Always willing to work me in when I need something fixed. Excellent repair service and very reasonable price. I have been taking vehicles there for 30 years.
Duke's Auto Parts is the best, even better than going to the dealer. I have a Jeep Cherokee, the past month I've had starting issues thinking it might be my brakes or something in the engine. Had to have AAA come out to jump start me. Said one of the brake terminals was loose and rigged up something. Yesterday, I was in Richmond making a turn and my car died. It took moving the terminal connection around, putting in tin foil, to get it going again. This morning at 6:45 a.m. drove over to Dukes got there by 7 and asked Buddy if he could fit me in. I didn't have an appointment and was desperate. He and his crew fit me, checked things out, said the terminal connection on the battery was loose, they got it tightened up, said to replace the terminal connection, but it's tight now. I was done and gone by 7:25. I couldn't believe it, the car started no problem no engine light on and going taking it in to the dealer (where I bought it, pretty far) on Monday 11/24. Buddy is the best. Always goes above and beyond to help people especially those in need like I was. As my car ages, going to take it to him and not the dealer since warranty running out.
They’ve had me chipper for a month an a half to fix a wheel bearing. Called numerous times to check the status and they don’t even know if they ordered the part. Hope you don’t have a business or you’re going to waiting like me.
I’ve been a customer since 2012 and I’ve never had this experience. I had to wait 20-25 minutes just to be acknowledged/helped and secondly with over 10 years and multiple vehicles inspected here I’ve never been told no inspections on weekends, for years I’ve only been coming on weekends! It’s become extremely hard to be a consistent customer in 2025!
The Owner has always been very respectful and helpful. We had a vehicle go for an inspection today, Jeffrey Nichols inspected it. He failed the vehicle and claimed not one light worked on the truck. Remind you, the truck was pulled yesterday by a State Trooper just for an expired sticker. The State Trooper went through the truck with a fine tooth comb. The only complaint was the inspection sticker and the window tint.
Super friendly place and staff. They are very accommodating to travelers in need of assistance. They were willing to stop what they were doing to help a traveler in need of a flat tire repair. Great people all around!

My husband had an inspection, oil change and tires rotated. Tom, at the front desk, was very pleasant and I enjoyed passing time with him while waiting on my husband to drop off his truck.
Went in for a timing belt on a 05" dodge neon. It took three weeks and went there on three separate days when he said it was done, only to find out it wasn't, and there was nobody around to talk to. The car was on the lift in peices.
I was then told my radiator needed to be replaced after they damaged it and had broken one of my transmission lines. My girlfriend had to pick up a radiator replacement for them due to a lack of drivers only to later be informed that it was the wrong size. Although they damaged the radiator, and we had to fetch the parts, we were still charged full price for this.
When it was finally returned to me two of my wheel studs had been broken off on one side. Multiple wire connections weren't reconnected, and my power steering bolts were gone. There was no coolant (that we were charged for) in the radiator either, and insead of replacing the line they broke they jerry rigged it with hose and zipties. And my head seal and valve cover are now leaking. Then, when i called to figure out what happend he denied everything and said "We didnt touch any of that stuff and it was like that when he brought it in".
Not even a month later my radiator that they broke and replaced had broken again.
Over all the car ran but has so may other issues now that it's going to cost way more to fix the problems they created. Will never use this shop again.
If you are younger I would not recommend using this shop. If you do, take detailed pictures of every single thing before you get any work done so you don't get jipped.
Good and honest auto shop , very knowledgeable mechanics and friendly good prices don't try to gouge you very good place to take your automobile and be able to trust them
I stopped by when my tire light came on during a road trip, they were quick to accommodate me and very friendly, after having a bad day and being cranky from the drive, I left this shop safe and smiling and ready to complete my trip🙂
Duke's fixed my car this past week and they did an excellent job. From diagnostics to changing busted radiator hoses, they are the best. My car is running perfectly after their care... Thanks Buddy!
Buddy and his crew are awesome people! He takes care of my 10+ y.o. car They won't charge an arm and leg to take care of your vehicle.. Sometimes he doesn't charge me anything for minor issues.
Old Fashioned customer service! Not like those chain places. Just because they're super busy doesnt mean they wont make time to put air in your tires, plug a tire, or even oil changes. They make time for every person with car needs. No matter by appointment or dropping in on a whim. They do the best they can to accommodate. Always upfront and honest.
My wife was passing through out of town and had to pull over on 64 due to a loud sound coming from under the vehicle. She stopped by here and the guys had her in and out in no time. The splash shield had fallen down and they were able to get it off and make the vehicle safe to drive. I'm very grateful for them taking care of her when I wasn't able to. Many thanks!
Dukes auto parts and their employees are the best. They are very fair priced and extremely honest I recommend that any one in goochland and surrounding areas take there vehicles there I am always extremely satisfied with all the services they have supplied me .
Best place to take your automobile. From inspection to air in the tires, from working on the engine to changing windshield wipers. These folks know what they're doing, very polite and accommodating.
Not only are they fast and reliable, they are the nicest people and a pure joy to talk with. It’s refreshing to see a friendly face and man that actually listens to you while describing the truck issues.
Highly recommend even if they’re not the closest shop to you. Worth the extra few miles to support good people.
What a joke, sat there for almost 2 hours waiting to get an ABS line replaced and they never got to it. Too worried about the no profit making state inspections that people had dropped off their cars for than to do any REAL mechanic work. Then the owner, instead of working sitting around with a friend chatting like he has nothing better to do. What part of I'm an actual customer you will make money off of don't you get. Oh, and I had called the prior day to make sure could get this job done and was told no problem. I guess no problem means when you got a whole day to waste. My time is valuable and that's 2 hours of my life I won't get back.

After 3 weeks of calling we still could not get an estimate for our van, went to pick it up and they had damaged the bumper by ripping the license plate off, it was hanging by one bolt and was all bent up. They never bothered to fix it.
Such a great experience. I ended up having to stop here on a road trip across the country. My car wouldn't stay running and I was sure I was about to be stranded. I happened to pull off the freeway and ended up right in front of Duke's. It was pretty early but they were already packed. I thought I'd be there all day. They had one of their guys look at my car within 20 minutes. It's turned out to be something relatively easy to fix for them. They charged me 15 bucks and I was on my way in about an hour. All of the employees were incredibly nice and very honest. I thought I'd be spending a minimum of $100 like I usually do when my car breaks down. I should have known they would be so great when I walked in and saw a few guys waiting for their cars, all about 70 or so. Definitely one of those places where they know you by name. Highly recommended
Duke's Auto Parts is family owned and operated, and they will treat you as if you were their family. They are able to do preventative maintenance and repairs to most models and for a very fair price. They are honest and thorough -- bring your business here! The only "drawback" is that their reputation is so good that they always seem to be busy (and sometimes too busy to answer the phone!), so don't wait last minute to get your vehicle inspected!
