I broke down on the side of the road, I called walnut springs and Josh sent tow truck to pick up my truck and had me back on the road the next day, very reasonable and professional
I didn't want to do this but I have to when the safety and life of my grandchild is in jeopardy. Had them rotate my tires just a few weeks ago and today I took it to a much better place and they informed me that all my lug nuts were loose. Only hand threaded. I wondered why it was bumping in my wheels since that. Well today I found out why. Last year they broke my windshield and when I mentioned it they blamed the tow truck driver. Who I know personally and he did not do such a thing. When I told them I only wanted the $100 decutable they agreed but my bill ends up $100 more than quoted before I mentioned the windshield. Not only that somehow my car got a yellow streak down the side. The shop manager said it had to be my fault that's when I had to inform him he had had my car for seven days.
This makes me sad.... especially when this shop is in your community and you know them...see them...

Great service even when everyone was hit by the winter storm they were still able to replace my radiator and fix my coolant leak in a timely manner. Nice customer service with fair pricing!
The tow truck driver was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Did a great job picking up my work truck that died. Highly recommended if you need a tow.
The most amazing experience! I was 3 hours away from home when my breaks wore out. Thankfully these wonderful folks were able to help me! It was above and beyond costumer service they fixed my car day of despite the shop being closed! I am truly so grateful for their kindness and willingness to help out! I can not recommend them more they were so fast when it came to fixing my car and i made the 3 hour drive home without any issues!
This used to be my go to mechanic for my whole families vehicles and I’d always recommend this place to friends. But recently I went in and there is a new person running the office. He does not even come close to as good as the previous manager. I went in with a noise, they quoted me $2200, I paid and got my car back. When i got my car back the new manager said he dropped my car off the lift… even though he isn’t a mechanic and shouldn’t have been touching my car.. since then I have had to return my car 2 times for weird noises and issues that I didn’t have before. The 2nd time I drove home one day and they had driven my car home and never called me to tell me they were bringing it to my house or what was wrong. Now I have to go to another mechanic to see what damage they’ve done
Called about an exhaust issue and they had me in a bay and fixed with out a hitch. NO extra cost for unnecessary parts. Just plain honesty and quality work done right.

Will tell you there are serious issues on your car but when you take it to be rescanned, all them "codes" that C&K said are magically not there at all. Tried to get me to buy a whole new transmission when mine is perfectly fine.
Very professional and fairly priced I came to the shop due to a/c issues was taken right in and told my service would take about an hour so myself and my 2 young sons sat in the lobby while we waited to which we were made to feel at home...George went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and my son was entertained it's nice to be somewhere family oriented! Travelled down from NY after just having a service at Mercedes who said I had some life in my brakes - red warning light comes on - called MB who told me I had to wait a month for an appointment ! Called C&K who said they could do that day…and for roughly one third of the price of MB. Dropped car off at 10am and collected at 4.30pm. All good with the repair - these guys dug me out of a hole
One of my dearest friends had a car towed approximately 5 miles and initially charged $1400 ,when explained that insurance was not going to be involved c&k graceiously cut the bill in half to $700. I call it stealing.The bill was paid, so put yourself in this situation and make your own opinion.
Came in originally for an alignment ended up needing a steering idle arm and a steering Pitman arm with no hesitation they had the parts brought down, same day installed, and did the alignment all within a couple hours. Amazing service. Highly recommend. Also they have the cheapest alignments around in Blacksburg and christiansburg I called every other place. Trust me.
One on one service couldn't be better. Most importantly, they are HONEST AND REASONABLY priced!! That's becoming a rare commodity in the automotive repair field these days! They take care of my personal and business vehicles and I've had no issues to complain about with their work or their prices. They're the real deal
Worst place with worst mechanics. My car had a light humming noise from the back. These guys completely misdiagnosed the issue saying it’s due to faulty wheel bearing and charged me 800 bucks. The noise was still there after their fix, i went to them again, and this time they said that the transmission and brake have gone bad. Later i found out that the noise was because of viscous coupling disengagement which was a whole different thing than what they said.
Worst service! If i could give a 0,i would!
I had a rattling sound from my wheels and smoke from my engine. I came here to fix the problem. They gave me a quotation for $1k. For changing valve cover gasket,stabilizer bar replacement, disk rotor change, brake shoe pads replacement and shock/strut change. I didnt have severe noise that is why I excluded the strut change and decided to do the others for $600. ($303 part +$280 labor)
When they delivered my car I immeditely found some issues.
1. Engine was shaking like crazy. My engine was completely smooth before they handled my car. So I asked them. They said my engine misfired. Then they tried to blame that on my engine checklight engine which was there before and it was for O2 sensor. I checked that earlier in Advanced autos. I didnt buy this explanation. Then after a while they found out it was a fitting error and they forgot to plug in a hose/pipe sort of thing. Thats why the engine was shaking like crazy. Totally unacceptable.
2. Whenever I tried to drive my car, bad metallunc sound was coming from the frame. They said it was coming before they did anything its not their fault. As per them,the only way to solve this is changing the struts which they recommended earlier.
I was in total dismay to now fix my car with another $600 and seeing the current condition of my relatively perfect car before.
Fortunately,I didnt go to them and checked my car with another mechanic. He took only an hour to fix my car. But the alarming thing is what he found!
1. He found out that there were a lot of misfittings. Walnut changed my brake unit,but the screws were loose. I posted a video where you can see I can rotate the screws with my bare hands!!
2. The metallic noise which was coming after their service was due to another major misfitting. It turns out when they changed the stabilizer control unit,they didnt fit it properly and whenever i was driving, this was damaging my car frame. You can see the fresh scratch mark in the photo I have attached. It turns out the problem was not with my strut,rather the setting Walnaut did.
3. I had some AC problems. I asked them to have a look. They said they'll charge $75 just to inspect. I am glad i didnt check. But they lost my intake cap too somehow! Otherwise they would mess that up too. I later fixed that with a $11 gas canister.
I just feel that they were very unprofessional with my case and tried to blame my car whereas the problem was with their ability and fixing. Never going back there again. Just horrible.
Called them about a head gasket repair on my 95 Wrangler. They quoted a fair price. I requested they tow it in. The tow truck showed up (really nice Ram rollback) within the time frame I needed. Driver was right on time and the driver communicated via call when he was close (always appreciated). While I had the jeep there, I had them do an axle seal, water pump, and thermostat along with the head gasket. Turn around on the job this time was 2 weeks, a lot faster than I anticipated. Everything looks good and I’m back on the trails. I wasn’t offered services I didn’t need. George was super friendly and professional. Everyone on sight was friendly too. Definitely recommend this place.
Great owner! I was on my way from Roanoke, VA to Beckley, WV towing a vehicle behind my truck, when I blew a coolant hose. I was picked up, stopped at a local auto zone for the part and was back on the road. Very friendly, great knowledge, prompt service, highly recommend.
Can’t say enough good things about C&K! I brought my car here after a collision because they were the shop with the earliest availability and they knocked it out of the park. The body work looks great and they went above and beyond while they had my car. They were waiting on a part for several weeks and not only kept me up to date, but also repainted the entire front of my car with the leftover paint they ordered, reclipped a piece of my rear fender that was not involved in the collision I brought my car in for, and power washed my engine. My car battery died while it was in their shop (manufacturers error, not theirs) and Kevin called me right away and advised me on how to proceed without pressuring me to buy a battery from them. When my battery was covered by warranty and we brought it back to replace it before taking it home, Kevin came out to help us after the shop had closed. If any friends or family need auto work, I would definitely recommend C&K.

They showed me everything that was wrong and explained what was going on without making me feel small. Plus the prices were great! Friendly, caring, attentive, communicative, well knowledged, honest, and hard-working. I've yet to have a bad experience or receive any kind of bad service from this garage, thus far. I've been going to them for the past few years for all of my vehicle needs/repairs. I'd actually found this place right after moving to this area after urgently needing some vehicle repairs. Quite a few of the local residents I'd asked around to had recommended this garage, so I went to check it out and couldn't have been happier with the help and services I've received from there ever since. I, most definitely, recommend this garage to others who may need their services one day. This place really is a great place with good people that do care.

Great place. Under new ownership but the same great service and affordability you can trust. When its so hard to find a mechanic you can trust it's nice to be able to drop a car off here and not have to worry about getting ripped off or up-sold stuff you don't need.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND these guys! I went to another car shop in town (Campus Automotive), and they wanted over $1,000 of repairs to pass my car for state inspection, but Walnut Spring Auto got my car up in running AND passed state inspection for just a fraction of the cost. Don't let these other shops in town haggle you. Go to these guys! They will definitely be receiving my business again!
Tim and Karen run a good business. Tim is a good mechanic and he's always honest. He's very straight with you if something is broken or needs complete replacement he won't pull punches and he won't take shortcuts. You will be pleased and your vehicle will be a very happy vehicle!
I took my 1995 4-Runner to Tim with a blown head gasket. He has done work on this vehicle for almost 20 years. Heads were not cracked so he replaced the head gaskets, timing belt, water pump, etc. I have driven it now for four weeks and it is running great. Added bonus, always reasonable prices.
this my second repair done at this shop . the first time I needed a wheel bearing. was quoted other places over 600.00 they fixed it for just over 300 the second fix was a flex pipe for the exhaust was quoted for a muffler shop 500.00 they fix it for 60.00. they may take their time so they are not fast but they are good and honest!!!! I give them two thumbs up
