Very nice Suntex Marina property. Docks are well maintained, bathrooms are spotless. YROC restaurant is very good. Probably the best food on that side of the bridge.
We kept our boat at York River Yacht Haven for four months this summer, and it was a great experience! The attention to detail is impressive, and it shows, the marina is always clean and in top shape. The restaurant is fantastic, one of our favorite marina restaurants on the east coast. Preston was super helpful to us with everything we needed. We will definitely be back in 2026!
The Marina is fantastic! Preston and his crew go out of the way to see that all your needs and wants are met. I actually called Preston on a return trip from Texas and he referred me to a sister marina in Fort Meyers where they met his standards and went out of the way for fuel and a wonderful restaurant. Preston and the team are the best
We have been at this marina for a little over two years and could not be happier. Management has gotten better over the years and Preston does a fantastic job making everyone happy. I definitely recommend keeping your boat here.
My experience was absolutely meritorious!!!! The little helper boy. Goes by the name Barrett. He was very polite and handsome. He was also extremely knowledgeable about boats of all shapes and sizes. I would highly recommend coming to this little slice of paradise in Glochester, Va.
We stayed at the marina 16 days total after a haul out work was completed around the corner at North Pointe. As full time cruisers, we only go into marinas every 6 months or so. We found this one to be one of the best we have visited. Docks are well maintained, great laundromat with very reasonable prices at $4 for a load to wash and dry, clean pool and very friendly, professional staff. We only went to the restaurant a couple of times, we found the food to be average and on the more pricey side, but most Marina restaurant tend to be on the more expensive side. The transient rate of $4 a foot pushed us out of our budget or we would have stayed longer.
Wonderful Marina!!!!! The staff is amazing. The restaurant amazing! You will need to put your boat in at the public boat ramp below the bridge unless you’re coming in off of the water. I can’t wait to come back!!
Beautifully located seafood restaurant with great food and exceptional service. I loved the view of the boats docked and enjoyed the beer menu as well. Can't wait to go back and enjoy this vibe of a place and the food soon.
This place appears to have a large facility for boat repair however it does not have any other amenities and has limited facilities for boat docking. However anybody staying here would probably know that in advance and the rates are cheaper then other marinas with amenities. The staff are very nice and helpful. As long as you don't need a swimming pool, restaurant
We have a great experience every time we come to this marina…so much so that our friend decided to make York home. Everyone is so friendly and customer service is amazing!
We went to YROCK for our family Christmas dinner. There were 16 people & they were able to accommodate all of us at one table. Service was excellent as well as the food. They kept our beverages full & our food was hot.

We had an excellent stay at York River Yacht Haven. The staff truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, providing outstanding hospitality and assisting with all of our questions. The restaurant was absolutely delicious, offering a memorable dining experience. This place is definitely a must-stay for any boaters passing through. Highly recommend!
1: staff- friendly, professional, responsive.
2: facilities- very good, slips are nice, docks good, showers and bathrooms clean and warm, laundry very nice. Ships store is stocked well with basics for maintenance and parts (west marine also a mile away, if needed). Store prices are pretty much basic retail, no scalping.
3: transient prices is very reasonable, makes it harder to leave!
4: location is really good. Quiet but not too isolated definitely worth the couple miles extra up the river.
We are cruisers passing through.. But if we were to local. I would actually suggest this as a hidden gem for a weekend get away by boat. There's a fantastic restaurant on site, And a short ride or even walkable eateries in the area. Views can't be beat, docks are clean, friendly, and full of real sailors.
We were anchored in Sarah Creek and discovered that York River had a dinghy dock that we could use for $20 per day which included access to their facilities. Beautifully maintained facility with great showers, credit card payment laundry and a really nice marine store. Very friendly, helpful staff. I would highly recommend these guys.
GREAT MARINA - I've docked at York River Yacht Haven for 30 years, and things have never been better. Every day, a new project is completed to keep the place current and competitive. The staff is professional, friendly, curious and creative. If you have a sailboat and are looking for a home, this is it. Slips are readily available on the fixed docks.
Stopped here on return from Bermuda and perfect place to rest up- Beautiful and peaceful views yet not far from Chesapeake and Atlantic Ocean. Bathrooms clean, restaurant top notch And most important staff has been helpful and friendly giving us some good recommendations of sites to see nearby!
Very helpful and accommodating staff. All of the deck hands were very patient with us “newbies” as we approached and departed the dock. A great restaurant on site. Their laundry room was closed for renovation but wait, one of the staff took us to a local laundromat. We liked the YRYH so much we stayed a few extra days. Did I mention the pool? Very nice.
Service at the marina is always top tier, Michelle is always eager to help! Love stopping for a bite and drinks at the on-site restaurant after a long day on the water!
Great Marina, clean reatrooms! The staff is friendly and attentive! They have lots of great activities throughout the year for the kids and slip holders! The pool is awesome and they are very pet friendly! Check them out!
Nice marina, and great staff! Always a pleasure getting my sailboat worked on at this boatyard!! Really happy with the service and the Pettit Paint they used on my 37’ Hunter!

The facility is top notch and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is great and there are plenty of convenient alternatives. The marina is well sheltered and the slip holders are wonderful.
The food here is absolutely phenomenal. The view is gorgeous (pic below). Jordan was one of the best bartenders I've ever encountered. I'll definitely be back for more!
Very clean, well kept slips and docks. The majority of the slips have a single 50A hookup, but our boat has 2x 30A, so they let us borrow an adaptor. Great restaurant right there as well.
