In the search for my car I'd been to many dealerships, big and small, so I was skeptical when we went to look here as just about every one previously was not a great experience. I was searching for some reliable transportation to use as a commuter for my 86 mile back and forth trip. All the inexpensive options available on Craigslist and Marketplace were all high mileage and way over-budget for me. So I decided to check around the dealerships in the area. Then I came across a white 2004 Toyota Camry LE with only 99,325 miles!!! I immediately gave them a call to see if it wasn’t a typo and it proved to be true! So I drove over to the dealership and immediately knew that this would be perfect for a daily driver . The negotiation process was so simple and Luis was very helpful with the paperwork. The owner/manager Chris was very helpful and knowledgeable about everything. No secrets, b.s. -just straightforward. I definitely recommend this dealer if you’re looking for something decent to drive around and will totally be doing business with them in the future!
Amazing customer service with everyone I met there. Great selection of cars, especially Hondas, which is what I prefer. The owner is super amiable and willing to negotiate. He made me feel so comfortable buying my daughter her first car. Had no problem letting my mechanic come thru and check out the car. He even offered use of his lift to assist. It was refreshing to not deal with a typical cars salesman! Super glad I happened onto this little spot. If you’re in need of a good car and good deal, I’d definitely check them out!
This is my second time buying a vehicle from James River Auto Sales, and again it was an amazing experience! Both times I have bought vehicles with rebuilt titles because of the affordability (this one was a 2015Honda Crosstour, and 6 years ago I bought a 2012 Honda Civic from him). Normally, buying a rebuilt title vehicle would make me nervous, but Christian, the owner, is honest and transparent, and gladly showed me exactly what had happened and what they had done to repair it. He goes out of his way to be upfront and fair, and has demonstrated himself to be a man of integrity- which is not always the case in the world of used cars! Definitely recommend James River Auto Sales for anyone looking for an affordable car from a trustworthy and reputable dealer!
I had a very good experience here, Christian is an honest used car lot owner (rare). The first car I test drove had an issue with the brakes. I informed him about it, and he took the vehicle off the lot and had it fixed the next day. He and his mother were very helpful, informative and I will continue business with them. The car I purchased was priced very competitive. I worked as a car salesman part time for Carmax I can appreciate the amount of work that he has to do without all the extra departments. Everyone has unique situations and he cannot work miracles, that is Gods job. A+

I was able to get an older model truck 2009 Honda Ridgeline I've been wanting for reasonable price and not be taken advantage of because I'm a woman. They are all more than fair pricing, able to fix any concerns within reason. And not underestimate what women know or take them for granted. We recently purchased a Nissan Sentra from Christian the owner and I must say I was skeptical at first I’ve never purchased a car from a non major dealership. My experience was great and the car is amazingly perfect! He has an A1 mechanic that has his cars in perfect condition. I’ve test driven a few and my sister just recently went and bought a car from him and her experience was the same as mine! I went to purchase a Honda Pilot 07 the car was very nice and I got a sweet deal on it. I dealt with Christian the owner and his mom Mary who is in training. They were so kind and understanding when my Chime debit card gave me a limit. I was able to pay what I had left and come back the next day to finish. But I was able to take the car home!! I'm so pleased and happy with these people and this car. I highly recommend.
