pass and that’s why I got towed. I arrive to the parking lot as soon as possible and speak to 1 of 2 truck drivers currently present, I explain that my pass is displayed in the windshield and the apartments have my vehicle on file. The driver mostly blows me off and races off to his next tow. I call again (5:22 am) to see if there is someone I can speak to and show the parking pass in the car in order to get my car back free of charge, no hard feelings. I am told someone will be there shortly. I remain patient although I am already definitely going to be late for work. I call again after waiting for about 20 minutes (not necessarily “being there shortly”) to be told that someone is on the way with no real elaboration on when to expect someone or regard for anyone else’s time. Finally around 5:50, the same driver I talked to the first time shows up with another car. He lets me show him the pass in the front windshield, photographs it, acknowledges that he can see it, and proceeds to tell me that he is not able to make the call on whether I can leave free of charge or not. He says that I can either pay full price now and try to appeal later, or they can take my information down, I can wait and they can call me when the owner is awake and at work (around 8am via what the driver told me) Now admittedly, the pass was a little hard to see due to the fact it slid down a bit on my dashboard but the fact that it was still physically visible, I had been parking there for some time, and my vehicle was on file with my apartment complex, I went back home and waited, hoping there’d been some understanding and good customer service. I never received a call back like promised, I had to miss work, when I called them (9:42 am after being told I would be reached out to around 8am) inquiring about the decision on whether I would be getting my vehicle back due to the pass being present in the vehicle I was met with hostility and zero chance to plead my case although I remained patient and civil during every interaction with dispatchers and drivers. To top it all off, when I went to pick up my car after having to reach out again, I was met with another long wait (no one is on site) and spent it reading through the reviews just to find that it is a common practice for them to take peoples cars whether they have passes or not and will offer a “mistake” discount of paying half price (~$100) even if you are able to prove to them there was a pass present. I still ended up paying full price after all this. Ultimately a truly terrible experience. This company takes advantage of people, has no compassion, understanding, or hospitality, has no regard for anyone else’s time, will lie to you about wait times and contacting you. Being patient and polite will not be reciprocated by the dispatchers or people in charge. In my experience the drivers were not exactly rude but acted unconcerned and do whatever their bosses ask of them, right or wrong. If you live in an apartment you’d better hope that this is not the company they have a contract with. Unethical business practices, No understanding or doing right by their mistakes, and seemingly takes any chance they can for fast money. Enjoy the $207.50 you guys got from me. Do not use there services they are horrible, there were a bunch of other vehicles park in Starling Village that did not have apartment stickers on there cars but they decided to tow my husband truck with no warning in this economy they should be ashamed of them self's. I will be reporting yall to the better business bureau and 10 on your side and they also damaged my husband's truck

The Norfolk location is extremely hard to get your vehicle back from. They do not answer the phone when calling at 9am on a Friday. Waited outside of the office for 45 minutes trying to get my vehicle back. Again, 9am on a weekday….

I was gone for all of 5 mins. They towed my car stating that I needed a pass to park where I was. Absolutely nowhere stated I needed pass. And the two dudes were absurdly rude and disrespectful especially the one in the blue shirt

They towed my car from my job because they said I didn’t have a parking pass. There isn’t any signs stating that you need a pass to park here nor Is there a sign stating it’s private property. Both times that I called the women and man was both rude. The driver pulls up I tell him I’m here to get my car and he gives me an attitude . And it’s definitely not affordable cause why Is it $200 and my car was only there for 4 hours.

Towed my car and while unloading, pulled the splash guard out and damaged the bumper. This was after having to listen to the employee ramble on insufferably about the ethics of towing for 30 minutes. Filed a damage claim with the company and never heard back.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My car got towed and I realized it relatively quick. It said my car was parked for a total of 40 minutes. Within the 40 minutes of me leaving my car and my car being towed, it was severely damaged in the process. After arguing with everyone that my car was damaged in the process of their towing, they finally gave me a number to call about the damage they did to my car. So not only did I pay $230 to get my car, I received it damaged in the process. I couldn’t even open my driver door all the way due to what they did to my car.

I understand paying the impound fee for my 1 month expired inspection (from my paid parking spot and up to date tags)

this company will absolutely ruin your day. car got towed from my apartment parking lot. My parking pass was moved slightly and even though I had it they didn’t care. They came by at 6 am on Saturday morning. I moved into my apartment 2 days prior. I woke up and noticed the car was gone, called the number. The lady was unbelievably cold and didn’t give any information besides the price and location. Not if it needed to be cash, not if you needed proof of ownership, not if you needed your license. Nothing. I show up with my dad and call the line again. She is dry once again and says the driver will be there in 20 minutes. I called again after 45 minutes because the driver still wasn’t there. An hour and a half later the guy shows up. Their website says you can bring cash or card. The guy pulls up and says alright I’m taking $220 cash only. My dad says “what your website says card or cash” the guy goes “yeah don’t have the reader cash only” my dad goes “hold on shouldn’t your website clarify these things?” He goes “I didn’t want to the reader today.” My dad replies saying that’s ridiculous. And the guy goes “well cash only, go to the atm at 7/11”. I come back and the guy goes young lady you have the cash and I hand it to him. He replies to me and says “bad day huh”. I don’t interact with this man at all I gave him my money and left.
These people have zero manners or respect. They’re nasty through the phone and in person. They are lazy and a complete waste of time. The entire company is a joke and scam and needs to be shut down.May 06, 2025 -
This company doesn’t have a contract with my apartment complex. I have asked my rental office and the manager said they do not have a contract with this company so they are illegally towing cars. I am going to report them to the city of Norfolk Better Business Bureau. I understand people having a business but you have to do things the legal way. I live at this complex and it’s a rental car and if the management company says they are not legally able to tow then they have no right to tow on private property.

negative stars. police called this company after i got in an accident. we asked them the price to tow it to our house 2 cities away and they told us $235, ok fine. we give the go ahead and the address and they repeated it AND THE CITY name multiple times. we get home and got a call from them saying they were at an address that was on the same street name and we didn’t see them. they were in the city over with the same street name. they said they would get it over here so we asked if the price was still the same. the lady on the phone said $255. when questioned about the change, she said that earlier she had not accounted for the 2 city changes and wouldn’t take accountability and meet in the middle. an hour after that phone call (the place they were was only 30 minutes away), the driver, think his name was Darnell, yelled at my father about how he was “doing [us] a favor” because we were not wanting to pay more than what was originally agreed on and that he “wasn’t supposed to use the dolly” like we wanted as to not damage the vehicle further. absolutely horrible like all the reviews stated.

I would give 0 stars if I could. My husband left for work around 5 am and discovered that they towed my car in the middle of the night for not having a resident sticker, when one was clearly inside of the car. They conveniently bypassed all of the other vehicles in our complex without resident decals to grab mine with a decal. Once we arrived at the building, I, at 6 am and 8 months pregnant, was charged $100 (which apparently is “half” of what I would have had to pay) to get my car out, even after showing them the decal that they missed.
The staff wasn’t rude to me so I don’t have any complaints about the customer service, but it would be nice for the company to verify that the cars being towed are actually in violation of whatever parking policy, and not make customers pay for their mistakes. $180 to have my car towed because my parking pass was not “displayed correctly” I asked the lady to come look at the parking pass in the vehicle before I opened the door and she “did not feel like walking over” and told me if it was not displayed correctly. It was on the dashboard, in front of my clock in a little dip, so I guess it was too much of an angle for them to care that I had a parking pass. It’s tragic that people can legally get away with literally scamming people. I could never work for a company like this because it’s plain wrong.

This guy is a joke! I had to tell him multiple times to stop cursing in front of my 2 year old niece! He was rude from the moment we stopped him from leaving the parking lot! After speaking with my apartment complex it was discovered that he was illegally towing my friend’s car. This clown refused to give me his name because he knew he was illegally towing cars. What a joke!
