Not sure about their towing service. This is about their drivers being a danger on the road. This driver with tow truck #920 and plate 7688 at 520-25pm. I was driving already crossed over the street with my car letting the one car get in the left turning lane and here comes this long tow truck and blocks my access to the road and causing me to be stuck in the middle of the road where my car is on the ride side of the road but the other half was in oncoming traffic with 3 little girls in the backseat in the eye of direct contact! Then I had to weirdly maneuver to get around him and I must thank those drivers behind him who saw it and stayed far back so I could safely go around. I immediately get on the phone with his company and tell them what he did and while I was doing so…last I checked he was two cars behind me…next thing I know is he’s on the right lane next to me (while I’m sitting waiting to turn left into the neighborhood just honking a few times at me. I told the person on the phone did u hear that! That’s your employee! What was the need for that when I’m no where around him and he’s behind a few cars. The person on the phone claims he’s going to talk to him but I don’t know. I don’t feel safe as a resident driving around people especially company workers driving big vehicles inappropriately and having road rage. That’s a danger to the community! Especially after that accident on this same road not too long ago and same area he honked at me where the car crashed and blew up on fire. This is not safe! Take responsibility!

I am very thankful for their support. We were able to communicate like humans and not deal with "middle men" in the form of apps or people who barely following a script! The driver they sent out was very understanding and compassionate. The price was also very reasonable! If I ever need a tow again I would get them again without question.
I can not express enough how pleased I was with this company! They came faster than the estimated time, the driver ( I didnt catch his name) was very friendly and personable. They got rid of a 4yr headache for me in less than an hour. I cannot say enough good things about the entire experience. If I could give 10 stars, I would!
Tow truck driver Johnny showed up on time. Very friendly. Was moving my antique vehicle from One storage facility to another. He knew what he was doing and in no time the tow was done he treated my car like it was his own. Very pleased I would recommend this company for all your towing needs.
Had to tow my girlfriends truck from a dealership and Tim expertly maneuvered it out of the lot and delivered it safely too its destination for a reasonable charge.

These people were incredibly rude to my girlfriend when she scheduled a tow for one of our vehicles. She explained that the key was with me at the auto shop where I was supposed to meet them, and they said that was okay. However, when the truck arrived, they said they needed the key, and that she was "wasting their time." If this was an issue before, it should have been explained right then and there. Will not recommend their services. Do better and communicate with your customers and drivers.

After calling a couple of different towing services, I called Able Towing for a quote and I'm so glad I did. The man I spoke to on the phone (Tim) was friendly, courteous, and professional. I asked to be towed from 41st to 27th st, and my truck to be placed in my driveway. I receive a call stating he parked it in a vacant lot a block away from my house bc he couldn't block the traffic on 27th st... WHAT? I paid $100 to still have to get it towed from the vacant lot. So I had to get my truck towed by a different company who had no problem blocking traffic for a couple minutes. I will never call able towing again
I had a vehicle (Red 1992 Eagle Talon) towed from Norfolk to my house in Portsmouth. The whole process was PERFECT. I called in to request the tow and the dispatcher was helpful and professional. I gave my info and a desired time/location. The tow truck driver (who was also awesome) showed up on time and ready to roll. Got the car towed across cities and into my garage lickety-split in less than an hour. My garage is on a street that is narrow, and this guy maneuvered the truck around and popped the car in like it was nothing! The price for all this was shockingly good… Able Towing will be the FIRST business I call for towing needs in the future. Thank you!
Worst service I ever came across. They’re terrible as a company, they’re inconsistent, untruthful, and also not reasonable at all. If you’re looking for a good or even decent Towing company, I advise you to find one located in Chesapeake. They’re rarely there to begin with & The associates and owner of this Company are mainly in this business for there own self benefits off of clients including their own.
I contacted Able Towing Service to have a car towed. They were professional and clearly explained the price and schedule prior to booking. When the driver arrived, he was friendly and quickly completed the work. Overall, a great experience.

Quick response, great customer service and they communicate issues right away. I called during a holiday and the driver was met with gridlock on the highway. They gave me an update immediately and let me decide how to proceed. I will use them again

Most if not all of the bad reviews on here are probably people who are upset that their poor parking choices finally came back to bite them.
This is the only tow company I trust anymore. I have used them twice and both times they got to me in under an hour and charged an extremely reasonable price. Their drivers are very polite and easygoing so I felt safe riding with them.
If you plan on paying in cash let them know when you call because they understandably try not to carry change.
Horrible customer service. I called yesterday morning to get rid of a junk car and was told it couldn't be done that day (which is understandable). I'm told that I would be called the next day. The next afternoon I call them and tell them that someone took my information and said that they would call me, only to be told they know nothing about it, and I'm pretty sure it was the same person I talked to the prior morning who is telling me this. So now I have my information being taken a second time, and they gave me a quote yesterday but the guy says he has to run my information by some quote person which apparently didn't need to be done yesterday so I can be called back (which I'm sure probably won't even happen since it didn't the first time). That's just abysmally bad customer service.
Customer service is a term that is not known here at this place. Called for a town and specified to them exactly what was going on. After waiting almost 2 hour and not getting a phone call from the driver they finally show up. They show up with a pick up truck and a trailer for a motorcycle that looks like it was held together by duct tape and bubble gum. Seems from the dispatch lady to the drivers they really couldn't speak English well. So I proceeded to ask where me and my fiance's were going to sit for this tow. They replied with oh we are only authorized to travel with one person. I was never told that by didpatch. The drivers were completely rude and were stuffing their faces and trying to talk to me at the same time. They were completely unprofessional and got an attitude with me when I said I wouldn't just leave my bike with them. So they just hopped in their truck and drove off like ass holes laughing. Would never recommend this place to anyone.
My daughter got a flat tire on the way to ODU (got pushed into a curb by a semi) and I was an hour away. I called Able and they got there quickly and were able to change the tire instead of towing the vehicle. Their prices were very reasonable and they were very helpful. Nice to see good, honest business dealings!
I got a flat today. They towed my car and put a replacement tire on for a pretty decent price. And they did it all very quickly. It was about an hour from the time I called them until I drove out of the garage. And one of my other tires was low and they filled it for me. I was very satisfied with the service, and would definitely recommend to others!
