We were in town for vacation when our check engine light came on. The folks there checked the error code, let us know we were safe to make it home without a repair, and were fast and friendly along the way. If they were local to us, we'd be loyal customers.
I was on vacation on Gywnn's Island and the alternator failed on our SUV, the repair was done quickly and at a very reasonable price! Matthews County is blessed to have this Auto Service!
I got my car inspected there and I got it back in 15 minutes. They are very friendly and very nice. I will go there the next time I needed to get my car inspected.

This place must not need the money. I got sent in this direction from a family friend because they said they could work on old cars. I called and asked for an appointment. Right off the bat I got “Well my guy ain’t here, he’s on vacation, so we can’t do nothing” I asked to see if I could schedule sometime next week to come up there and I got told that I needed to give him a call back on Monday because they don’t schedule stuff. This week I called and get told now that he doesn’t have no one to work in there so he can’t do nothing this week. I told him that he told me that last week so that’s why I am calling now. He then tells me to stop being aggressive and calm down. I didn’t raise my voice, my voice didn’t get any quicker, I truly had my work voice this whole time because I’m at work, and this is what he thinks is aggressive?!? Well now this time he tells me that his guy was sick last week and that’s why they couldn’t do it, quick change in story. Or maybe he just doesn’t remember the stories he was telling last week. Again, I say, well can we schedule something for next week? And again, I get told call me next Monday and we can look into it. What’s gonna happen next Monday? Is everybody that works there going to get chickenpox?
It would’ve been nice to get someone old to look at an old car. But the way I got responded to for phone calls looking for work, he won’t be getting my money. Maybe he has an issue with females on the phone. Maybe I should have let me husband called. Or maybe just don’t pick up the phone if you don’t have the ability to do any work for half a month and won’t schedule anything upcoming

Bobby and Terry went out of their way to help me out in a jam. They towed my car in and got me fixed up in just a couple of short hours. I'll always go here for auto service.
I have used Mr. Hearn several times and he is quick, straight forward, and does a great job every time. You will be impressed with the quality of his work.
I do all my own maintenance but do take my vehicles to Terry to be inspected. Being a mechanic myself, I assure you that Terry is an honest man who isn’t trying to rip people off. Most trustworthy shop I know of.

Terry is the absolute best mechanic in the area. His prices are fair and the job always gets done perfectly. Several years ago I spent a almost a year getting my breaks and rotors replaced every month or two at another garage because the rotors kept warping, I spent well over $1000 and was told it was my fault and I shouldn't "ride the brakes". I DON'T ride my brakes but they blamed it on me, didn't check for other possible causes... and continued to charge me more, I kept going there because I thought it would be covered under warrantee.... I finally gave up and took my car to Terry, he replaced the brakes and rotors and another little piece that was causing the rotors to overheat and warp, charged me $160 to fix it and I never had a problem again. 1 visit and my car was fixed. He's the best!
Terry and his crew are not only professional, dependable and affordable, they are honest. I never worry that I’m being over charged or taken advantage of. They’re wonderful!
When hes not super busy it's an amazing place to go it's a older fashion place but have the nicest honest people he will tell u exactly what's going on what u need and what it will cost I took my sisters car there for an electrical problem he had it for a week and worked on it idk how long and couldn't figer it out and his words were "I couldn't fix it I cant charge you" iv got my hole family and a lot of friends going there bc hes not ganna do me wrong trust me go there

This is the only shop I trust to work on anything of mine when I don't have time to do it myself. Trust worthy inspections too. They don't make stuff up for repairs. Like everyone else is guilty of...
I took my 2001 lhs into quinn motors to seat a clip, adjust a new transmission cable, repair brake lines that had blown. and state inspection. The est bill to repair was 3500.00 mainly for the failed headlamp lens being cloudy @850.00 each and brake line repair. the car came back with the shifter not able to select all gears and that I needed to replace it. It was fine prior to adjustment and did not correct the reason I wanted the new cable adjusted which was to align the park position lock so that the ignition key could be easily turned to the off position.
Now for my review on Tom Hearn auto service. I had reconditioned my headlight assy for about 1 hr personal labor and took it to Tom for inspection and to replace brake lines. 100.00 for the brake line labor I had supplied the materials and 15 for my inspection. Needless to say Tom just got my repeat business as I know for sure he is not out to gouge his customers. I had offered him 600.00 minimum to do the brake lines as that is what my labor rate would have been when I was doing that kind of work but he refused. I had based that on a rate of 80-100 per hour for a 6-8 hour book rate job. His work is excellent and timely if you give him notice as to when you have to your vehicle by a certain day completed. He is about to get several more maintenance jobs on both of our vehicles.
Best place to take your vechile. Have been using them for 30+ years. Terry is an honest person. I don't ever have to worry about being ripped off by saying I need something done that's not necessary. Great service, all staff friendly and good.
Very nice owner and staff. I brought my truck in for inspection but ended up going to C3 because Hearns wouldn't have been able to inspect it that day. I really wish I had waited the extra day and had Mr. Hearns inspect it because my experience at C3 was very poor.
Good automobile service spot. My wife and I get our cars inspected here; they have a lobby to wait in and they're respectively pretty quick with the inspections.
