My teenage daughter was in an accident and Phil from Ferry Farm towing came incredibly fast. He did an amazing job loading up the car and getting us out as quick as he could in the summer heat. I returned to their shop to take pictures for insurance. There was a male customer in front of me being very rude to them, despite their incredible customer service. He was upset that they had to follow a specific law with their practices, something far out of their control. I’ve never seen such patient and kind service, despite the irrational behavior of the customer. They then proceeded to assist us with a smile as though nothing had happened. I will absolutely be doing business with them in the future and I would recommend them to any of my friends and family!!

Hands down the best and most honest tow company ever. If I ever need a tow again, I will be calling them first.

I highly recommend this repair shop. They do the work correctly and are honest. Ask for Blaine to be your tow truck driver. He towed my car and he was very thorough and courteous.

We scheduled a state inspection and were informed that all of our brakes needed to be repaired. Based upon our knowledge about the vehicle, we knew this information was incorrect. We ended up taking our “failed” vehicle to another location a few days later and it passes with no repairs being needed. I would like to caution anyone about going to this garage for repairs since they are not honest individuals. Would give half a star if it were possible. Having a mechanic in the family, we know how to identify failing brakes. Inventing false issues to wrongly charge customers is not professional.

I started using their service in 2014. At that time the service was great. However, in the last two years each time I took my vehicles for work or inspection the prices became excessive and each car failed inspection. This week I too my van in for an inspection. They claimed I needed rotors and breaks. When I reminded them that they failed the van for the same thing two years ago, they replaced my brakes and rotors at that time and the fact that the van is rarely driven. they started back pedaling. After they checked their computer records, I was given more bogus excuses. Since I use to work on cars before becoming disabled, I knew they were not be transparent. I had another mechanic look at the van and then took it to another inspection station. The van passed. I paid $20 for something Gerry Farms was going to charge me $690.

Great local mechanics you can trust. They also will refer you if they're too busy. That shows a lot of honesty. Never had an issue with upcharges or faulty work. Definitely "My mechanic".

I took my 2013 Corolla in because my steering wheel was shaking every time I applied my brakes. I dropped it off in the afternoon and they got back to me the next morning. They told me they had to replace my rotors, pads, a caliper boot seal and a rear wheel bearing. I authorized the work and waited till the next day to pick my car up. I picked my car up that afternoon and started driving again and noticed the issue was still there. I dropped the car back off and the next day they said my calipers had to be changed. I picked my car back up the next day and again started driving and noticed there was a scraping sound coming from the rear where they had changed my bearing. I decided to pull the wheel off myself and noticed that the drums and shoes were in bad shape. The scraping sound had not been there before and I just had the safety inspection done 8 months prior. I decided to change it myself. The complaint I have on this particular shop is that twice I took my car in and they failed to tell me my drums and shoes were bad. I don’t believe they actually test drove the car after the work they did. They also charged me twice the labor on the rotors and pads which were not the problem the first time. And the mechanic never even contacted me to let me know exactly what needed to be done. Everything was communicated through the receptionist who by the way was very courteous and I have no complaints towards her. But needless to say I don’t recommend this shop at all.

I took my 2017 Ford F250 in for inspection and was told it failed because of the windshield tint. I've had the truck since 2019 and it has passed all inspections, including one at Ferry Farm Repair. When I pointed this out, they confirmed that the vehicle had previously been inspected there and passed (the window is the same and the laws are the same). Their explanation was that the guy who inspected it previously no longer worked there! When I got home I saw that they had also checked the form indicating that the windshield wipers failed, although they said nothing about it to me. On seeing this, I went out and inspected the windshield wipers physically and in operation. They are flawless. I have used Ferry Farm Repair for several years, but I will never return. They are not customer friendly, so beware.

A Perfectionist's Paradise: An Over-the-Top Review of Ferry Farm Repair! Oh, dear readers, let me regale you with the tale of my recent encounter with the extraordinary Ferry Farm Repair. From the moment I entered the premises, I felt like I had stepped into a meticulously choreographed ballet of mechanical excellence. The reception area was adorned with plush cloth chairs that seemed to have been plucked straight out of a luxury car showroom. The ambience? A fusion of crisp air conditioning and a faint hint of motor oil, reminiscent of a tropical breeze mingling with the aroma of a mechanic's dreamscape. The waiting area, my dear friends, was a symphony of entertainment. I was delighted to find an extensive library of car magazines spanning decades, stacked with the utmost precision. A flat-screen TV, larger than life, showcased a mesmerizing montage of automotive masterpieces, showcasing the evolution of automobile design from the horseless carriage to the present day. Now, let's talk about the staff. The technicians at Ferry Farm Repair were like artists wielding their tools with the grace of ballet dancers. Their uniforms were spotless, adorned with badges that resembled medals of honor, signifying their expertise in the realm of automotive wizardry. I couldn't help but stand in awe as they communicated with each other using a secret language of gestures, like a synchronized team of pit crew members at a NASCAR race. But wait, there's more! The attention to detail at Ferry Farm Repair borders on obsession. Every tool on their workbenches was aligned with military precision, as if the General Mechanic himself had inspected each and every socket wrench. Now, let us delve into the repair process. The technicians wielded their diagnostic equipment with the precision of a brain surgeon, uncovering the secrets hidden within my vehicle's mechanical heart. They explained every issue with a level of detail that would make even the most seasoned mechanic blush with envy. I must admit, their passion for the inner workings of automobiles was truly infectious. Finally, the moment of truth arrived when my vehicle was ready for pick-up. The presentation was reminiscent of a grand unveiling at an international auto show. The technicians, with a flourish, unveiled my car, which gleamed in the sunlight, almost like showroom-quality lighting. It was as if they had breathed new life into my trusty steed, transforming it into a thoroughbred race car ready to conquer the streets. In conclusion, Ferry Farm Repair is not just an automotive repair shop; it is an experience that transcends mechanical mastery. From the awe-inspiring attention to detail to the symphony of precision, this establishment is a must-visit for any car enthusiast seeking a repair experience like no other. Prepare yourself for a journey into the heart and soul of automotive perfection, and prepare to be amazed!

These guys are awesome. Honest, knowledgeable, efficient. My truck broke down on rt 3- from being towed to completely fixed was only about 24hrs. It was a complex repair but they took care of it.

The poor rating is mainly due to the extreme $425 cost of a less than 10 mile tow. If you or someone you know is in an accident like my daughter do not call these people. You can search in Fredericksburg and find LOTs of garages that will do the job for $100-150 at any time of day. They did a good job, but $425 is outrageous and just taking advantage of a young woman who was upset and didn't realize (or ask) about the towing cost.

Great people, My family have used them for over 40 years, great honest folks. Not like chain garages. From oil changes to extensive repairs I trust these guys!

They reported 106k miles to carfax when they inspected my car the true mileage is 65k. I have proof from the emission and carfax paperwork with proper mileage showing but they choose not to fix it or be decent enough to admit their mistake. I will be getting the state police involved. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!!

I recently took my elderly mother's car for an annual inspection. They were more than willing to provide this service quickly and they gave me an honest opinion on what might need attention in the future. Very honest and helpful.

They were quick but they left my just vacuumed vehicle with dirt everywhere…and no I’m not being extra, you should never return something dirty, especially especially if you are paying…

Nice to find a shop where employees are warm, knowledgeable and honest. They helped when I had a flat tire no spare :(. They treated me with respect and resolved my issue to get me back on the road. I will be coming here for all my future auto needs. It’s hard to find shops with professionals who are honest and don’t try to make a quick buck. They value customers and I am impressed with their honesty and service.

Took my car in for a standard state inspection because they were right down the road from my job. They advised I needed new brakes, rotors, and suspension control arms for over $1400 in repairs. I was shocked and advised I just had my brakes replaced less than a year ago so I find it surprising that I “need new brakes”... So then they said oh your back brakes “looked great” but the front ones need replacing. They “rejected” my car for the state inspection. I drove it straight over to my regular repair shop who looked at my brakes/suspension and confirmed they did not need to be replaced. I would not recommend going to this shop if you don’t want to be taken advantage of. I understand a state inspection doesn’t make you money, but I am seeing a trend of repair shops all advising brakes need to be replaced lately.

Our young adult son took his truck in with brake issues. They were able to look at the truck and call him back within an hour with an estimate. When he asked if he could buy his own parts to save a little money they allowed that (although of course they don't warranty the part if it's not theirs). He brought the part to them they let him know the brand he'd chosen (of course the cheapest) wasn't the best product as it tended to fail within the first year. They recommended a very slightly more expensive brand, which the auto part store also carried, because it came with a three year warranty and in their experience it lasted the full three years. When he took the part back to the auto store the man there said it was a smart call to switch out to the other brand listing the same reason (why the auto parts store carries the inferior brand in the first place is a topic for different review). After dropping the new part back off and asking for the tires to also be rotated we left expecting it to be hours before we heard from them. Nope, they called right around the hour mark telling him the truck was ready! I really appreciated their willingness to help a young man save a bit of money by allowing the purchase of his own parts, I appreciate their willingness to help educate him about parts and brands and reasons without being condescending, and you honestly can not beat the speed with which they both looked over the truck to let him know what was wrong and then getting the part installed and the truck road worthy again once they had the part delivered. Based on this experience I'll definitely recommend to my husband he gives this small shop a try if we have any car repairs he doesn't have the time for or chooses not to do himself.

I was very please with the work they did to my vehicle both time I took it to them. The guys are very professional and honest people. But the best was that they had the best prices in town!

The guys here seem knowledgeable and fast, but I ran into two problems. (1) They are very overpriced. Parts cost more than double what they would at other shops in the area. (2) Two different customers complained the problems Ferry Farm Repair supposedly fixed had come back. It made me skeptical their workmanship actually holds up.

Ferry Farm Repair is a friendly, professional vehicle repair shop. The staff is knowledgeable and they complete repairs in a timely manner. I have been a customer for over 20 years and they have always treated me fairly and honestly. I would recommend them highly.

I’ve been going here for years, and I have never had a bad experience! I always come here for oil changes, state inspections, and any other they have recently had an ownership change and the new owner is one of the former mechanics. The shop has been cleaned up, and now I don’t feel like I need a tetanus shot when I go there. I definitely would recommend this shop to everyone!!

Excellent Service! The staff was friendly and professional and the automotive technician took the time to discuss the automotive problem with me prior to replacing the part. The cost was reasonable and the service was performed quickly! I definitely recommend bringing your vehicle here for service.

Great shop! Been coming here for a long time. If you need mechanics that actually care about your car's needs this is a great place. They even give a lot of advice and input on better ways to take care of your vehicle for the long haul. Couple years ago rear end in my mustang was noisey and hopping around turns. I took it to one shop and they said it was gonna be around 800 dollars because I was gonna need a new rear end. So my car sat for months since I didn't have the money. Patrick's checked it out and said I needed gears for the rear. $180 bucks. Been bringing that car here ever since. 220,000 miles on the dash. Thanks Patricks!

Patricks can be trusted. They've been repairing cars for 3 generations of my family - everything from Ford to Kia to Subaru. They are always fair and upfront about the cost and the repairs needed. I esp love the way they work with me on old cars to keep them running safely, without overspending their actual value.
