I called at 12:30 today and let the employee know that I will be dropping a car off today. She said that's fine and said I can come by any time before 5. After I got the car loaded and ready to go, my ETA was 4:30 because I live an hour and a half away and I let them know what my ETA was. 30 mins into my drive (3:25), she emailed me and said we arent taking cars after 3:30 after specifically saying at 12:30 that anytime before 5 is fine.
I had an excellent experience at Rupert’s U-Pull-It in Fredericksburg. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and professional from the moment I arrived. All of my questions were answered clearly — including price estimates, vehicle locations, and the yard rules.
The yard itself is very well organized and maintained. Vehicles are arranged by manufacturer, and the signs make it easy to find the section you need. The car I was looking for (Ford 1D) was exactly where the staff said it would be — first row of the Ford section, fourth car in — which saved me a lot of time.
What really stood out was the level of customer service. I was offered a wheelbarrow to haul my tools, the staff came to pick me up in the yard when I was done pulling parts as requested, and after I pulled several body panels they even helped me carry them back across the lot to my vehicle after checkout. On top of that, their core charge return policy is very fair, with no strict time frame as long as you keep your receipt.
This is by far one of the best-run and most customer-focused U-Pull-It yards I’ve been to. Great prices, clean yard, and outstanding service. Highly recommend!
I was onsite to pick up parts for my Volvo project car. The car was easy to find once I understood the layout. The parts were priced nicely. I picked up four interior door panels, a center console, shifter boot, door handles, and a glove box.
I walked back to the checkout counter with the four door panels and was very winded and tired. I still had more parts to get but wasn’t able to make it all the way back there by myself. Ryan, who is amazing, helped me out when I was feeling weak and helped me get the rest of my parts. His coworker Dennis was amazing as well with the assist.

I’m going to stray from the norm here because today was not about the excellent parts on hand or the excellent prices as well. Today was more about the humanity of everyone who works here.
Today’s adventure into Rupert’s yard was to find a couple tail lights for my son’s car and I brought along my Dad with me. Let’s face it, our Dad’s are the ones that “teach us how to hold a flashlight the correct way and even as he hits 80, I still value his advice in the garage. Not to sound long winded, let me get to my point…
We were on our way back to the office to settle up and head back down 95. Half way there from the back lot my Dad hit a virtual wall; diabetes, heart, heat and meds combined. One second he was fine and the next I didn’t hear him behind me, he casually walked over to a tire and sat down. He didn’t look well and I immediately called the office to see if someone was available to come pick us up. Without hesitation someone was dispatched and drove us up to the office.
My Dad’s a Vietnam Vet, Navy man. God, Family, Country, and sometimes you toss in a little stubborn as a Beagle and that’s my Dad.
From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank everyone at Rupert’s for helping my Dad today. Offering him water to rehydrate, a cool place to sit and get his sea legs while I cool down the car, and above all, having the decency to do what good people do.
The entire ride home was him talking about his ‘56 Ford Victoria, and me just taking it all in like it was the first time I’ve ever heard about it, even though I’ve heard and lived those stories for 50 yrs now.
Again, thank you for being good people, and thank you for providing us with a safe and enjoyable experience at great prices. You have customers for life I can promise you that, but I can’t promise he won’t try to hug the pretty woman at the front…the man may be part Beagle, but he’s still a flirt.

This is my new U pick yard. As much as I would like to keep this place to myself, I recommend everyone try here first. The inventory search on their website is easy to use and accurate. The vehicles are all lifted off the ground for easy access underneath, the lug nuts are loose for easy access to brake, steering and suspension components. the lot is clean, well laid out and laid back. There is room between vehicles to work. The staff is awesome and the prices are really good.

This is by far the best u pull it yard that I have ever been in! Staff is super helpful and friendly. Yard is kept clean and all cars are up of the ground with space to work around.
It is the best junkyard in the area and it's not even close. Almost all the cars have salvageable parts and the prices are extremely competitive.

Just visited Ruperts U-Pull-It and I was impressed. This place is well organized and nicely laid out. The vehicles are fresh and not picked over. Plus, instead of the oily, muddy mess you normally have to slog through and lay down in...Ruperts has a couple acres of concrete!!! Fantastic place and amazing prices.
Excellent new u-pull-it yard. Easy to get to off route 1. Organized with a solid variety of vehicles. Clean as a yard can be. Vehicles are raised on wheels so you can get underneath easily. Customer service was great and informative. They have a handout with maps and a price list all on one sheet when you enter. I highly recommend them for parts if you like to pull them yourself. I will definitely be coming back in the future.
