I sold my car to this place today. Everything was smooth until I came to pick up my compensation. It wasn't Melinda (the amazing older woman who gets the job done with zero issues!), but the "younger" bleached blonde female with grown out roots who was working on Friday around 2 PM to 4 PM. I asked for my payment in cash in a clear tone, but she printed me a check "on accident". I still have zero idea why she was so NASTY towards me. Even when she printed the sale receipt, she was placing the papers on the counter on the other side of the computer instead of handing them directly to me. Is this a typical procedure? She was extremely hostile, but I wasn't paying it any mind at first because I came for something quick. She brought me a check. I said, "I asked for cash". She said "oh well there's nothing I can do about it." I looked closer at the check, and she spelled my name wrong. I told her she didn't even spell my name right. I know I have an "ethnic" first name, but she spelled my last name wrong. She double checks because she doesn't believe I know how to spell MY OWN NAME. She asks for it back and I take a picture of it for my records. Haha, oh NOW there's something she can do about it. I thought she just said she couldn't. Anyway, she starts to get agitated and frustrated with her own work ethic, but proceeds to take it out on me. Although it's a simple task yet she still messed it up. You would have thought I asked her to do something completely out of her job description. She acted like I was INCONVENIENCING her by coming to pick up my payment from her EMPLOYER. That's literally HER JOB, and I'm a CUSTOMER. She treated me like a BURDEN. She then rushes over to the ATM and then shoves the money in my hand and shoos me out. I genuinely don't care if you're having a bad day, it's Friday and the sun is out and I came to complete a transaction that gets done everyday. Super weird, hope the check was shredded and destroyed. As I was walking out, she turns up the music in her area and starts singing to it. This all happened in a span of 10-15 minutes. Other than that, the towman was very respectful and backed into our driveway without any issues and it was a very quick tow. They did not lie when they said they'll only be about 5 minutes. Lol. Other staff were professional and helpful. Even on my bad days I treat everyone with respect, especially when I clock into work and represent my employer.

If you are in need of a part, selling an old vehicle or looking to purchase one Chesterfield Auto Parts/Midlothian is the place to go. They not only offer warranties but unlike other companies they honor them. They are knowledgeable and trustworthy. Joe was not only amazing but super helpful.

Adam was very very helpful with the recent transaction that I had at Chesterfield Auto Parts last week! I had sold another car to Chesterfield Auto Parts in December 2023, and the whole reason I decided to use them again was the EXCELLENT customer service I had initially received from Adam! Adam jumped thru 700 hoops to help me, and that is why I had yet another wonderful experience with this business! I really appreciated the knowledge, the expertise, the dedication, and the professionalism that I received from Adam, yet again, when I inquired about selling my second car to Chesterfield Auto Parts! My family and I will continue to use this outstanding business for all of used car sales, and for any parts we will need in the future!

Many tree branches fell on my car and I have been buying parts to get the car repaired. Joe has been helping me all this week and I would be remiss if I did not speak on how kind, patient and knowledgeable he has been. It is very rare to find this kind of service these days. Also a thanks to Aubrey who searched the yard to find me a headlight even tho they did not have the correct one and for pulling my other part. Keep up the good work guys. Know you are appreciated.

This place is great...it is well-staffed, folks are friendly, and the yard is very organized. I saw another review about being charged more than what their pricing sheet says, but I had the opposite experience. They charged me exactly what the sheet said for a non-powered seat.

The woman there has no idea what she’s talking about when it comes to returns. I’ve been coming here for ten years and have never had an issue exchanging or returning even if I misplaced the receipt and all of a sudden this lady couldn’t refund me for a broken alternator they sold me because misplaced the receipt: I’ve exchanged so many times without one yet all of a sudden I can’t. So now I’m out 50$ and just got a broken alternator in my trunk. Will not be returning here ridiculous

I have been a customer with Chesterfield Auto Parts for over thirty years. The yard is looking better than I have seen it in years. The vehicles are spaced apart well. There are multiple desks to check in and check out. The inventory is high. The vehicle makes are labeled well. The customer service reps are courteous. Chesterfield Auto Parts has evolved with the times. I will continue to support the business.

It’s a great place if your looking for used parts for your vehicle in your own budget they usually have what you’re looking for. You can pull the parts yourself and pay them to pull them for you. They’re decent priced. Been around for a very long time reputable business.

Dishonest crooks. They gave me a price on a part $26, I went and pulled it, went to the register, and the guy charged me DOUBLE the price they gave me before. He said it straight to my face - no, the price for this part is now $55, even though it was the exact same part as on the original receipt he just dismissed it. Since I already spent time and effort on pulling the part, I had to pay double. Which I am sure is exactly their mode of operation - give you one price, then once you are done pulling it, charge you double. What are you going to do? If you leave - you wasted your time and labor, if you pay - you pay double. Update: they gave me the price for a radio WITH heater/AC controls becuase that's the kind that goes in this car, and this was discussed upfront, and it was $26. Then they acted like it's a different part and doubled the price. I stand by my review.

The junkyard was going to close in 30 minutes and I had well over enough time to look at a part and take it off. The staff was extremely rude and unprofessional, never going to this junk yard again. (edit after owner response: The staff was still very disrespectful to me and judging by your response you are absolutely okay with it)

Went to buy a used turn signal lens for a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup 1500 or 2500 series 1999-2002 model all are the same ,they told me the lens was $11.00 plus tax , I can buy a new lens on the internet for $7.99 from J.P.Auto Parts , Auto Zone, O'Reilly, and Grey Line Auto have new lenses for around $16.00 ,we talking about a piece of plastic that has been in the weather, I'm very disappointed in Chesterfield Auto Parts at one time you could get some great deals, NOLONGER THAT WAY

I looked online at the inventory and photos and I placed my order to pull 3 parts on the 28th. I was charged for all part and labor on the spot. I received a text within a few days saying they only had 1 part. I called back to see if they could check the other 2 similar cars on lot to see if they may have a headlight too. Now it is 2 weeks later and I have not heard anything back. I now see I missed a call that left no information, about my apparent refund or lack other parts. Checking the lot before charging or accurate photos online could of saved everyone a headache. Now going in today I was livid for the lack of communication and urgency. There were better ways to do business than this.. and I will not be back.

Super easy to find the car you need. Each car as a code to scan and it tells you everything you need to know about the car. You can find performance parts, OEM parts, and a whole bunch of cool. older cars. My favorite junk yard by far!

Needed a brake light lens for a 1998 Ford Contour most parts on a car that old they do not make anymore!! I searched for 6 months to no avail checking weekly with all the junk yards in a 100 mile radius finally one day chesterfield auto parts in Richmond Va had not only one but they had 2 !!! I was so happy but then to find out they would take the part off for me was outstanding!!!! I thought my experience couldn’t have went any better until I got home to install the new part, I was so pleased the part I got matched exact!!!! So exact it had same numbers letters identical to the lens I took off It was overall the best experience I could ask for !!!!!!! I wanted to say Thank You Chesterfield Auto Parts you guys rock

Quick and easy. Had the right jeep, even the right color, the specific part i needed was still there waiting for me. I was able to get it off myself without any trouble. Staff was helpful and courteous. And the part was even less than i had been quoted over the phone. I saved $50 over ordering the same after market part.

I was well pleased and satisfied with my part purchase today (May 11, 2022), and the pricing was great as well. The only suggestion I would say. Strive to trained their new associates more effectively so that effective communication between the associates and the customer is clear. I have always highly recommended Chesterfield Auto Parts and I will continue to do so. Also, thanks to mechanic Mr Brady for pulling my part in a timely manner.

I walked the long mile in their rocky, dusty yard to find the old maxima and it had the part I needed, a door glass for the back drivers side. I walked all the way back in the heat, waited on line and paid for the part and labor to remove the glass. The cashier even made a special note to make sure the laborer knew it was the door glass. When my sister returns the next day they had pulled the wrong glass despite all the extra effort to prevent that. The cashier promises that they would correct this and have it the next day. The next day they call and they still have the wrong glass. Now they say sorry the other glass is gone. I say no they are not looking for the door glass. A few days pass and I stop by. They try to give me the wrong glass again. I explain once again the situation. I asked them to go and look but the manager Greg refuses. He laughs as he approves for me to come back another day and look for free. The cashier is polite but just says I'm sorry.. there was no sense of customer service.. no effort to make this right.. CAPS is a good idea but new management is needed. i really felt dismissed and frustrated by this whole process. This makes no sense. There was absolutely no effort to serve the customer. **** UPDATE**** I changed my rating from 2 to 4 after receiving a call from the General Manger Kaleb who apologized for my experience, listened to my concerns and efficiently resolved the issue in less than 48 hours. As disappointed as I was with my initially experience, I am equally impressed by their efforts to resolve the problem and improve their customer service.

I would love to give positive feedback. We have been to multiple junk yards as a family, so this isn't new but we were unable to enter because our 9 year old was with us. We have no one nearby so our kids are literally always with us. While I understand the reasoning behind it, it makes it impossible to visit. I hope as a family centered business you can find a way to allow a family experience. Our daughter happens to love helping her dad work on the truck so he isn't going anywhere she isn't welcome.

Sold them my 93 lebaron today got 200 for it. Just needed it gone! I have also come for parts. Mask wearing is highly appreciated here. Parking may not be great but you will receive pretty good customer service once inside. The lot is huge so do your online research or call 1st. And yes bring your tools and if you have a tool box they want to look in it upon entry.

The prices are a little high for a junkyard, and there's always a couple of shady people lurking around, but the selection of cars is decent and they keep the yard neat and clean.

I have been coming here for years they're always changing stock and you can check their inventory of cars online and the very best part is they have a standard pricing for whatever part it doesn't matter what vehicle it came off of and their price list is on their website bonus you can put in your wishlist car and when the car you picked comes in they will email you they used to text your phone which was awesome but I can't figure out how to get them to do that again whatever the case is you will know when your specific car that you're looking for first hits the yard so you have a better chance of getting the part off just all around the best junkyard.

Was looking for an ac compressor for a 2004.5 volvo s40 2.4i and they went out in the heat to check and stated that it wasnt on the car. They researched and saw an 06 s40 turbo and it had the compressor on it which they pulled it off for me in 30 mins record time with the addition of those 4 nice rims that they cut me a deal. The place is awesome but the employees are extraordinary and deliver exceptional customer service.
