Pick a Part South LLC JunkYard in Fredericksburg (VA)

Worst experience ever! I would rather pay full price for parts than deal with pick a part. They only cater to Hispanics and are extremely rude to everyone else. They tell you one thing and when you get there it’s something different. If they tell you that a part will be ready at 10am you’ll end up waiting until about 1pm for it. They need to really train their employees on how to deal with their customers. They answer they phone in a rude manner and act like you’re bothering them when you come in. There is a bunch of cursing out loud and they do not make you feel welcome at all. This place seriously needs to be closed down. The customers are the reason they’re in business. Do not come here if you don’t want to be discriminated against!!!

Drove over 2 hours because the website said they had 5 of my car type in inventory. When I arrived, they said those cars are in an area that is not public access (there was nothing on the website regarding this). The guy at the counter said he would look for the parts I wanted and call me. He didn't. So basically, I wasted 4 hours (round trip) of my life when I could've just bought what I needed on eBay from a seller with better ratings. I won't waste my time again!

Came here TWICE today to get a hose that we needed for our car (Broke it the first time FML) The older gentleman checking bags at the exit was so nice & recognized us the second time we came through. Normally getting checked at an exit is an uncomfortable experience but he was amazing, kind, knowledgeable & really made our day after so much stress with a very brief conversation. Please let him know his kindness is seen & appreciated! Overall we were able to receive help in looking for the vehicle we needed to pick from & everyone was very friendly BOTH times we came in today ! 10/10 !! Will absolutely return.

The most unpleasant, unprofessional and lazy stuff I ever had a chance to work with. I went there and I was waiting 1 hours and 30 minutes for them to send a guy and to check do they have the part I need. Off course I left because I didn't want to waste my time anymore and by the way they were not busy, it was only me in the shop. When you call they put you on hold forever. It's night and day difference between this location and Stafford location. The stuff in Stafford is way better!

You will be better buying parts from eBay or Amazon. Their prices are ridiculous considering the fact you have to take your own parts from a junk yard. A junk yard with dealer prices what a bigotry. Also their customer service is garbage. I feel like they pay me not the opposite.

People are terrible. Had me on hold for 20 mins and had 4 different people ask me how can they help me just to get put on hold again. And 20 minutes later to tell me they threw away the part I paid them to get me. The lady said she told me it would be ready the next day but she never said that. And she said it was my responsibility to know that? Crazy and now I'm out 135. She only asked me for my number so I was waiting for them to call me when it waa ready. Crazy

Great experience. I spoke with Henry about a door glass for my jeep. He had it ready in about 3 hours. Will definitely call him again.

This place used to be great. You could pull your own parts and save money. I just went today. Spent 2 hours pulling some parts and ended up paying similar prices to what I would've payed if I just had a junkyard just pull the parts for me. I don't think I'll be coming back.

The GOOD: 1st time visit, the pick a part entrance cashier was very polite, take your own tool remove the parts and get a great deal. Bought a few items for my commander at a great price. The BAD: Some parts are in a private area. You have to go to the office, and they have about 4 guys waiting to "help" BUT these idiots are extremely rude. I walked in said Good Morning walked up to the first spanish dude on the right and asked if he had parts for a Hummer H2, F350 his responds was rude and seemed like he didn't want to be there. Asked him a few questions to which he didn't bother checking and just said NO or Someo ne has to go check! Dude do your job, just say give me a few let me send someone to check can you wait? But no interest at all I. Selling. My friend wanted to buy a few corolla engines which were quoted at 1k each and the guy next to him told him I got it but they're not ready! (OK, what does that mean? ) my friend asks should I wait? Do you know when they be ready? Give me some info? But nothing the guy said nope someone has to check them and see if they work! Hahahaha what? Of when? Who? Should we call? Come back? At that point we just left .

I'll give them 00 if possible !! It used to be a good place to get used parts at reasonable price!!but now is horrible!!: Really bad customer service !! I feel like they care much about Hispanics!!! All you have to do is put a note saying "this place is for Hispanics only and we won't come back again. Seriously You guys need to do better!!

This place is HUGE! Come prepared with your own tools if you are looking for pulling your own vehicle parts. They have a large inventory and staff was friendly and helpful.

Great place for parts, stuff gets picked through pretty quick but there is a pretty wide selection of things. Wear old shoes and don't go unless you really need to while it's raining or after.

I called an talk to a guy name Henry about a transmission an let him know I own a car dealership and a mechanic shop an I need this transmission he told me they deliver I said cool an said ill have it Wednesday so that day came no call no transmission I called him he said he had no driver coming thar way an I ensure you Friday remind you I called him to find out long story short today is Friday so I called to check the eta on the transmission cause this vehicle been on my lift sense Wednesday so like an hour later I got in touch with him he said idk what to tell you I had no driver coming that way again Same result so I ask why not call an tell me i own a business I need communication he hung up on me very rude!!! I talk to a super Alex he treated me like a customer should be treated I had to drive 2hrs to get the transmission but Alex did take some off the price I heard from alot of other shops this place only cater to Hispanic sad but I can believe it ill never spend my money there again as long as Henry is there everyone else treated me with respect..

Henry made my day, he went above and beyond the call of duty. Getting ready to close he helped anyway. Great customer service from Henry. Recommend anyone to Henry.

Needed a part for my explorer went to the Fredericksburg location Henry was the best thing that could have happened for me. He made sure I got what I needed with excellent customer service highly recommend

I’ve never had any issues coming to this junkyard but when I went inside and asked for some parts I was told that I would get a call once they have an answer as to if the part was available or not. Waited 2 hours and didn’t get anything. They closed and never received a call. I also stood there and the people ignored me and continued to talk to each other.

Horrible customer service. Said 30 minutes for a callback on a part to be pulled and here we are 4 hours later and nothing. People at the desk act like you're a bother when you need help. Get a different job if you hate yours so much and don't want to help.

BUYERS BEWARE!! Don’t buy car parts from this place if you want something to work. I was sold a faulty alternator that didn’t work and battery that doesn’t fit. The reason I knew the alternator was faulty is because I had it bench tested at a local autoparts store. Picture is below. They got kids working the front who need serious training on customer service. When I asked to speak to a manager he acted like it was a nuisance to come and take care of the issue. Do not get used car parts here. Shady ppl

Pretty rude on the phone. They hung up on me 3 separate times. When I finally got through to them they were very short with me and didn't seem to want my business.

The Spanish ladies and the Spanish guy that works. There are horrible customer service, the white guy is nice. Pick a part is good place where you can find Parts, but a bad customer service, If you call that Spanish ladies they have an attitude , don’t know how to answer the phone and if you tell them that you’re paying customer, they’ll hang up on you. I think this place needs people with better customer service that represent well Pick-a-Part. but for parts they’re pretty good, and good prices if you could get the people to help you.

Needed a rim, they said they would deliver it, 3 days pass by I call them back and they said they don’t even have the rim for that vehicle anymore. Terrible business.

I called to ask the parts but one of them he didn’t answer perfectly and he did very bad behavior and cut the phone. I recommend please fine good customer service.

I have been to this location and the one in Stafford numerous times since they opened, and I can say while they're customer service has never been a 10/10 it has always been acceptable and at times even good. Today was not that case, I called for a very specific set of wheels, I referenced their own website and had the year/make/model AND THEIR OWN STOCK NUMBER. I called and when the CSR picked up the phone there was no greeting, no hello, nothing just salience until I said "Hello?" The CSR didn't care or maybe refused to understand that I had all of the relevant required info to verify this vehicle was still in his inventory so that I could make the trip for these specific OEM wheels. I don't expect Chic-fil-A level of service but at least Wal-Mart quality would be great.

Went into lots and got the part window (regulator) and walked up to the cashier to pay for it item cost over 50$ and asked for a receipt. Cashier response no receipt. Call location back! Guess what! He said I wasted his time…….

Very rude. Give wrong information. Drove two hours one way for an engine that they claimed someone walked out and checked on. It was on the side that no one is allowed to pull parts from and had been stripped down so long ago that it was rusty, so I know they lied. No one checked anything. Employees act like they don't want to be bothered, don't want to be there, and hang the phone up on you multiple times when they don't want to be bothered. Horrible customer service.
