I had my car towed to Deacon over the weekend and it was making sort of a grinding noise and I had no idea. I had to pull over on the side of 460 and I was completely freaking out. I needed my car to go out of town on Monday And Deacon had it ready by 1 PM and it was only slight charge for Reattaching a wheel well cover and I got an oil change and it was less than $100. They could’ve made a lot of money on me because I had no idea what was wrong with it but they treated me right and My daughter’s car is there now getting fixed. I will never take my car anywhere else from now on. They did an amazing, absolutely fabulous job!!!!!
Sandrof sent my vehicle for a repair to hosing going to the transmission from the transmission cooler and I was told the vehicle was ready, picked it up with transmission fluid still all underneath the hood from the first botched repair and it leaked 2 days later after we picked it up from Deacon's; they charged State Farm over $200.00 for a $3.00 hose clamp. When I reached out with pictures of the leak no resolution was offered. Wish negative stars were an option!
Pete, Eric and the crew are ways so nice and helpful. Anytime I’ve had problem with either of my cars they fix it and I never have to go back for the same problem! Also they don’t over charge you like everyone else in the Lynchburg area. They get the job done in a fair amount of time. Now they are the only shop I’ll ever go to now. I have been for 4/5 years now and will continue too. Shout out to Deacon’s Garage! If you’re having problems with your vehicle… they are the place to go!!!

This Garage is outstanding! Pete, the janitor that works there, is super kind and always has a joke or two to share! It is hard to find a garage with as many honest and knowledgeable mechanics. I have been bringing my vehicles here for over 20 years and they are only folks I trust completely to work on my vehicles and I am thankful for the services they provide!
Called about a leak in my auto's coolant system; first time they had me bring it then said it was too wet outside to check it- could have said to bring it in on a dry day before I drove to the shop. Second time they said bring it in I let them know that I would be waiting for my auto since it's my only mode of transportation, they said "no problem ".......till I drove there again and then it was " we can't look at it unless you leave it over night" . Once again they wasted my time driving to their shop and did nothing to fix my auto.
My wife was passing through the area and had a flat after hitting some debris on the roadway. She called me while sitting on the side of 460. I called these guys and they had a truck there in literally minutes, towed her in, mounted a new tire and had her back on the road in under an hour at a very reasonable price. She said they were real gentlemen as well. I would highly recommend this shop.
On my way to Winston-Salem from Charlottesville, I had an accident that totaled my car. The tow service was provided by Robbie from J F Deacon garage and he could not have been more compassionate and helpful. Not really knowing how to proceed, I got excellent advice from Pete Deacon which saved me over $350 and an additional trip back to Lynchburg. For the hours I spent at the garage waiting for my daughter to pick me up, all the guys at the garage could not have been nicer. I highly recommend this garage to anyone needing repairs or a wrecker service.
These guys are outstanding. My car broke down as I was driving through the area. They towed it in, completed the (pretty substantial) repair, and had me back on the road the same afternoon. They also went above and beyond searching around for a part so that I didn't get stuck overnight. And the price was very fair. To top it off, everyone I met was a pleasure to talk to. I highly recommend these folks.
I am a small business owner in CA. My son goes to school in Lynchburg, and I just have to say a big Thank You! to Deacon Garage for doing right by my son. I feel like they took care of him like he was their own kid. Sometimes, it's hard to do the right thing when the cost of operating a business hurts sometimes. Won't go into details, But other shops may have blamed the age of the car etc. These guys are stand-up gentlemen. Highly recommend this shop!! 5 Stars

This garage was recommended by a friend. After having a horrible experience at Endurance and Lynchburg Hyundai, I was very pleased with the greeting and professionalism I was shown. The owner listened and took notes regarding everything I said was going on with my car. A few days later (I left it to be evaluated), I got a call telling me what was wrong, what needed to be fixed, what could wait and total cost of repairs.
The vehicle was repaired quickly, and they were able to find a cheaper part, so my price dropped $50!! I am very impressed and left my truck to be fixed!!
I was also given an itemized receipt, which I also appreciate!

This garage was recommended by a friend for doing a great job and having reasonable prices. I was greeted very professionally. I told the person what was wrong as he took notes. I, again, was treated with respect "even though I am a woman" (ladies, you know!!) as I explained what was wrong. I was contacted about the findings, the price and time my vehicle would be ready. My car is running great for a very reasonable price. My truck is now there to get all fixed up. I feel confident that they will, again,do a great job!!
This is the best garage in Central Virginia! They have always done the best work from oil changes to Engine Replacements. They went over and beyond for me when I had to replace my engine in my older Jeep. They made a stressful situation so much easier for me and I highly recommend them!
Deacon’s Garage came very highly recommended and I can confirm it is a great place. The staff is very trustworthy and does not look to rip you off like some car repair shops. Eric was great at communicating with me the whole time about when my car would be done and what they were going to fix. They were super efficient and friendly. I will definitely take my car back to Deacon’s!

Long story short - I've been dealing with an issue that my normal mechanic of over 10 years was either unable or unwilling to explore. The Toyota dealership found $2600 worth of repairs to do but also couldn't figure out the primary problem. After briefly explaining the issue Eric and the team immediately diagnosed the problem and had a quote to me within 24 hours. I dropped my vehicle off Monday night and was back in the driver's seat Wednesday evening. Couldn't ask for a better turnaround time
Towed my truck on a weekend & repaired by the next day. We even got a gourmet meal & some advice on the tow ride home. Great people. Very reasonable prices. Make you feel so much like family I even started calling one of the guys “uncle”. 100% recommend.
Incredible work from Eric and the team at Deacon’s! I’ve been over there several times for different issues with both Toyota vehicles and they always get it taken care of. They’re honest and tell me what the issue is without complicating it. Their price is competitive and turnaround time is great! Deacon’s is the only mechanic I’ve gone to since I went the first time, couldn’t recommend them more!

I have been very pleased in the past with their work up until now. I have a extended warranty on a truck that they have worked on in the past on non warranty issues. But I had a issue with something that was warranty related and Eric said he would do it. He took all my warranty information and didn’t say that it was a problem until the next day. He said he thought about it and decided not to work on it because it was a warranty related issue. I have advised all of my family not to use this company because it’s not professional to take a vehicle and the warranty information and then decide not to do the work, especially when we called and ask him if he would do warranty work.
I went to the dealership I bought my Jeep from 5 times for overheating issues while under warranty and they were never able to find the issue. These guys figured it out and fixed it in a couple of hours. Good customer service, fairly priced!
They do a fantastic job guys are crafty in what they do. I have dealt with 3 generations of family there for 50 plus years. Yes been a bump or 2 in road, but that what I love about them always worked it out.
