I would not recommend Big Daddy tow company to anyone. Their customer service is completely unprofessional and unreliable. They advertise themselves as a 24-hour business, yet they rarely answer their phone when help is needed most. On top of that, my property was damaged while in their care, and they showed no accountability or willingness to resolve the issue. To make matters worse, instead of assisting their customers, they penalize patrons for not understanding their confusing software system. Rather than offering guidance, they treat people with rudeness and indifference. This is unacceptable behavior from any business, let alone one that people rely on during stressful situations. This company’s lack of professionalism, poor communication, and disregard for customer property make them one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had.
This towing company is pure trash. I used my sons car for one night I registered the car for online to be parked and the nasty ppl towed it talking about it was in a residential spot. The lot is not labeled. I can’t wait for these ppl to go out of business!!!!
Towed my car from my assigned spot. Said it wasn’t registered. But that’s besides the point. Was told they would need 45 minutes notice to be at the store to get my car. I gave them notice 65 minutes ago. And I’m still waiting.
They towed the car I borrowed while my car was in the shop out of a parking spot I pay for monthly. When I called, I was told I should have "notified them" that a different car was going to be there. Where was this due diligence when there was an unauthorized car parked in my spot a week ago when I got home from work at 1AM and had nowhere to park? They only "make their rounds" when they cant make money anywhere else.
If you live in an apartment complex that uses this company . move. These guys have little to no regard for your personal property, and will damage it in a heartbeat. Three cars out of my complex that have been towed recently have had damage after making it to this companies lot. They’re not focused on the actual parking violations at these complexes, rather they’re more focused on that 150 release fee. If you watch their drivers tow, they back up to your car hook up to it and don’t even strap your car down and just take off and do 50 mile an hour and a 25 to get it back to the lot. Not to mention the ladies in the office, have a little to no regard for the fact that they are actually operating in a professional capacity. They will have conversations on their cell phone while conducting business with you, And the language they use with a customer, standing in front of them is absolutely absurd. I truly hope after all these bad reviews, this company has got, And all of the contracts, the owner of this company has lost in the towing industry because of his behavior and how his company is ran, This dude decides to just close the doors. Stay away from this company.

Very professional and was able to come in 15 minutes vs other tow company's that quoted over an hour. Thank you for your speedy service . For all of the 1 star reviews looks like reading is fundamental if your parking illegally or in a apartment complex that doesn't allow you to park there your issue is with yourself and maybe the apartment complex not the tow company he's doing his job. Even after reading the unwarranted reviews that this company has received I still called my car was undrivable. I have even had my car towed for parking in a apartment complex when I was younger and I shouldn't have I didn't take my frustration out on the company doing their job I took accountability for my short comings knowing I was in the wrong.

They said they took my car at 12am I noticed at 12:50am and still had me pay $200 and wait outside with my 7 month old until 2am they will tow you if you ever parked wrong

Big Daddy Towing Company towed my vehicle twice now by mistake! This causes real incovenience, especially we have a hectic schedule and I have a son with special needs! Also, this towing company is only open Monday - Friday from 8 am - 5 pm. By far, this is the worst towing company I’ve ever had to deal with!
Got towed after parking illegally. People at the place were friendly and helped me figure out Apple Pay (VISA not accepted - only American Express). Figuring out the company name that towed me was quite demeaning. Not sure which one is Mr. Daddy. Who is Mrs. Daddy? Many questions.
$170 sucks but they recognized car was FWD and towed me correctly. No damage, life goes on. Ball up top
This is the 3rd time they have stolen my vehicle. I have been unable to renew my decals because of tolls, and have been on a payment plan. The first time I did not know that a temporary pass could be issued by the leasing office to prevent this. The 2nd time my car was towed my temporary pass fell off of the rearview mirror, when discussing the issue between the tow company and leasing office, the tow company was able to determine that my pass had just expired. This could’ve only been determined if they had gone inside of my vehicle right? I got my car back and then had an up to date pass. The 3rd time I know for certain I hung my pass up, because why would I ever go through that again, but according to the photos they provided the leasing office with the pass was not there. When speaking to the tow company they explain my vehicle should be on a do not tow list even with my temporary pass. And regardless of the temporary pass they towed my car for that reason. Once able to speak with the leasing office, they let me know for the 2nd time that they do not have a email list and all you need to have is the parking pass displayed. After looking more closely at my vehicle, I can see finger prints on my window. And the person that towed my car also acknowledged that they seen that I had a parking pass in the window. Every time I spoke the guy would begin speaking over me, but threatens to hang up if I continue to talk over him. ATP I will be taking legal actions against this company and the individuals that clearly broke into my vehicle not only once, but twice just to collect $195. God sees yall, and clearly your business is going down hill if you have to make these type of desperate acts. And also want to note that they called theirselves trying to help me by saying “you should park your car by a pillar because it’s impossible to be towed from there”, when thats exactly where I parked and they still towed my car. And also to add the cameras can’t be viewed from that angle either. But I got something for that.
BDT likes to pick and choose which vehicles they like to tow and ignore cars clearly not legal to be on the road and have severely more out of date tags over picking the newer cars with freshly out of date stuff. They did this to my fiancée. Their website has no way of actually managing your account especially when it comes to moving to properties they cover as well. On top of that I now have to wait till next week to have my account deleted just to remake it and have my complex put a do not tow order on our vehicles when we already had to register them with the complex so it really makes no sense why we have to re register with them in the first place. Poor service overall.
This company practices predatory towing. If I could rate this company a minus zero I would. This company towed my car , tags had expired. I call them they don’t even know if they have my car they have to call the driver to verify. He tells me 170.00. I get there they have no company signage the building says Thorntons. There are 3 men on the parking lot none speak none offer assistance. I called and was told he was pulling in. No one there to return property. I say the sign says 150.00 he said 170.00 20.00 admin fee AND CASH ONLY. After a not so nice conversation, I get my car the man said we normally give 30 day notice before towing. So why are you towing ? ? All the tow trucks have different company names. Bad business…no customer service I’m sure they are breaking the law in one form or another. No notices provided to residents two towing signs at each entrance I did not see. PREDATORY TOWING out to take cars and charge more money than the sign says.
Horrible company. Horrible people. Tows cars by seeking them out in our apartment complex and doesn’t follow Virginia state law which is to give 48 hours to correct an inspection sticker before towing. Only card they take is American Express?? Otherwise you must get cash or a money order.
EXTREMELY unprofessional. There was one guy who was “kind” but everyone else is extremely aggressive and unprofessional. They towed my car from MY apartment complex where I pay to park over a registration sticker. Mind you my registration is up to date, the tag office sent it to my home of residence because I’m MILITARY. I explained this to them, called the police who CONFIRMED my registration is good, and they STILL made me pay $200 to get my car back. It was literally raining and I was in uniform. DISGUSTING group of people.

The 1 star is for the young man, running around early evening to take cars., for leaving my car where it was. Probably because I stood on the tow bar he put under my car. I truly appreciate it though. However, if I wasn't sitting in my other car to see him back up to it, he would've towed it for a 3/25 inspection sticker! Decals are good and the car moves to different parking spaces throughout the week and week to week. So they know it's not an abandoned car. They're Money Hungry is what I call it. All these empty parking spaces out here. Times are hard enough and people have to go to work!! And looking at the reviews, Big Daddy Towing, do better if y'all can. The love of money is the root of evil. That's what your truck represents. God see y'all. Change your ways. Vengeance is His. Money won't and can't buy you or your business out of that
Extremely unprofessional. Had my 5 month old daughter and my friends 10 year old daughter with us trying to pick up my car that they towed and the guy was immediately aggressive with two females for absolutely no reason. I understand my car was towed due to my own fault (expired inspection sticker) so I was just trying to pay and go but nope that’s not what happened. He was so nasty that my friends husband had to step in and tell him not to speak to someone that way and that’s where things turned he tried telling us he was going to block us in and not let us leave and then screaming at us telling us to move our cars , mind you the lot is TINY so we’re trying to get out of there but he had to pull his tow truck in right in the entrance. And that’s just SOME of what transpired. This guy was literally just looking to start something.. absolutely mind blowing behavior from someone who should be a professional..nothing but a parasite
I pay for their services and I have a problem with a vehicle sitting in a resident section for a few days now. I was asked” how do you know they aren’t a resident?” That I can not very duh. But was told no one can come out to verify this vehicle since there is no assigned parking. Although not assigned .. we have visitors parking available. I will complain to my leasing office Monday morning. Customer service sucks.

Where I was actually fearful for my well being and health With the threatening manner that they handled things I mean actually fearful or I guess I should say terrified. And God forbid they damage your vehicle they will just say it wasn't them and keep on moving. I mean, even if you have pictures and you know honestly, they are supposed to take pictures of the vehicle before they tow it, but they don't do that. No, sir, they do not. They will come in scoop you up and go without a second thought. They will damage your vehicle and treat it like garbage. I've had many issues with my car since they took it. Like I said, I would love to give all the details, but I'm physically and mentally scared and terrified that they will try and target me.So I don't want to put in to my details. It is honestly such a shame I don't understand how anyone could work at a place like this, the daily strife and pain that they are causing people out here is sicking. God, I want to say so much more but I feel if I give too many details like I said, am fearful for my mental Well-being there. There is a reason for that. I came home January 24 ,Friday at 8 pm from work to waking up January 25, Saturday 12 noon to my grill of my car on the ground in front of my building. I go to get my car and the front part of my car is damaged. They lied on the report saying that how they pick my car up. I understand that their are rules but to damaged people cars and lie about is wrong I have on camera from my job parking lot of Walmart that my car was not damaged when I left and I work down the street from where I live, Peninsula Grove apartments. I see that other people have complained about how the damaged the cars when they towed it. My thing is when you go to get your car they tell you it's two different companies their towing cars. THEY SHOULD REALLY BE SHUT DOWN.
Thieves. Stole my car from my own apartment complex I pay to live at. Charged me $200 (CASH ONLY) to get my car back from them after 1 hour of having it. Very sketchy business and personnel working there. Such a shame companies like this exist.
horrible company man they destroy customers vehicles watching this video is so gross.... the owner of the dodge pickup should be filing with the tow trucks insurance company for all the additional damages..... you see the driver of the tow truck almost rip the entire steel frame that holds the bumper off a brand-new looking truck.... gross and negligent....
If I could leave negative stars I would. They have these agreements with these apartment complex and be towing paying tenants cars for no reason. Got the car back and it's making a noise that it wasn't making at first. Reported it as soon as I pulled off their lot and heard the noise. Came back during working hours as instructed to only be told that I have to pay for something to get fixed that they messed up because they "tow at the customers expense". And if it is deemed by another mechanic that they messed it up during the tow then they would reimburse me. Then the fact that one of the workers wanted to be disrespectful throw his hands and walk away while trying to get a resolution is very unprofessional and disrespectful. While sitting in the parking lot waiting for whomever Javier is to return and answer my question witnessed multiple other people come to get their cars that were towed from their complex that they are paying rent to live at.
