Today he helped me get my car through the VA safety inspection, and the whole process was smooth and stress-free. Mike was professional and honest.
They were able to fit me in the same day without having to schedule an appointment! The work was done to my satisfaction, a little pricey but it beat having to buy a new car. Nice comfortable waiting area. The manager came out and greeted me. Great customer service all around which is hard to find these day. I will definitely bring my car back to them and recommend them to others.
Have been there several times for vehicle state inspection and have always had a great experience. Staff is efficient, knowledgeable and has never suggested unnecessary work like with some other commercial shops.
I went to Progressive to have an emissions test done and although there was a line of vehicles waiting, they fit me in as quickly as they could. They noticed that I needed a state inspection as it was a new car from out of state and they took care of that as well! All of their employees were very pleasant to work with. I will definitely go there again!
We are very pleased with Progressive Automotive. My truck issues were diagnosed quickly. The communication was prompt and clear. My problems were addressed in less time than initially discussed. I highly recommend, and will definitely be using Progressive Automotive.
It’s early to tell completely, but progressive auto got off to a good start on my Nissan Murano. It need a brake job and I couldn’t get the rear rotors off without removing the control arm, which I didn’t want to touch. The brake job was good so far and I will come back for service. I own 4 other cars and they’ll all need service soon. Thanks for good work at a reasonable price!

Keith and team at Progressive Automotive in Hamilton are great! We needed a quick inspection and oil change. They were efficient, courteous and did exactly what they said they would do! We will use them all the time!
When I need service or repair on my vehicle, I always try to have it serviced at Progressive. I’ve been a customer for at least since 35 years and still do, even though I now live in a neighboring state, I truly value their knowledge and service! They take time to answer customer’s questions and provide them with details in a way that helps their customers understand details of what is needed.
Emissions testing at Progressive was extremely efficient, professional and friendly. I have heard good things about this place for years but this was my first visit. Very pleased.
Called ahead for emissions wait time “no wait”. I arrive and stand in the office for 10 min for someone to appear, no luck. Drive around to the “Inspection Starts here” line and sit for 8 minutes before the tech comes out to tell me I have to check in at the office and he isn’t going to get to me until after lunch which doesn’t start for 30 minutes from now…
Highly recommend going elsewhere for anything automotive.
Progressive has taken care of our vehicles for years now. They are friendly, prompt, fair and reliable. I always take their recommendations, partly due to the amount of times they have identified a future issue but said it didn’t need repair immediately, to include a few weeks ago I was worried about a knocking noise and after diagnosing they said the noise was an annoyance/inconvenience related to mismatched tires (not from them) but not a safety related issue. They recommend next steps- which were not immediate but down the road- transparent and honest- what you need in a mechanic.
I was towed 80 miles to Progressive Automotive due to the car overheating on my trip to Hamilton. They diagnosed the problem and replaced the coolant pipe quickly. Progressive is a pleasure to work with!
Progressive was great in finding me a transmission with a great parts warranty. They were also fast in turning my vehicle around with completing the work. Highly recommend.

We took my wife’s vehicle in for inspection, A/C diagnostics and wheel maintenance. We were able to drop off the night before and communicate easily. We have used the shop before and felt they were extremely competent so we knew it was in good hands. They fixed it with little turn around and the price was absolutely fair for the work needed. Will be going back in the future!! 10/10 would recommend.
